I like how you show that you are doing little corrections and adjustments to a well lit image where others would show an image for a tutorial but not mention that they had to dodge and burn the hell out of their pic to fix bad lighting. New photographers get frustrated when they can't get a pic that matches something heavily edited that they think is out of camera. So thanks.
Your makeup is beautiful! I've always enjoyed your videos and I feel like they just keep getting better. I've learned so much from your videos. Thanks for sharing your techniques!
Lindsay...you put together a well thought-out, relevant and practical tutorial that teaches techniques which can be used not only for indoor photography, but for outdoor shooting as well. It's an awesome technique that, once perfected, makes photographers much more versatile, IMHO. I haven't studied her work/tutorials extensively, but I recall Annie Leibovitz saying in a video that she really doesn't like sunny days when shooting outdoor photographs -- she prefers overcast days. Her shooting philosophy dictates that she have full control over the lighting to create with her camera gear the vision she has in her head. I feel like you did a great job expounding on that message and even made the viewers feel empowered with this video. You chose a great example for your tutorial, explained the techniques perfectly well enough for both novices and professionals to understand, and you are such a good, concise and interesting presenter. One thing that stands-out about your teaching is that you humbly show what the shots look like right out of the camera. To me, that is huge, especially for those new to photography. For decades, I thought Ansel Adams' photographs looked that great right out of the camera! I was devastated to learn that he used extensive techniques in the darkroom (pre-Photoshop) to make his photos "pop"! All those years, it was very frustrating to me that I couldn't get my photographs to look as stunning as his right out of the camera! LOL! I really enjoyed this video that you created. You did a wonderful job and I think it's one of the more important ones you've put out there. Keep them coming!
Thanks for sharing the video. I had this idea in my head for a while and now I know how it could look. Is there a way to get the glow without the filter?
Oh wow, truly a beautiful shoot! We are so fortunate to see videos like these especiailly since in reality shooting at sunset is challemging because the sun sets quickly and one does not have a whole afternoon to shoot. Thank you Lindsay Adler for all the knowledge you share with us all!
Thanks a lot 💫🤌 I love your way of explanation. So clear and interesting to learn from you ! To be honestly 🙈 I even have no any equipment for this shooting and never tried to make pictures with flash or strobes... but One Day I will do this ) and will return back for all Your educational videos 🙏❤️❤️❤️
I always knew this was possible BUT you showed it in a way that makes so much sense, no rambling like most videos I’ve seen on this topic straight to the point in very clear/concise manner You are REMARKABLY TALENTED! 💯❤️
As always, an amazing video ❤
You have to watch the video a few times to watch all the tips. Excellent work. 😊
I have learned a lot from your classes and a few times meeting you in person. Great work on your classes and website.
Thank you!
Magical! Thank you Lindsay.
Thank you!

As always, master queen!
I don't know why this has so little likes, the video is amazing and the shots are gorgeous
LOL tell the masses to like it!
Thank you for sharing Lindsay.
Are both lights on flash or continuous light
all flash!
Incredible as always
Awesome shots. at what white balance in camera did you shoot this?
Lindsay when are you coming to LA, we need you out here 😊
Not sure, but hopefully soon! :D
Brilliant!
I'm curious if you considered a CTO for the interior light as well, or if the walls were yellow enough to not need it?
No CTO on the interior light.
informative 10mins.
Thank you John!
Lindsay, which white balance do you with a CTO? Not many photographers actually mention this fact. Thanks ❤️
to balance would be tungsten, but if you want it to show up and look warm, flash or daylight.
both cracking shots
When you do this work, are you working with assistants?
Yes
Lindsay, do you think this type of lighting works for BW?
yes but id add a harder light to the face as well
The link for workshops is not working
Thanks! We'll look into it. It should be lindsayadler.photo/workshops
That black mist pays well probably, because its not first video about it.
Totally! The filters do add a little extra!
