- First impressions of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, celebrating Kathina Festival!
As we set off on the next leg of our journey through South-East Asia, we touched down in Phnom Penh and were instantly overwhelmed by everything. The busyness of the streets, tuk-tuks flying past you, the smells, markets and the absolutely lovely people.
We didn't know what to fully expect from this city as neither of us have visited, however we could have only imagined our first day was going to end up the way it did!
It was such a great first impression of Cambodia and we instantly felt so welcomed to the country. Cambodians really are hospitable people and that proved to shine through for the rest of our time there! Follow us as we have more videos to come!

You get good deeds for carrying the monks' gifts on your heads. The Cambodians gave you the chance ..
Oh amazing, we didn't know that was a tradition, but we feel so grateful to be given that opportunity. It was such a fun and exciting experience 😊
Such a blessing moment that rarely do other foreigners had like both of you, even I . It is one of the bigger Buddhist ceremony that our people unite together to offer, pray and contribute at the same time. 🎊

We visited quite a few temples whilst we were in Cambodia, we'll share more videos over the coming weeks! The one we visited in this video was so much fun, we were so privileged to visit during the Katina festival! 😊

I'm not surprised you couldn't find it. It's actually my home town field hockey team (Sittingbourne Hockey Club)! I used to train and play with them week on week and it's such a great club!
The top is perfect for travelling in as it's sports material so light and airy for when it is hot and sweaty 😂
