Little over a year ago I od’d on opiates, addicted really bad. Almost died. By God’s grace and help, I am free of that addiction, this song makes me tear up. I was a walking dead man for years, but God chose to save me and called me out, raised me to life through Jeshua. Thank you wolves at the gate for your music.

Almost a decade later and I'm still returning to this song and video. Gets me every time. What a powerful message and testimony. Amazing Grace that saved us.

I remembered showing this video 10 years ago with my religious family, they didn't like it at all and told me it's just a phase. Well, I'm still here, and will be, I'm so happy to have a Christian band like them.

I haven't had the best found reason to have faith in god but man songs like this really get you thinking bout it.
Colin One of my heroes and favourite authors, Flannery O'Connor, was a woman of great faith. However, she struggled with doubt sometimes, too. She said:
“I think there is no suffering greater than what is caused by the doubts of those who want to believe. I know what torment this is, but I can only see it, in myself anyway, as the process by which faith is deepened. A faith that just accepts is a child's faith and all right for children, but eventually you have to grow religiously as every other way, though some never do.
What people don't realize is how much religion costs. They think faith is a big electric blanket, when of course it is the cross. It is much harder to believe than not to believe. If you feel you can't believe, you must at least do this: keep an open mind. Keep it open toward faith, keep wanting it, keep asking for it, and leave the rest to God."

This video. I hear people say all the time that "No one knows what I've done. No one, not even God, could forgive me." This song is amazing in that it exemplifies God's grace, mercy, and ultimate forgiveness. EVERYONE, no matter what they've done, can accept God's forgiveness and salvation! God will LITERALLY, and I know what "literally means," forgive anyone's sin. That is the INCREDIBLE thing about Christianity!

How does this band not have millions of veiws/followers . such an amazing band that has helped me with my walk with Christ
His love is beyond human comprehension. Only God could possibly give such GRACE to sinful wicked souls like ours. I praise Him everyday for the Grace I've been given, try my best to stand aside and let Him work in my life, and try to love as He does. No it's not easy, no I will not live up to Him, but I know that these struggles are merely in this mortal plain.
I believe Jesus still speaks in parables and this video makes it obvious to me. The video portrays a man being assaulted and killed. But we are all dead men and women until we repent of our sin receive the grace that God has given us.

I met wolves at the gate a few nights ago. Freaking awesome show! They signed the new album I purchased and my friends and I just sat there with them after the show and just hung out with them. All of them were really kind to their fans. Wolves rule!

You guys rock man! I admire the fact you guys try to pour as much of the Gospel as you can not only in lyrics, but even between songs on stage! Sadly, most professing "Christian bands" say foolish things like they "don't wanna shove it down kids throats." They fail at fulfilling Mark 16:15, to preach the Gospel to all the world.

I understand what you're saying, but I also understand not shoving it down people's throats. Being subtle gets people to think more about what the song is about, which definitely is more likely to get them to consider accepting something after they've pondered on it so much.
These guys are good, but there are multiple way to getting to people, meaning that we should knock down another method.

People live their whole lives in offence to God and the Gospel. If the truth offends them, let it offend them.
Im certain if you seen someone about to get hit by a car, you'd do all you can to warn them, and not talk "softly" to avoid being offensive.
People are living with God's wrath abiding on them. People are dying and going to Hell every day. It has nothing to do with "shoving anything down their throats." It has everything to do with souls going to Hell each day. 150,000 people dying each day.
Christians would be selfish NOT to do all they can to faithfully preach the Gospel to a lost world.

+Timothy Romans Sadly, most professing "Christian" bands, often try to fit in, they're ashamed of the Gospel, they preach a false "acceptance" gospel, rather than lovingly warn people of the reality of their sin, and the weight of it.
I'm a believer in god, but I don't like when ppl talk religion around me, some people can believe and not be invested in it everyday, there is a thing called logic and being down to earth. I love to believe in my own way without somebody telling me how too.

You guys have a way with words and visuals. When I first heard the band name 'Wolves At The Gate' I nearly dismissed it as "oh, another heavy metal band with 'wolves' in their name...-i'll listen to them later..." -then, I heard you guys on RadioU, and was floored. I wish more bands knew how to write like you guys...and also how to put together music videos that mean something about the song, are understandable, and impeccably produced to boot? I'm not trying to flatter anyone: not too many bands that share the same Faith have that dedication to their job as artists.

Totally amazing work! I have never thought I would like sooo much this style of music (before Christ I was listening to some hard music too but it was making me even more depressed and angry). Your songs have powerful messages and the most important- I really feel you are inspired by God and what you do is for His glory!

I was looking at new bands to listen to and i found this on google. Yes google. It was the most interesting to me so my first song i listened to was this one. I was gosh darn surprised in how good it is. I wasnt expecting much but i got a slap in the face and realize i really like it.
