As an Alumna, Class of '72, I so appreciate the effort The Millbrook Library is making to collect and preserve the history of our beloved Bennett College. Thank you! ✨🙏✨

In 2015, when visiting from Minnesota with friends in Connecticut, we chanced upon this site as we drove through Millbrook, NY and were immediatly fascinated by this very striking building and surrounding campus. On the way back through town we took some time to drive as close as we could to further sight-see what was becoming apparant as a very intriguing set of ruins. In the time since, it's been fun to learn much about what was the Bennet School for Girls. I feel fortunate to have come across it before it was gone and it's unfortunate that the site was not able to be saved. Thank you for preserving it's history!

Very interesting presentation. I was entranced by the abandoned exploration of the beautiful buildings and then looked at old photos of when it was operating. What an amazing place to go to school! Sad that the building was not saved, but glad that you are saving the history.

I've heard that the science center was barely even used, only open for 4-5 years and few classes were held in it even when it was open. Sad story, actually. I've seen pictures of the science center taken in 2013 and 2014 and it was still in remarkably good shape especially given that Halcyon Hall was already suffering major structural collapses by then.
