The 2022 Lexus NX 350 F-Sport Is A Solidly Mid-Pack Turbocharged Luxury SUV

The second best-selling Lexus in America gets a complete redesign for 2022. The volume selling #LexusNX becomes to #LexusNX350 this year courtesy of a new 2.4L turbo 4-cylinder making 275 HP. The #NX350FSport takes things up a notch with better handling and a sportier design. It’s a huge upgrade, but not quite the class leader we were hoping it could be.

Happy Friday guys! We first want to thank Keeps for sponsoring this video, be sure to go to keeps.com/redline to get 50% off your first order! As good as the new Lexus NX is... and it is a HUGE improvement over the previous generation. The turbo engine is a big upgrade, but the lack of space on the inside and just a lack of an overall "wow" factor, keeps us from fully recommending the new NX over competitors like the Genesis GV70 or Acura RDX. The German offerings are also still great options and we think Lexus has caught up to those, especially with the electrified powertrains. The NX is still a good option, but its just a solidly mid-pack option, but hey that is exactly what some buyers are looking for :)

Sofyan. It’s brand new and only mid pack means it’s disaster for Lexus
I told you the gv70 and Rdx have objectively obliterated the nx before anyones even driven it. The fact that it’s not even class competitive even compared to the cx5 or tuscon or venza or Santa Fe or Sportage it shows that the nx is really really lackluster😂
Imo my Camry v6 XSE is so much better than this in just about every way

It annoys me that Sofyan always throws the GV70 and GV80 in these reviews as a “step-up” in the category. Having owned a GV80 Prestige for over a year…. they have a lot of bugs to work out. The tech is glitchy, the hvac system was glitchy, the nav was glitchy and worst of all…. the V6 TT was not that great in temps below -25 celsius. On top of that…. overall brand experience sucked! I would not put Genesis in the same category at all. They look great inside and out but that’s where it stops.

Have the 22 nx350f. Have had it for two weeks. My one gripe is it’s super slow. Slower than I thought it would be, and so far does not seem to get good gas mileage. So I don’t really feel like driving in sport+ and getting even worse gas mileage. Other than the pickup and overall sluggishness, it’s a beautiful car. No other complaints.

Lexus loses it value just like any other luxury vehicle. So I wouldn't believe the wive's tale about Lexus holding their value. Residual values are set by the banks and the food chain of auction and dealerships just play along to make as much money as they can out the consumers.

The sad part is I feel Lexus wants the NX 350h as their volume seller, likely to cater to the demand of greater MPG in this day and age, but it terms of powertrain refinement and power the NX 350 with this 2.4L Turbo is the superior choice over the somewhat buzzy 2.5L Hybrid setup of the former. The 350 also gets a permanent AWD system with a default 75:25 torque split whereas the hybrid usually just powers the front axles for greater MPG.
