So i tested Ttar in ranked yesterday and he kinda feels like Garchomp in the sense that u need 9 really really bad on him but vs good players he feels a bit worse than Garchomp. I could be a bit bias tho as i have millions of games on Garchomp and know him very well so imma try and play Tyranitar more !
He will feel worse than garchomp of u run sand tomb + stone edge everytime.. run ancient power and dark pulse and feel the power of a god...🙇 U can easily 1v3 with ancient power lol
TTar is actually good in team fights though and considering objectives that's all that matters. Tyranitar has the better unite, shields and dps on multiple targets at the same time
Use the good build, and it will feel good.
i dont have ttar yet but the thing that seems super strong to me is the defense from passive
I actually figured out the build for ty and I managed to pull off 140k going against try hards. Serena Machamp and Lucario Delphox and Chansey the people on my team were all non-ranked. I'm the only master and it was a hard first 5 minutes cuz they just kept killing me over and over again when I was trying to build stacks but once I reached level nine it was over
ttar has been my absolute fav character to play so far and the fact theyre one of my fav mons in general helps that, but i do agree against people who know what theyre doing you Have to be more crafty with the way you get into fights because people can just run away. ttar is strong in the numbers department but i really dont think is the most broken thing to ever exist like its being made out to be (also sand tomb is really fun to use)
Stone edge is pretty bad… but I do think sand tomb has some uses. Especially on the new map with more walls, jumping over them might be better in a lot of scenarios.

Am I the only one who wished stone edge stuns? Seems like the sand tomb build is good at controlling a massive area compared to ancient power.
Use sand tomb first and mix in normal attacks with the 2x and 3x and when they try to run use the part 2 for the sand tomb to keep them there and pull them back in place. It kind turn into a game on Simon says while fighting and the pattern is difficult but it’s free when you have a build you like and have them both at +
Tried all kinds of builds but this is the best one for me kept going strong in the beginning but had a huge loss streak after awhile but with this build has helped me alot thank you man
This was literally the first build I tried on Ttar, it’s so much fun. Still think it works better with Ancient Power and Dark Pulse but that’s me

Nah, Sand Tomb is better on Tyranitar.
I will say this, half of his complaints with ttar are fixed by ancient power, cant really kite something faster than you with cc lol

Ancient Power has a pretty long cooldown. So yeah, they still can run away from you quite easily. Sand Tomb is better for the AOE slow and pull.
@@ze-prestooo while it does have a longer cooldown, Sand tomb I feel is easier to escape. One full heal will ruin your day, not to mention blissy with safeguard or any of the pokemon with CC immunity passive built in. You just get more out of being able to run people down.

Hi- on my ttar I’ve been running muscle band float stone and leftovers- basically the opposite of what phils been running- goin for more of a fast offensive ttar and it works pretty well
Just played a game with it and dropped 350 by myself

Ancient/pulse better combo then sand/edge. Inmy opinion

My held items for him are the same as yours, but I went with 5 blue, 4 brown, and 4 purple. It works out well with his passive 65% more def/sp def when using a move. If you use the rock move (3 charges) you can keep that passive up indefinitely.
Sand tomb is actually the better build now because it‘s even more teamfight heavy and teamfights are the only situations where the enemies kinda need to stay at that spot. Ancient power actually needs a buff because you have 0 means of catching up to anybody, if you attack, if you just run you‘ll catch them no problem.

I think I am one of the few that like you prefers stone edge sand tomb. Only diff IMHO if you go stone edge you NEED razor claw, getting 3 rocks is amazing for the damage and with how easy it is to kite ttar any slow he can bring is always useful.
Ya I agree about ttar not being very op. I would even say that besides ancient power his other moves need buffs.
I’ve been running score shield, att weight, and cookie since d1 and I woul definitely recommend it. Especially if you can’t jungle
It's definitely frustrating I don't even play as terrain it's hard that often and he's literally my second favorite Pokemon in the Pokemon universe
I feel like that he would be very powerful if you received some sort of buff to one of his three weaknesses because as of currently he kind of feels a little useless like I get that he's really really overpowered in a melee fight and I like that about him but he's got little to nothing and range he's easy to stand and freeze and give just about any negative effect to and of course everybody always runs away or gangs up on you all at once while your team runs off and does something else because they think you're invincible and can handle it
So honestly if they could give him enough range so he's not useless whenever the enemy runs away from him make him faster or alternatively give him the ability of negative effect resistance or some ability to heal himself better than regular then I think you would be a much better Pokemon
That's just what I would do considering how this particular game plays and I can understand the reasons why someone might not do that because then tyranitar would be completely overpowered like how everybody seems to say that he is
It does seem like until lvl9 it can get pretty tough. But even though he's really good he's not op if you play smart u can melt him from range .
I like using ancient power to chase that way they can't run away as often but gotta be careful so you don't go in too deep.

