Deep down everyone and I mean everyone knows this was an honest mistake, anybody who been watching you since you were comically correct comics knows you always did something special for lucky folks who follow you and that still can be anybody, idk why haters are mad because your boxes are just going to get better until there's nothing to hate on
I'm sorry the reactions have been so personal. From everything I've seen your experience with the NDA matches others. Heck, I asked a store today that had no idea about who you were or your situation if they had to sign an NDA before they did their first Marvel exclusive and they confirmed they had to sign one as well. They also said they never checked to see if the artwork being offered was original or not, they just assumed it was. Should people do that? Sure! But it's a lot of people acting like they would have acted perfectly with the power of hindsight and playing armchair QB. I spoke about the details of the situation because the community needs to address their thoughts on the topic to prevent this kind of stuff from happening again, but it shouldn't become personal when there isn't any evidence of someone intentionally setting out with wrong-doing in mind. I'm sure you've done plenty of reflecting on how to make sure this doesn't happen again and that's all anyone can really ask. Keep your head up man, glad you're staying positive!
Well said BronzeAgeNerd. We can chase discussion bout this issues with personal attacks and slander. Bryan has always been more than transparent with the community and his buyers. If anything Marvel and Dellotto should be getting all the heat Bryan is receivjnt
People so quick to judge you and assume you knew the art was used before because of past shenanigans by other retailers. You've always been a stand up guy in the community from what I've seen and more transparent than others. Continue doing what you're doing. I love my Dell' Otto variant.
I still loved my 2 boxes, I think your openness about the situation was the best you could do and I appreciate the openness. I will still be buying comics from you because you have been one of the best places to buy comics online for me. Thank you for the positivity, it is what I am trying to focus on as well.
You didn't do anything wrong and have nothing to apologize for. Peter is right..haters gonna hate. I don't know why, but the anonimity of the internet seems to embolden people to be nasty for no other reason than to be nasty. You have a successful business and a successful channel. I've gotten a couple of great books from your website. I think your reputation as a decent guy speaks for itself. Take comfort in that.
There is a big community feeling we have here in the comic community. You're exactly right ...people are SO quick to turn on each other though. You put it perfectly with "cannibalistic". Keep your head up Bry. I love all of your content. Dell'Otto's work is and always will be incredible. I am sure a lot of the people hating didn't get (and really want) one of your ASM 26 Slabs. Because people can hide behind a computer screen without their real name, they become vicious and it's really sad. It should be like this: when I lose an auction, I always convince myself that someone else got a good deal and it's okay. People suck for the most part. Social media reveals the worst in not just this community, but society at large. I only use social media for my hobbies and to keep up with family.
From a logical person...understanding the manufactured scarcity and rarity with the build up on these mystery boxes. How do you address the fact the rare comic exclusive and comparing it to the ASM 667 is reused art from a previous cover. You marketed as an exclusive. How do you address an exclusive that is not an exclusive to those who bought into boxes.
the people spreading bad rumors is only to tear you down. They have no actual insight on how the cover was re-used. Keep your head up and keep it rolling!
I did an exclusive cover for DC a few years back (mine was Suicide Squad 1, but it was back when Artgerm first made a splash with his HQ #1 exclusive.) It ain't cheap, and it's even more expensive when you send books to get graded. As a dealer, you have very little control over the process, so I feel for ya! I agree 100% with you about positivity. There's currently a cultural trend of self indulgence, negativity, jealousy and victimhood. The people that are causing drama are also attracting drama into their lives. I totally believe in what you put out in the world comes back to you tenfold. There's a reason for the saying "misery loves company." Just ignore the haters, respond with kindness, and move forward.
Ive bought two slabs from you. Great packing and fair prices. I dont know you on a personal level but you seem like an honest guy. So dont let it get you down. People in general suck and like to talk crap. Keep doing what your doing keep your head up.
Stay out of the drama and stick with those that matter and have your back! The way of the world today is toxic for the most part. I see it in all groups I’m in and not just comics. I think you have been sold since day one and the only person online I have dealt with and I respect your hustle!!! Keep pushing man!!!!
I watch your channel , and am not sure what this is about , but man , I am sure that whatever actaully happened was something that given a moment of reflection and understanding would help all involved. I am a seller and a collector , my partner loves your channel and we enjoy it. We started our own Pop Culture Channel , and you seem like a super positive force in the hobby. Keep doing you! Your channel is why we started a channel to help people make better buys and choices in the industry. Thank you for what you do!
