Fragile, innocent hairy eight legged creatures who did absolutely nothing wrong to have their natural environment destroyed. Truly beautiful but reality is absolutely heartbreaking.
Human greed, as usual depriving animals of their homes. I agree, it is heartbreaking. 😢
they look like the Lamborghini of the natural world. amazing colors
absolutely true, I love them!
thank you, they are such beautiful spiders, quite possibly my favorite
they are amazing :) also there fellow sister species in the genus
Fantastic video. Awesome to see them in their natural habitat! :) x
wow, what a beautiful tarantula, and good eye on your part to find their hiding spots..
quite amazing camouflage, there is a new video on the channel showing a closer look Jorge, just in case you are interested in :)
such beautiful tarantulas x
they are a class of their own
Trapdoor tarantulas are the coolest!!!! Ever!!!
they are for sure! so ancient
What was the goal? To really throw every exemplar out of its home? I cannot comprehend such an approach.
Beautiful! But why poke it so hard???
that was by accident I'm sure!
Wow this is amazing footage, I would love more info on this species and it would be awesome to see them make that trapdoor.
Thanks Nick! Check the BTS Journal for an outstanding article on this genus :)
Man you have such an awesome life to be able to travel around the world and see these species in the wild. Also, how big do these things get?
What for amazing colours!
thx for the footage of it in its habitat!!
Mike K Glad you like it! Thanks for the comment
I hope to get my own one day... absolutely gorgeous tarantula
truly wonderful creatures, I agree
Im sure exporting these is now illegal.
Yeah Brazil is throwing a fit about it now... which I don’t understand. If they cared about theses spiders they’d stop destroying their environment

Agree. Many of these spiders will probably have a brighter future in captivity than in the Brazilian rainforest unless things change. Which I doubt will happen any time soon, sadly.
Wahnsinn! Danke auch an Chris, dass er diese Aufnahmen geteilt hat.
exowlad Absolut, geniale Aufnahmen
Wow you found so many!
yeah my friend found quite a few of them luckily :-)
In terms of tarantula hobbiests, this is like money literally growing on trees.
hm I heard they are not that easy to breed (: we will see where this goes
@@birdspiders they're like 600€
@@birdspiders how did that plan turn out ?
@@johncarter9108 which plan?
you should never give them a price tag , we humans are stupid , imagine Animals are selling us for money .
Such a cutie!
Super pretty fuzzies.
Absolutely amazing

You so lucky guy..
:)
Omg this is awesome
Thb.. If i was there i would carry the complete log that laid on the ground to my home and give this the the best live it could get.
the laws in brasil say something else, but yes - they should get protected!
Wow, such a unique habit and absolutely stunning coloration to boot! A shame small slings are $500+ right now, one of the few arboreal species I'd like to own
it's a remarkable species, problably the most colorful tarantula ever
Michael Fallen so expensive because so hard to get... but they’re are endangered now... they are illegal to own.
TarantulaDan Raid, great video, flooded with emotions.
Thanks mate!
Wow!! I live in Brazil, do you know where exactly in Bahia I could find this tarantula??
of course we know where to find them! But we will never tell anyone the exact locality due to the risk of poaching of these elusive spiders. I hope you understand
yes, I understand! I totally forgot about that haha, guess I'll have to wait until I become an expert and do my own research
you can become an expert any day! just go out and explore the nature around you and start searching for them :)
Awesome!! So how many did you bring back!! Lol 😁😉😜 jk!!
@@tarantulaclan5025 He surely got some... it's sad... '' we will never tell due to the risk of poaching '' but we all know himself got some 🙄 still good that he at least don't really told where to find them.
Anyone from Brasil here knows where can i visit to see these beaut?!
Jon Ford hey mate, they are from the northeast of Brazil, state of Bahia meanly...you would be surprised how many Ts, snakes, lizards and other animals you would encounter just looking for that specific one...go there but leave them be, alright! Enjoy yourself and be good!
TarantulaDan Raid Great video Thanks For The Upload
cheers!
Do the doors always open from the bottom?
I want one SSSOOOOOOO BAD! Now I know how ppl pay so much for spiders
they come in all sizes and colours :)