It is op he is just using the clearly worse moves.
I use focus energy amp and i forgot the last item, maybe muscle? I also use potion and this built and i dealt 192k damage. While i use other build it is only 70-80k. Because somehow i feel so easy to die (?). But maybe thats also because my enemy are 3 tanks 1 dps 1 speedster (mr mime,blissey,mamo,cinderace,absol). And i got blissey who keep me alive. I hate enemy teams that use too much tanks.
With AP you don't get kited near as often and x speed helps a lot. Just have to be aware.
Unites for a burst, when you're being ganked ttaur can easily 1v3 with ult and AP shield stun into pulse with true DMG

Why is he always playing stone edge/sand tomb? To try to avoid a tyranitar nerf? Ancient Power is hands down the strongest ability in the game right now. Shield, cracked up movement speed, 65% sp def and def boost(from passive as you use a move), true damage, cc resistance, aoe stun and damage. Why wouldnt you use this.
Ttar single handledly made me wish that competitive bans should have happened 6 months ago. Ancient power needs a big wrecking ball nerf.

T T is broken almost like Dive Cram or full crit Glac, he can do both very well be a glass cannon or a Super tank.
Hey don’t say that dive cram isn’t broken. It’s just skill. The cool-down reset dive cram build is actually not as good as u think. Tank build (focus band buddy barrier and choice) (take cd reduction and special attack emblems) is much better in my opinion.

Tbh I feel high crit rate without scope lense is quite unfortunate. Scope lense increases ur crit rate dps by 12%. So the crit rate isn’t fully utilised. But u can’t drop focus :(
Tyrannitar doesn't need the extra damage from crit. Having some chance of critting is more than enough
@@Acemancello i run mostly crit ttar (scope) with crit emblems and it’s so fun, i mean honestly kiting hasn’t been an issue because by the time people run they get crit to death. Really nasty and against another ttar it’s who has the better crit in a 1v1
On top of that, I believe dark pulse crits too, the crits are so nasty if you time it correctly

T-tar are 7/10. dude, you literally using the worst build of him. the fact that Ancient power gives you hindrance immunity and free true dmg when hit the enemy are just better, comboed with dark pulse it deals big burst AOE dmg and its not make you stand still like that sh*tty edge
I feel like the devs hit all the wrong notes with this mon. True damage is dumb, it removes all thinking from your plays. Plus ancient power giving speed and shields, and a unite that causes loads of AOE damage with no targeting. It all makes for a mon that's just button mashing with zero thought given, easier to play than even picachu, despite being insanely powerful.
I'm assuming you haven't played him then.
Pikachu is so much easier to play than this.
@@ze-prestooo Have been playing it since release. The ancient power build is just button smashing with no aiming, no individual player targeting, and no regards for positioning. Even the enemy flux zones are viable to run into with ancient power. Definitely as ease as Picachu, if not more.

No regards for positioning? It's easy to kite. You definitely need to position yourself well.
Pikachu only requires you to mash buttons. No thinking needed. All of his attacks are sure-hit. You need to at least aim with Dark Pulse, especially with Stone Edge.
A friend of mine does well with Pikachu. But he sucks at Tyranitar. That should tell you much how wrong you are.
@@ze-prestooo That's exactly what I'm saying. Pica's Electro ball + Volk tackle, as well as Tyranitar's Ancient Power + Dark pulse builds are very effective and require almost no effort. Both of their unites also require zero effort. Yes, these mons have each a second build that requires more skill to play. And easy-mode Tyranitar requires lvl 9, so yeah. I concede, it requires more skill than pica during the early laning. Still, Ancient power does too much. It needs to loose the shields, or the hindrance resistance, or the speed boost, or the stun. It's one ability trying to do everything.

@@Mc_DeusAuri no it needs a way bigger nerf. Ancient power is insane. It ignores speed flux and all hinderance for 10 seconds. While giving the user the speed of the unite move. It needs a speed and duration nerf. Also a passive nerf. It’s tankier than all the defenders than slow bro which shouldn’t be a thing. Also stone edge is great. Not only can it be used 3 times before it goes on cooldown, even if you miss. (for some reason) it’s capable of doing 3205 crit damage. Seen in the max danage ttar build video. And does good base damage for a move that’s so hard to dodge.