I haven't seen any backlash about this issue nor do I care. It is what it is. I got a mystery box with an ASM #26 in a 9.9 and sold it for $525. I will 100% buy one of the next mystery boxes.
70 year old lover of comics here Bryan. As someone who has seen a lot, I can say with confidence, that you were raised right. Stay positive and thanks for teaching this old fart something new every time i watch ❤❤❤
I am unsure why there is so much drama over this matter, I think Bry is very transparent with everything, the dude even makes videos showing the whole process and I see nothing wrong
I am so sorry that this has happened to you. You seem to truly want to do right by the hobby. This experience but you in the ass, but as you said you take it and learn from it and strive to do better next time. That is all people can really ask for. Keep on Bry.
You give the word and me and my kin will come descending from the mtns of Eastern TN on our turnip trucks w shotguns and deer rifles to defend your comics out Californey way! Stay up my guy!
The art of not giving a f. A powerful lesson of being a business owner. Social media is filled with hate. If you made a mistake- own it. If you didn’t- own it. At the end of the day, just walk away from it and move on to more great content and your next box. Don’t feed the fire
Great follow up video Bryan! Glad you are doing well and taking the high road! A person's character is rarely tested like yours has been having to go through this, yet you have handled it and shown what you are all about with class and humility. Keep doing your thing man!
The problem with being in the public eye is that you have to deal with the public (about 50 percent of which are miserable ass hats). I bought one of your mystery boxes, and I received one of the "loser" boxes. If loser means receiving a 9.8 Dell'Otto cover plus another 9.8 exclusive, then I'll happily be a loser every day of the week. Twice on Sunday. You did nothing wrong. Keep doing what you're doing.
Don't listen to all these weenies with nothing better to do, you started a business, took a risk, did a cool thing, and you are one of four comic book channels that I actually enjoy. Carry on!
Can we just acknowledge how this man is out in front with communication and a level of accountability. I had no idea retailer variants were handled the way they are. I believe that I'm going out on the heartiest limb on the tree and say that Marvel Publishing took advantage of Bry. And has Marvel Publishing said anything publicly?! I feel that they are the ones that should be out in front. Whether it's an in house variant or a retailer variant, that variant is either aimed at the established collector or a casual reader that the publisher is trying to pull deeper into the game. In the end, variant collecting serves the publishers the most. If they respected the community, they should say something. Maybe it's just me.
The important thing is that we love comics and Bry's Comics specifically. I personally skip the comments and only stick with my "friends" who I can talk to and have a healthy discussion. I love this video. Thanks Bry !!
Bry stay positive my friend and don’t let these click chasers like Skicky Goose get to you!!! Guys like that look for success by praying on others downfall. You have always been transparent with your buyers and the community. I have buy stuff for you on your website (and on whatnot), and sold you a part of my collection. And I will do business with you again in a heartbeat!! Keep pushing Bry!!
Situations like this are why I dislike social media so much at times and why I rarely comment on videos. But I had to give you kudos for taking the high road and handling the whole thing in the perfect way. I truly appreciate your content, all you’ve done for the community, and helping stoke my renewed interest in my collecting!
I've watched your videos since before you started being a dealer and have got a good idea of your character from then until now. Shit happens beyond your control and you dealt with it like a champ, head on. You've always been straight up and honest which is why I like you. I don't even know what other people are saying, saw someone post the ebay sales on instagram and have a whinge about their exclusives not jumping in value and thats it. Water off a ducks back mate, I think you've kept your integrity from the way you handled this unforseen "issue". I dont even see it as an issue, it is what it is.
There is a weird, yet chronic need among nerd culture aficionados to be the smartest person in the room, while simultaneously having the hottest, edgiest take. If people can't take off their tin foil hats for two seconds to realize that an honest mistake happened, then that's a "them problem", as much as they try to make it your problem, Bry. Chin up! This too shall pass!
Although I love superhero stories, I’m a total novice at buying and grading comics. I’ve reached out to Bry a couple of times and he’s been kind enough to respond and share his expertise. Great channel, top guy, all the best from Newcastle (UK).
I am impartial and i think there are valid points on both sides. He seems like a stand up guy and is just trying to grow his brand. I think the bigger gripes are about the whole slabbing and (artificial?) inflation of limited print run books in general and Bry has somehow became the poster boy somehow.
