- Updated once again for the Halloween season; a montage of the second most well-known sound effect in the entertainment industry (next to the Wilhelm Scream), the Castle Thunder, as seen on this site...
www.hollywoodlostandfound.net/...
In the animation world, this sound was typically associated with Disney and Hanna-Barbera. By 1988, Castle Thunder began to be phased out by most movie, TV and animation studios, however some cartoons in the 1990s onward continue to use it (especially anything that Pomann Sound and Hacienda Post/Sabre Media Studios does sound editing on, or certain reboots of older properties). This montage is a continuing work-in-progress and will be replaced with an updated version sometime in the future.
For those curious, I've compiled a list of the cartoon clips used here:

A BIG thank you to the Sound Effects Wiki for helping me find some of these clips!
NOTE: I chose to not include SpongeBob SquarePants, even though the pre-2005 episodes used Castle Thunder, using all the clips of it would take up too much room; same reason why "Hey Arnold" isn't here. I was also surprised to hear it heard in a Season 34 episode of "The Simpsons," of all places! ("Lisa the Boy Scout") Usually, the show uses a thunderclap that sounds like the old Warner Bros. gunshot sound effect.
All clips ™ and © by their respective owners; FAIR USE! - Фільми й анімація
One of the most reused sound effects in cartoons.
I don’t know totally spies used this sound effect and this is coming from someone who is a fan of the show.
It wasn't that often; usually as a gag to express someone's anger or disappointment with a metaphorical storm cloud.
@@ZakWolf Oh.
Very cool Zak, I heard the castle thunder sound in some cartoons
That's awesome, Zak Wolf! There are other shows that use Castle Thunder too. Animal Stories, Charlie and Lola, JoJo's Circus, Stanley, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The Angry Beavers, Being Ian, Braceface, ChalkZone, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Fishtronaut, Fly Tales, Littlest Pet Shop, Kick Buttowski, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Timmy Time, The Wild Thornberrys, El Tigre, Jakers, The Problem Solverz, VeggieTales, Adventure Time, Big City Greens, Chowder, Courage the Cowardly Dog, For Better or For Worse, Freaky Stories, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, The Mr. Men Show, Oh Noah, Mickey Mouse Works, Sofia the First, Sid the Science Kid, Timon & Pumbaa, Victor and Valentino and The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse. There was also another Sheep in the Big City episode that used it: "Flock, UP in the Sky!".
Request To Zack wolf: Can you make appearance of Hollywood edge, thunder, dry, rumbles, in every single cartoon shows from 1989 till today?
Wow. I remember these creepy scenes. From some of my favorite shows. Thanks for the memories! (Also a song title from FALL OUT BOY). Keep up the great job.

What new clips have updated on this video this time?!
"The Fairly OddParents" using the Disney version of the thunder, “Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City”, the "Dragon Tales" fun house, "Camp Lazlo", an additional "Grojband" clip, the "Furby Island" teaser trailer, and "Looney Tunes Cartoons".
@@ZakWolf I think you forgot the Grojband episode "Grin Reaper". It was used during the song Grojband played when Kin played his keyboard.
@@carriebeffsucks2004, I will add that next time I update this.
You need Scaredy pants when the Flying Dutchmen comes in the Krusty krab
@@CountryFlagsCF, maybe I'll add that in a future update, since it was the first SpongeBob episode to use Castle Thunder. But it might be the only SpongeBob episode I show clips from, so ParamountGlobal doesn't get miffed. (It was used quite a bit in the first four seasons, but then they stopped using it afterward, most likely due to changing sound editing companies.)
from which scooby doo was this clip? 4:15
