I'm 37 and have been wanting to become a content creator but kept thinking that I'm too old or too late in the game to do it. So I'm very thankful for your videos. Thank you for your knowledge and inspiration.
I’ve started in my 50s to go alongside a fledgling photography business. I’m working through the awkwardness but I have been inspired by other older content creators. I also think the market is less saturated for older content creatures so it could even be an advantage? Maybe
@@janerowlandphot Just starting and in my early 50's so TOTALLY feeling the awkwardness. I plan to just embrace the fear and lean into it. There are alot of is in this age range just getting going!

I've been in the content creation space for a few years now, promoting and supporting other people's brands. I keep telling myself if I want to be financially successful that I need to step up and create my personal brand. But, the fear! Keep in mind I tell me clients to do things scared. I think we all need to start taking our own advice.
So true Enricka! I've always said it's easier for me to post for clients because I don't have the mental hangups they do...but when it comes to my own brand, all those fears rear their ugly heads!! We definitely need to listen to our own advice 🤣
@With Love, Kandice It's a combination of factors. For one thing, I am an introvert, so being the face of my brand is a bit intimidating for me. In my quiet creative space, I excel at developing strategies for others to improve their online marketing. But the thought of putting myself in front of the camera makes me cringe. As I've gained a lot of weight over the years, I've developed imposter syndrome as well as body image issues. All these things makes it comfortable for me to stay behind the scenes.
@With Love, Kandice Really... Thank you. This is a textbook case of imposter syndrome in action. I was thinking about changing the banner because I wasn't sure if it was a good representation of what I do and how I can help entrepreneurs and SMBs. But the more I think about it, the more I realize it's just a distraction. I'm starting with writing more content on Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and then I'll work up the courage to share it on UA-cam.

Thank you for sharing this Katie! HI Katie ! You deserve a huge applause 👏👏👏 . I love your honesty. You have help me break some my fears in Instagram. Thank you for sharing your tips. Enjoy your van travels 💞🙋♀️
I absolutely LOVE your videos and advice! I had come across your podcast then your instagram and now here I am! you’re so humble which I admire so much. I have learned so much from you and continue to do so. Thank you for being so open with your advice, I will use it all to be successful on my own ❤️
So here's my story. I made videos FOR YEARS (2007-2015-6). Back then, especially in the beginning, I just posted whatever and I never cared about being the best at anything. I'd talk about language learning, projects, books, ambitions, my interests and so on... Now that I'm 32 and I see all these younger creators giving me the great cameras, the aesthetic, the vibes and the everything, it has all significantly cranked up my self-doubt, tbh. I know what I COULD do (stationery, languages, chill convesation and so on), but IS IT HARD ... XD
Hi Katie!! Not sure if you’ve already made this video, but can you show how you analyze your youtube analytics and turn those numbers and data into what videos you plan to make next, what keywords to use so you can better target your audience, etc. Or something about how to get subscribers that actually watch your uploads instead of just subscribing and not watching! Could really use help on those! 💖
Thanks for all the awesome videos Katie. I’ve finally decided to start my travel Vlog on You Tube so I am going to go back and watch your videos for getting started.
Hi Katie! I really love your videos. Please please do more ideas for Instagram reels. I’m a start-up content creator and I love watching your videos to get ideas. You inspire me so much 💗
Super helpful tips. I especially liked the one about on how to keep your first Instagram account for your content creation & create a new one for personal. I have been thinking about this very question myself? Do I tell my friends & family to move over to my new account because I am trying to keep this one for content creation? Feels awkward but needs to be done. 😅
Do you feel that we can be successful using a personal channel versus a brand channel? In the end game. In possibly earning a living. Some say we need to switch to a brand channel. Thoughts please. Happy to have found your channel. 🙂
Ugh…. So true I hide behind creating new account so that people don’t judge me or find out what I’m trying to do which makes no sense 🙄 do you recommend the same for podcasts or should I have a separate IG for my pod?
Yes to vanlife updates! This was something I was going to persue a few years ago but ended up buying a modest house, so now we can live vicariously through you! It would be great to have a playlist of life as a digital nomad on the road and strategies for making money on the road, as well as seeing your travels! Hope to start a UA-cam myself soon. Thanks for all your helpful tips, Katie!
Me: I'm worrying so much about getting accepted as a content creator ugh ! guess what "Katie drops a video on the same ,how do you know this katie ????
I've been loving your videos, and am seriously considering starting a youtube account. I feel like I need to mess around with video editing and the youtube set up to gain some confidence first!
omg that's so exciting! i definitely think you should 🙌🏻 start with just making some videos, even if you don't end up posting them - it will be great practise (and who knows, you might end up loving them and wanting to post them anyway!)
Awesome!! 😍 You just touched one topic that is driving me nuts... I had a personal account on Instagram that I recently turned into a creator account so I feel really akward towards those friends or acquaintances that keep interacting only with my posts where I show my face (and not my specific content that is based on art) and which clearly puzzle my stats when it comes to check which content performed better and why. Could you please do a video about it and how to deal with this situation without sounding rude or strange to those people?
is there a way for you to make a few posts that include your face and your art, or your process maybe? That may help them to transition, and may also help with algorithm issues of having two different types of content? I do think that overall though, art pages that include the artist will do better than art pages that are only ever just art, and it is ok to have multiple content pillars!
I’m new here and a new creator/influencer. Trying to do mom/nurse/baby hacks advice reviews niche. (if that makes sense 😂) Struggling to get more followers the organic way. Most brands want me to have a lot more followers. Struggling with scam ambassador brands, like you talked about, found one good company to work with and now I’m scared to make a video/review becuse I am afraid of my friends & fan seeing it and I’m also afraid I don’t have enough followers on IG yet and maybe I should make something else first? Can or do you have a video about how to make a collab video/paid partnership for us please?? TYIA ❤️ your channel!
Fear is our enemy that is stopping us from taking action. Drop your fear aside and take a leap of faith. As they say you can't do the same things every day and expect different results! 🙂
I been on UA-cam almost 10 years and I STILL DON'T have a decent following. It just doesn't work for everyone. I post weekly anyway, and somehow managed to get 6 Million views on FB in a month, and an influencer on Tiktok. BUT UA-cam HAS NEVER EMBRACED ME EVER!!!! I STILL have under 10k followers after 10 years!!!! I thought I sucked until I got 6 million views on FB and IG. UA-cam is just not for me I guess. I post here now IN DEFIANCE! LOL! 😂