Hey Bry! I have been watching you since day one. You have been nothing but open & honest. Your reputation speaks for it's self. Stuff happens. Your content is and has been nothing but positive for the community. You are an asset to all of your viewers.
You have been the most honest and genuine person that I have come across in the collecting space. I love your business model and how it provides great value back to the community as well. I get excited to see your inventory every time your e-mail hits. I bought one of your mystery box and even though I didn't get anything to be considered more rare or special, I am very satisfied. The book is in a frame on my office wall. I own a Hulk 181 because of you and your willingness to put in the effort on trades! The only thing that this has done has shown me who I shouldn't be spending my time with on youtube, who not to give my business to, and that I am excited to give you my business for years to come. Thank you for who you are and what you do!
Hey bro! I just started listening to your videos. You seem like an honest and caring person that wouldn't take advantage and chance tarnishing your reputation. If people can't see that you weren't responsible for the miscommunication... which is what it was, then they need to.really listen to what you are saying. M really impressed on how you are handling this. Please count me in for your next promotion... cheers!
Funny how when some people just want a conversation about what happened and it's turned around into a negative to want to actually talk about it. Funny how that works. People should only buy store variants because they want to collect the art but if you're banking on it being worth money, you're buying in for the wrong reason. A shame the art was used beforehand but all you can do is learn from your mistakes.
I thought a lot about that cover, man, that cover is fire, regardless if it was used before in the past. Also, I think you did a great job explaining your side of what happened in the last video. We all have to remember that there are people out there who need content and also have nothing to do all day except for be involved in drama. Your good, we love you.
Anyone that has watched your videos knows that you're the most honest and transparent guy here in the comic community. All of us that watch you consistently know that you were unaware that the art had been used before. Even knowing this now I still would have bought my box, absolutely no regrets. Love what I came away with.
@bry’s comics, don’t let people get to you. You know who you are and what you stand for and that’s what matters. Social media has given everyone a platform to speak their minds knowing that there will be no repercussions. No one would say these things to your face. See them for what they are and continue to thrive in what you do best. Honestly, I’ve never considered selling my comic book collection until I started watching your channel. Your transparency makes the process less stressful for any collector. I will try to figure out a way to price things out and send you my information to see if you’re interested. Best of luck. Sending positive vibes all the way from TX.
Bry, keep your head up bro. I have to say I have been watching your channel for a few years now and you are my #1 go to channel for comic book content. Of course your very insightful and do your research on market trends and price fluctuations and I find that all very useful. However, the main reason your channel has been a favorite is due to the positive energy you inject into the community when it would be so much easier to go negative and there are so many others going down the negative route already. As to those youtubers that have been attacking your character my belief is that they are simply doing it to get attention for themselves and get more views and impressions from their channels. And in some cases I am sure plain old jealousy is also a driving factor. What some of these guys tend to forget is that your running a business and that is how you support yourself and your family now and it is not simply a hobby is it is for them. I am pretty sure these individuals have never had the courage to put themselves out there to either run their own business or to even take on some type of leadership role in their respective industries where they were actually not only accountable for their own actions but the actions of others or even for large budgets. These guys are small and they will remain small because they have nothing that is actually useful to offer the community and they know it.
Lol. This situation is BARELY drama. It’s an honest mistake at best, which was appropriately followed up by Bry being 100% transparent and professional. Remember ‘Acetate Gate’, which was shortly followed up with a bizarre series of events including Clayton Crain sleeping with his business partner’s wife and the business partner video posting an emotional breakdown mentioning guns and such??? That was legitimately drama. I wish more of the hobbies’ “pros”were even just a tiny once of Professional as Bry. Bry is one of the best out there right now.
Really sorry for what you are experiencing from the community right now. I hate to say that this really isn't that unusual. Over the last 50 years I have left fandom several times over the pettiness that I have seen from fellow collectors and dealers. I have lost friendships, long term relationships and my love of collecting more than once. People tend to forget these are just comics and in the long term they really aren't that important especially when compared to how you treat other people. Good luck and this will pass, you are one of the good ones.
I have been following your channel for a long time, but never said anything before, but for me you stay fine bro. What happened to you is a worst case scenario for a publisher, but we can learn from this; when we deal with art online we need to do a google image search, and check the meta data as well, to make sure that everything is ok with the image before we publish it. When you have a relationship with an artist it can be an emotional creative experience, but we still need to do our due diligence on the business side to protect ourselves. Kind wishes from Australia. J
refreshing as always. Look, if anyone out there wants drama there are plenty of other youtubers who actually deserve the slander. Bry is a good man. Pick your fires and pick your youtubers!!!
