Forever the jam
Here I am, 43 years old, schooling my 15 year old son on real rap and this song still hits like no other. I remember when this song dropped, i was younger than my son is now and it means even more now than when I was a teenager.
Great father💯
That's amazing dude. Congrats on your family. Hope you're keeping well in these hard times.
so you're raising a stupid man
Facts homie. Im 44 and my son is 3 and his head is starting to bob and he moves to this type specially the Wu Tang.. B.C.C forever.

I needed this. Takes me back to my High School days in the 90's. Now chillin in my backyard with a glass of wine and a shot of Peach Schnaps. Long live the magical era of the 90's.

These men had the whole n.y wearing army gear and tims when they dropped. Just imagine how n.y looked in that time with army gear and tims everywhere. They held it down when n.y didn't have any hard-core records. Gotta love these guys all day Brooklyn love.
11 hours ago! Uncle murda took me back to 95!
another underrated rap duo
ua-cam.com/video/xzWKEcClMbs/v-deo.html
One of the things Smif N Wessun and the rest of BCC did so well was going back and forth line to line instead of just taking turns with verses. You could tell the chemistry between that whole crew was organic.
Damn a lost art in hip hop😔
This is what I've been saying for years now, the back-and-forth art is an old school performance act that is dying but when done properly is super dope. Smif N Wessun was one of the best to do this. Nas and Kool G Rap also did well on "Fast Life". I wish more duos would do this
Bcc was better than wu
@@DankSi I'm just glad I had a chance to grow up enjoying them both
@@DankSi I love both but Wu just had MORE shit, in terms of raw number of albums and songs
This beat is sooooo hypnotic. Such a classic example of NY Hip Hop. No other city was fucking with 1970s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s NY. Even those who tried learned that shit. Those times built up strong characters and upbringing for the artists from there, and the music reflects it
The West Ruled The 90s
+Raider Hazard the west ruled COMMERCIALLY only during the early 90s, but guys like Rakim, Chuck D, Kool G Rap, Onyx, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, DITC, Wu Tang, A Tribe Called Quest, Redman, Freddie Foxxx, AZ, Gang Starr, Black Moon, and Masta Ace still released classic albums during those years. By the time 94 came, the East, and especially artists from NY have already surpassed in quality, and matched in sales, even surpassing sales by the late 90s. The West fell off after 96. It's not even a comparison 🙄
+Raider Hazard The West didn't rule shit EVER
TRUE INDEED SON!!!

One of the greatest tracks ever made.
So fresh, so real, so simple...so 90’s
Classic hip-hop when the lyrics and the message were the most important elements.
I know , this is why hip hop was created , people doesn't know what is real music nowadays.
Grams of get right hides pounds of anger...
Back when vocal tone and quality meant something as well. Buck down wins
Plus this sample and beat are fire
What about the beat? You throwin shade on many legendary producers
These guys never got the credit they deserved. They captured that era of hip hop perfectly maybe now only obvious because the era is over.
When Beatminers are on production you'd never say about undeserved credits. They deserve, both brothers, we know it and we love it.
These two played in Baltimore not too long ago and it was the most live concert i’ve been to!
They still perform? 😯
Different levels. You couldn’t replicate this if you tried your hardest. One off, they’ll never make em like this again. So much positivity and ambition. Masterpiece.
This track needs to be wrekonized worldwide, every human being with a soul & a heart needs and deserves to hear this ! It's a real thing of beauty, a masterpiece ... Something to marvel at for all eternity ... If you still listen to this in 2021 and beyond, leave a comment, let's keep this song alive !

The best era of hiphop as I knew it...was right here..... just listen to that beat after u smoke a dutch on relaxing mode....Music never be the same... 90" forever
And you can believe dat shit
Why is it called a Dutch. I am Dutch btw
@@BianGoole Dutch Masters is the brand name of the cigar that is popular because you can break it open and empty the tobacco and replace with marijuana. Back in the day it was a lot of brick weed and the cigar paper made it taste better. Now a Dutch Masters combined with good weed is where it's at. Philly blunts were/are another popular brand.
Was chillin in the crip Smokin some shit and this came up in a spotify playlist rlly good song maaane
Akoto Editing. You was chillin in a crip?
The brotherhood of BCC was and still is unmatched. BCC for life. Rest in P!
As much as I love the original version with that great bassline, this remix is just perfect. Their chemistry is off the charts.

Listen to the lyrics these guys were saying, so lyrical deep and intelligent. Smiff and Wesson legends.

Golden Years 🔥
I love that they are so hood. 😍 Genuine hood, not low life hood
Trish Jean-Louis ❤️
Trish Jean-Louis you could tell they mad smart
they came from a dirty project dump to a amazing penthouse in Manhattan
Respect
@@brandon0981 I'm guessing she means that they're "hood" instead of the hood being them. The hood isn't their identity. It's just where they come from so they take on certain behaviors. But being from the hood doesn't turn them into low lives.
The 90s how i miss you

Quite possibly the best hip hop song ever recorded. The early magic of BCC. No words can explain.
Can I miss places I've never visited and things I've never experienced? This song is proof for me 💙
😄 🤣 me too
I get goosebumps looking at this vid, man. This was 1995! For anyone that grew up around that time remembers the energy in the streets and in Hip Hop. Other than that, this was constantly coming on Video Music Box. All that's missing is the REQUEST LINE number flashing on the screen. LMAO But other than that, I'm good.
Smif n Wessun so underrated it’s not funny

Peace and blessings to these brothers for making such great music. Played a big part of my childhood, growing up in the hood and we all had the same taste in music.
Steele was interviewed for the book series *HOW TO RAP* and *HOW TO RAP2*, and shared his rapping techniques. Here he talks about leaning to rap.
"When I first started rapping, I would write like every artist
that I liked. I had a Treacherous [Three] rhyme, I had a Kool
G Rap rhyme, I had a [Big Daddy] Kane rhyme, I had a Chuck
D rhyme-I would try to rhyme like everybody who I liked."
