Agreed. I used to fear the death of my granny. It used to wake me shaking uncontrollably in the middle of the night. I resented that fear had such control over me. At that point I decided fear was NOT my master. My employees used to comment that I always appeared to have no fear, I told them "I have fear, I simply will not let it control me, take a deep breath, cause we are going in". The sad thing is, most people think they're revolutionaries, when they're just as conformist as everyone else.
Try asking someone would they rather be poor but remembered for generations, or rich and forgotten about in ten years, and most would still choose the latter.
Conformity leads to a lack of conflict. A lack of conflict leads to an easy life. So most people conform cause it's the easiest thing to do, even though it can sometimes be the most detrimental.

Gratitude/prayer helps foster a sense of being thankful for the things you have as opposed to upset over the things you don't have. Ignore politics, it's beaurocratic garbage designed to distract you and make you afraid. Focus on exercise/healthy diet/structure/leading by example and changing the world that way. Go to bed and wake up everyday at the same time. Prioritize making your bed/keeping a clean living space. Throw out your old junk (don't horde garbage). Keep things organized. Love yourself.

You're not wrong by any regard, getting people of integrity into positions of power is absolutely the ideal.
Be happy you're not in America. I will try to caption the difficulty our peasants see, from the bottom out.
Our political system has broken down to what is, essentially, a popularity contest. This being backed by wealth from corporate investors that promise campaign donations for the ability to bypass environmental laws that guarantee the safety of taxpayers. The end result, is that the industry suffers no capital loss, as political donations can be written off as non-profit loss. However, the cost of remediation or loss of property value is simply left to the taxpayers. Ironically, the ones whom pay for the service of the agency responsible for controlling damages incurred by unscrupulous companies.
We've already had an uprising. It was almost non-violent. It ended with aggression and detention of protesters by law enforcement (whom were just doing their job) and each one defamed, convicted and incarcerated for maximum penalty.
So here we are, history is written by the victorious. The red flag waves just under the large white. This country is headed for reform by violent means, and that's not good for anyone. Even at this moment, they continue to wag the dog.
As George Carlin, an American comedian stated, " it's a club, and you're not invited."
Meanwhile, legislators profit from collusion in the stock market with those very same corporate listings to which they vote legislation to/against. All while maintaining plausible deniability by third party proxies.
Do I judge a man by action alone?
      No, sir (or mam).
I judge a person on the trivial. Whether an individual says excuse me while passing, or holding the door for another. Please and thank you.
Those are acknowledgment of common ground, irrespective of intent.
I love what the founding fathers stated at the inception and declaration of my countrys ' existence meant.
I am one of those refugees, inside my own country. Already bought the land, far enough from society that this hopefully never impacts the remaining years of my life.
" Give me your tired, your poor. Your huddled masses."
I end this to state: I envy those of a simple life. They do so much with so little, it should shame modern American infrastructure. The pure beauty of coexistence in absolute terms appeals to me in a way that most never comprehend.
When I die, I want for only a tree as my plot. Feast on my bones while shading those that need. And wither itself without a mark on this earth, but for the life that springs from that abundance.
In the grandstand, I wish for mediocrity and ambivalence among man. It won't be had. The tide is coming in.
WWIII is here. These little skirmishes only predict that eventuality.
Political leaders will sway the masses just as Pearl Harbor or 9/11 before. Iraq.
I am happy for you, wherever you are. I hope the U.S. operations skirt your world. Or that you find yourself elsewhere, before the bombs find you.

Please make more of these with Daniel Schmachtenberger!
Would love to see the animated version of the part where he says:
"Being engaged in activism of different kinds I got to see a factory farm very young.
I grew up eating meat without thinking about where it came from while also having dogs, cats and guinea pigs.
I loved animals and when I saw the condition of the animals in the factory farm, it was an animal Auschwitz, it was mind blowing unnecessary continuous suffering.
I stopped eating meat that day and I started studying everything that I could about factory farming and animal rights.
I was nine and that put me into my first deep suicidal phase because if someone was doing that to my dog, if my dog was in that kind of tortured position, I would
do anything to stop it, and these were billions of animals that were as sentient as my dog and I didn't know how to stop it but I couldn't know that it was happening and just ignore it and focus on other things and feel okay.
I was like: 'I can stop thinking about them but they can't get out of being there, they have no way to get themselves out and maybe since I'm not in there I can get them out.'
It could have been just as easy that I was born into that situation with my consciousness or born as a child soldier but fortunately I was born into
this situation and that is a blessing that I can take no credit for, but there's an obligation that comes with it, and the obligation is maybe I can do something.
I realized that I couldn't kill myself because that didn't get any of the animals out, that didn't save them.
So how do I live and just be normal to people in conversations and talk about normal stuff and be focused on whatever my own personal self-centered stuff is while knowing that an infinity of torture
is happening and be okay with it?
I would have to dissociate completely and that makes me a sociopath in a way, and so I felt like there was no way that I could just have a successful life that didn't require being a sociopath but I couldn't kill myself and so the only answer was that I have to end factory farms and so that got me engaged in activism.
And then that showed me the overfishing of the oceans, the destruction of the coral reefs, the deforestation and the destruction of all these things and so it just kept expanding.
The benefit of that is, when you really see the suffering in the world deeply enough and you take it in deeply enough that it can never not be with you, it's a antidote to the narcissism that is otherwise ubiquitously conditioned in everybody, to just be focused on me, my desires, my goals, my problems, what do I need, how am I advancing myself, my progress etc. which is just such a horrible prison of a way to be.