You’ve always been an honest and candid person. Sometimes we get a little dirt on us when we try to build something great. No worries just do your thing!
My guy, I’m still in awe that you sold me all three CGC 9.8 Spawn 1:250 variants (King Spawn, Gunslinger Spawn and Scorched) all signed by the Todd Father for what was easy $800-1k less than the going rate. You gave me a good deal on that Alien #1 Finch variant too. I wish you all the best and I hope that things trend positively for you going forward. 🤜🏾🤛🏻🙂
Thanks for your efforts to make the comic-community a fun place. The willingness to work with your customer/subscribers is phenomenal. “I Buy From Bry.” That is my motto. Keep grinding bro!✌️
There's so much negativity on social media; it can honestly weigh you down if you let it. Your positive messaging is very much appreciated. If I wasn't already a solid supporter of Bry's Comics, I'm sure the f' now. Keep being you, man!
Bry… you’re a source of inspiration and insight. Keep doing you. Your mystery boxes are the best I’ve seen. Most don’t have the capacity for giving or receiving redemption.
Hello Bry, I believe you and I am glad you are staying positive throughout this event. Your videos are great and very informative. You keep reminding me why I love comics.
Crazy that they gave you art that was not its first time use. While I don't care for manufactured rarity, if people like the art who cares what they decide to pay for it, it is up to them. It is always clear in your videos you are fair.
It's sad how there's always a pocket of people within every community that loves to gain attention through dragging others down. You're an outstanding credit to the community and deserve better. An oversight occurred that was completely out of your control and it's unfortunate that others put that on you. You be you and don't ever change Bry! 😍
Bro don’t sweat it Bry comes with the territory but you know the truth and that’s all that’s matters and those that know you bro ain’t gonna even flinch on this chit bro. You still got my support and friendship brother
I'm pretty new to you and your channel, but from what I've seen you're a stand-up dude. You got ahead of this mess as best you could and I truly believe you had no idea the art wasn't original. Keep the high ground and don't get dragged into the mud by these other channels who want your viewers as a stepping stone to get ahead. Best wishes to you!
Everyone is so quick to judge when it was a mistake, you acknowledged it and didnt know about it at first and still apologized, Keep your head up bro!! People will always judge sadly, Ignore the haters!! 😊
So...I came across one of these 'shots fired' videos that showed your head on a snake...wowza! To boot, one of my unboxing videos was featured as a screen grab example of your mystery boxes. He called us folks that purchase these 'schmucks'. I left him a comment to explain that, yeah, while there might be some disappointment with what you get in a mystery box, that's part of the process. It's a mystery! Could be less than desirable, could be good, and a small chance to be really great. Art aside, if people don't want to take a chance, then they shouldn't buy a mystery box, but that's THEIR decision. I appreciate your prices, your videos, and the time time you take to personally respond. I'm still a fan and I'm still excited about future offerings. (Now I just need my books to sell so I can buy more LOL!
Great video Bry. So good to take a positive spin on all this. I suspect you have an Econ background so will point out that markets are efficient and that the market has spoken loud and clear. The market cares not whether this book cover was previously found on an Italian publication. The bottom line is that the cover on your store’s book is appreciated by the market and is valuable. As you just pointed out, no one has lost equity from your Mystery Box. In fact, several people have massively profited. All those who got the prize books won big. All those who snagged a virgin cover won big. Everyone who got an extra graded comic won big. All else at least broke even and can enjoy their 9.8 exclusive book or flip it for cost or more on eBay. Dude, the bottom line is your Mystery Box store exclusive created so much value it is truly amazing! Your work is helping the US economy. Everyone should recognize this as a positive for everybody: well done!
I’ve never purchased anything from you but I can say from my observations over the years you are a straight up guy. I am surprised to see some of the content creators out there jumping on the hate bus. Very surprised and sad to see one that I enjoyed following say hateful things towards you with very little understanding of your situation. Please continue to be you. You are one of the best out there and I for one still support you 100%.
Bry Comics,i totally agree the Dark Knight Returns is the greatest Batman story ever told and i only sew this book going up in price next to Batman the Killing Joke which is my favorite of all my comics and i have 10 first prints of it.