Love your tips, van life and the lipstick! Thank you for making these videos! ❤🔥🙌
Thank you for sharing your experience to everyone .
Fantastic message, fantastic video. You hit on every excuse that is holding me back. Well done!
Thank you for all the advice in this video
Thankyou 😍
Me: I'm worrying so much about getting accepted as a content creator ugh !
guess what "Katie drops a video on the same ,how do you know this katie ????
Haha omg! I’m so glad I could swoop in at the right time lol
@@katie I'm so happy you shared this !
I just have to say : thank you so much! I was about to quit.
You helped me 🥺 Thank You Katie ❤️
What is your take on edited videos vs live and do they monetize live videos? Please and thank you.
@@overly.chromatic yes, you're probably right, maybe I should include myself more 😅
@@DanielaPanico you and me both hahaha 2022 goal!
Haha! I am in the mindset of starting a vegan lifestyle page on Instagram, so when you said "vegan cooking" I was like, "how did she know????"
omg yesss do it!! 🌱
Great video needed this for sure! ❤️
Also, you said "zed". Always makes me laugh because I'm Canadian and we say "zee". 💖
What a great video! Thank you for this
Well said, thank you
Thank you ✌🏼
Loved this thank you!
My fear is not being able to film and upload it takes all day I can’t figure out an easy way different every day 🤷🏼♀️
I’m new here and a new creator/influencer.
TYIA ❤️ your channel!
thank you... you're awesome 👌 👏
I think you are fantastic!
Mine is I don't know how to edit videos. I consumed so much well edited reels that I feel published something will be a joke
Fear is our enemy that is stopping us from taking action. Drop your fear aside and take a leap of faith. As they say you can't do the same things every day and expect different results! 🙂
❤️ This Is Great!
Lol @ Hannah Montana double life bc that's exactly how I feel 🤣 😂
Very helpful 👍
I love your videos!
I plan on starting my content creation journey focus on christianity
Getting started is the hardest!! How can I organize myself to create content? 🤔
Just posted my first video today and I am so grateful for the 2subscribers, 3 likes and one comment I got so far.
LOL! 😂
