Hi Joanne, l suggest not to let Max sleep on your bed anymore. If Max have his own dog bed, just place it near to the master bedroom toilet so he can easily access to the toilet. It could be your bed is too high and Max is quite a senior so is inconvenient for him to jump up and down to go the toilet. Not good for his legs too. You can also try using a pee tray with pee pad. If still don't work, then maybe you might want to consider getting him a small playpen. Put his dog bed, pee tray with pee pad for him during bed time. If not, get a bedside staircase for him to go up and down the bed. Hope it helps.