Whenever I hear about the Milligram experiment, I imagine a meta-experiment in which the scientists are the actual subjects. At what point did they realize that they were causing severe psychological harm to the people they believed were the subjects, even driving them to suicide? And yet they continued to pursue the experiment. "For science."

I studied psychology, and I remember learning about the Milgram et al. study on obedience. The Ash study, too. The Prison study is also horrifying.
I was genuinely horrified, but the worst thing was not knowing how I'd react. I wanted to think that I'd say no, and I'd demand an end to the experiment. But I couldn't be sure.
Then Covid happened. I'm now sure that I'm not a conformist. If I'd lived in Nazi Germany, then I'd probably have been murdered at the same time as The White Rose*.

At the time Teachers and leaders in the community were encouraging everyone to just submit to the Nazi regime, the JW looked crazy for not bowing. But now when we look back, many JW died in the Concentration Camps, many survived, I think of their courage. Compliant people oppose fission power because some cultural icon (Maybe Jane Fonda 50 years ago?) told them that they should hate it. People are very willing to hate. They feel virtuous because they hate what someone told them to hate. Meanwhile they are opposing abundant energy for 8 billion people on the planet. So sad. So ironic. Civilizations have ended over matters smaller than this. I remain hopeful that we will embrace electrification and solar and wind and batteries and conservation and fission. I remain hopeful. Here in Seattle we had Jabartheid. Before the WH started their threats, people here were frantically exploring ways to attack the unjabbed. They kicked everyone out of any organization they could, employers rolled out mandates in their own. Landlords were even attempting to make injection necessary to sign a lease! I work with the public, and for a time, I could count on hearing dozens of people hissing and gleefully bashing anyone who remained uninjected. They wanted ever more controls and punishments. They took to a two tiered society with relish and almost puerile excitement. I am 100% certain that they'd trip over themselves forcing the uninjected into concentration camps if they were given the green light. It was insane, and I'll never see my neighbors the same again.

Hello Mark. It is finally great to see the face behind a channel that I have loved forever.
The concise, artistic and truthful basis of your messages are such that they truly convey messages of facts and processes that were in front of our noses all along but which we were unable to see. Of course, once something is pointed out to us, then we slap our forehead and say "of course, of course".
Yet, a metaphorical infinity of issues and events come across our eyes and ears every hour, every minute (see the cell-phone generation of near-zombies that we are!) and, though we think of ourselves intelligent and smart, we find it extremely difficult to extricate ourselves from the NARRATIVES that have been predisposed for us.
What I am saying is that despite my being aware of what you (and DANIEL) just elucidated for us, i bet I will be the first one to STILL fall pray to the intents of that NARRATIVE.
Go figure! So the question remains: Is there a way out for us out of this tragedy short a full collapse of our Society with the hope that our survivors may try again and this time do it more successfully?
Mark, thank you so very much for your work and for your dedication to your channel.

Absolutely, great video !!! Herd behaviour is the biggest human weakness. Human being is a social creature and there is a strong need to adapt, not being able to adapt leads to suffering. Like everything, this must have negative aspects, herd mentality, sheeps, it's better to adapt even if we're wrong, we can all be wrong together, being a black sheep is much worse.

The whole Culture War is basically blue sheep versus red sheep (although blue started it.) The end result is the same - more corporate and government control over your life - regardless which "side" wins. The game is rigged from the start, and the only winning move is to not play.

The same instinct can also create prosocial behavior in the right environment. We live surrounded by strangers and see our close family and friends far too rarely, this means we follow the wrong messages. Messages that are not intended for our betterment but to those of less giving people. Being a human is hard. : /

Did you ever read Lord of the Flies? People need to be responsible civically with governance not “rulers” in order for a society to thrive positively and not regress back to the days of the barbarians. Some spiritual guidance in love doesn’t hurt either to know how to treat one another with respect and kindness.

The children went to war just like their parents. It wasn’t an argument for governance but an allegory of how our children follow in our footsteps. That’s why the first part of the story was all about explaining the war that was ravaging their country at that time.

Evolutionary biologist say in most systems (small Petri dishes or large swaths of Amazon forest), it only takes around 15% of a pressure group in the environment to enact significant change. 15% new tree species, insect, gene mutation, people with a common belief - all it takes is 10-20% united pressure on the system and it will change.
