Very well explained! Once i moved from a house that had mold in the basement. My ild stablelized. My pulmonologist put me on Ofev to keep my scarring from getting worse. Been stable for over 3 years & only need oxygen when working out at pulmonary rehab and when i sleep at night. Thank you for this information.
Excellent video. I've been diagnosed with Pulmonary fibrosis the origins of which may be from Covid 19. But,my left hand is affected. I can't make a fist and lost all strength in my hand, but not my arm.My fingers are twisting upwards very slightly and I'm having tests for myopathy. I'm not sure if the two conditions started at the same time. So, I'm trying to figure out if the ILD caused my hand weakness,or vice versa ? I'm taking Esbriet and the IlD has stabilised. If you could do a video on the matter of connective tissue disease or arthritis re ILD, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Hello Doc hoping that my comment will be noticed. my daughter, 8 years old, has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Hemosiderosis. How does this differ with IPF? And what treatment plans can we do to lessen her flares? Your response is greatly appreciated
Thank you for this and your other videos. At the end of this video, you conclude "Not all ILD is IPF" Which is saying not all ILD have unknown causes. However would it not be true to say "All IPF are ILD"? Similarly, Not all cases of dementia are Alzheimer's. However, all Alzheimer's have dementia. I bring this up because in my case I have PF resulting in ILD caused by chemotherapy (MTX) and Covid therefore I am NOT IPF.
Thankyou Stefan I need oxygen with minimal exertion Though my resting oxygen is around 92 on exertion it can drop to 85 How will I know whether I need nocturnal oxygen Regards
Thank you for making these videos.

yeah, your logical argument makes sense. I recently put up a video about potential causes
Thankyou Stefan