How long did it take you to find all those specimens? And also, what country is that? EDIT: never mind I saw the comments
it took my friend about 7 weeks of daily search to find the first specimen. After that, it was easier but still a lot of work!
this is from Brasil. Thanks for your comment :)
Woah, what about all the others?
Where is this filmed ? Thanks I just subscribed #tarantuladan
in the field, Bahia state in Brasil :-) Thanks for the comment!
😍😍😍
What a beautiful tarantula. Amazing the trapdoor hides. Thanks for sharing.
Meg Havi Thanks for your comment! Happy you like the footage
utterly amazing camouflage. either your a veritable dr Doolittle of spiders or they are very unaggresive
a combination of both ;)
@@birdspiders how big do these T's get? Its a shame such an utterly unique creature is endangered. I don't think I've ever heard of a hunting method like this
Is this all just brazil? I find it hard to believe that these creatures aren't living in other south american countries in the wild as well.
eine Frage, hast du welche gefangen?falls ja sind sie geschützt, und kann man sie in Deutschland als Wildfang verkaufen?
It would be great if a conservation effort can be made among the tarantula breeders who have these. Even if it was breed them, sell a quarter and release the captive breds back into their original habitats. That would help raise the supply without going into the wild to steal them, and then a continual supply would be sent back home so they have a better chance.
that's a noble thought Alex, but that's not how conservation actually work - it's impossible to release captive stock back into the wild if they've not been raised within a closed laboratory from researchers where everything follows a certain health protocol. It is done by Mexican researchers and their local breeding program for tarantulas - so there is hope that one day local brazilian researchers can do the same for their spiders.
@@birdspiders ah that makes sense. I really hope they do, Brazil has such amazing species.
I hope you travel here in the Philippines 😁
I hope so too! Some very nice species there!
Amazing T.
beautiful genus, there are other nice species aswell :-)
Hello fellow Tennessean Tarantula enthusiast :)
Help i have 2 of these beautiful tarantulas. Do you keep it more wet or dry? I use eco earth and i feel it absorbs the water and its gone :(
Palp friction has a care sheet on their website. You could also reach out to Amy Salinas from the tarantula community group on FB. She knows all about these little lovelies. 😊
Isn't that destroying their habitat as well?
what do you mean? yes - the tree cutting and logging is destroying their habitat for sure, habitat loss is a huge problem not only for tarantulas
one of the saddest videos i have ever seen.
Why?
@@ktbalcom5425 Their habitat is being destroyed
Hello BirdspidersCH I am acquiring a T seledonia sling in a few short weeks. I have been doing research and would like to know more about where in Bahia they are found. From what I’ve read Bahia Brazil contains several kinds of terrains. I understand if you can’t reveal the exact locations to these endangered animals. were they found in dryer forest. Does it rain often in Bahia where they are from? I’d also love to know the names to those Trees they live in.
Thanks for your comment Kelly! Actually my friend Chris did all the fieldwork regarding this species, and he and I published an article in the latest BTS Journal about this species, which covers all of your question in all detail. You should get this journal, it's your best bet and contains the most up to date information regarding this species.

Thank you I will buy it in a week or two I need to recover from the expensive purchase! Good luck I watch all your videos I wish I could take the journeys you take. Until then I’ll watch your videos and keep acquiring beautiful species.
better get it before hand, otherwise it would a huge loss, moneywise and animal wise of course :-) Thanks a lot!
Hey man im not an expert or anything but im from brazil i can confirm that these type of trees are from "Cerrado" vegetation, maybe Chapada Diamantina region
Thank you brother that’s good to know!
Thats very expensive in Philippines worth of 50.000 peso.
What country is this because I need to go there
What country was this?
They are beautiful, too bad they are losing their homes
sad truth
Liebe diese spinne blos sehr teuer
Ugh I need one of these little babies in my life 😭 damnit Brazil, stop this rediculousness. We're trying to save them!
Can u send me one
Hadi M nope
Unfortunately this guy found thousands of dollars worth of spiders precisely the reason for people poaching them
