I loved the young afro Kobe. He was so innocent and you could tell he loved the game. This was before he got full of himself and started the petty nonsense with Shaq. That's why I think their first ring was the best cuz it was before all the shit started.
Kobe was booed during the all star game in his home town though. he did get MVP that game if my memory serves me correct. how is it that a star like kobe gets booed in his hometown during the all star game? I dont like Kobe all that much but daym, even i thought that was cold.

@nealogz They didn't miss the playoffs. They lost in the conference finals to Utah. That was year Kobe chucked up those air balls to lose the game. He got criticized for that but the truth is he was the only one on the team that had teh balls to shoot those shots. It was valuable learning experience tho.