Bry youre a good dude man... i watch alot of "influencers".. some would put me in that category as well, but i will say, youve always been one of the most transparent buyers and sellers on any platform.
Market manipulation? perhaps. Fair capitalism? For sure. I wouldn't buy any of these just based on unwarranted hype/exclusivity. I don't see anyone complaining that purchased one of these boxes and flipped them for a mint. Jealousy disguised as a complaint of fairness doesn't really count here because it was announced. No matter of any malfeasance, perceived or truth, it's still all economics.. Supply and demand.
Who cares, man? It wasn't on you. That was a decision by Marvel an/or Del Otto. If people blame you, they are jealous that you are doing well. It's still a dope cover regardless. You are a class act. Keep doing what you do. We support you!
Deep down everyone and I mean everyone knows this was an honest mistake, anybody who been watching you since you were comically correct comics knows you always did something special for lucky folks who follow you and that still can be anybody, idk why haters are mad because your boxes are just going to get better until there's nothing to hate on
Yeah I have to agree. It was a mistake. Pretty embarrassing one but something anyone very busy could do.

Keep your head done Bry with all those crazy bullets flying by.
Some people just need the drama, poor, pathetic souls that they are. It must suck for them to be that bored and miserable. Stay Strong, man!
This will pass. It is unfortunate that people hang on the negative aspect of this issue. No need for an apology!
People love getting the pitch forks out, even moreso when someone with a good rep has a slip up. Forget the haters
When you build your house on a solid foundation it'll stand through any storm. My man, you are bedrock in the comic community imo.
Haters are gonna hate and that’s how you know you’re popping. Thanks for that nugget of wisdom. 👍
Great video. Haters gonna hate. Shrug off and don't get involved. Not worth it. Looking forward to another mystery box
Hey, mistakes happen, we are all human and you didn't even know. I'm glad to see you moving forward.
I have little to do with modern comic speculation but I do enjoy many of your videos. Peace.
I am impartial and i think there are valid points on both sides. He seems like a stand up guy and is just trying to grow his brand. I think the bigger gripes are about the whole slabbing and (artificial?) inflation of limited print run books in general and Bry has somehow became the poster boy somehow.
Also meant to add, everyone i have seen open their mystery boxes have been super excited about what they got. It really is a beautiful book.
I didn't know Dell'Otto was so good before this cover either. Keep doing what you're doing.
Agreed, man. Anyone who's slamming you over an honest mistake is a piece of human excrement and not worth your time.
You're a good guy Bry, keep doing your thing man.
Very well said brother! Thank you for teh GREAT Positiivy and try to ignore the HATERS! and keep up the good work! Thank You
I have been following your channel for a long time, but never said anything before, but for me you stay fine bro. J
People that do nothing but try and tear other people down are only doing it to make themselves feel better about their own sad and unfulfilled lives.
refreshing as always.
We support you Bry! Just keep on doing what you do. There will always be haters. Stay true to yourself and keep up the great work!
Great video. Keep the positivity rolling. Shit happens. It doesn't mean that you have to hang out in it.
I believe you Bry, only have had great experience with you. Stay strong bud!
@preemptivepmp what part of my response is nonsense? Just curious.
I'm not mad at you Bry. And if any of those winners send that book back in disgust, I'll take it. 😂🙏😂
Man, that's a rough break with the variant. Someone did you wrong, but there's some silver around that cloud.
Hey, man. You’re always super honest and transparent. I appreciate what you do to make the hobby more positive. Keep it up!
You a real one, Bry - Hang in there bro!
It's a cool cover. Who cares if it's a swipe imo.
I'll tell you who...those that paid $5000 on the secondary market. That's who cares. But that's not Bry's fault
Love your family, work super hard, live your passion. That’s all you can do and all that matters.
I love that cover. It's AMAZING art.
Stay positive Bry, haters gonna hate. You good bro.
How can people not understand the fault lies with Marvel not you! Stay. Strong Bry!
The Frank Miller Dark Knight Returns #1 is probably my favorite cover of all the books I’ve ever had.
The same people who say they care about community are the same people that will tear other people down for clicks and views.
Truth
It was an honest error! Your handling the scenario well. The cover is still cool, I would like one
No worries Bry. It'll cool off. I'm still checking out your channel.
Great way to handle this.
You’re a good guy Bry! Crap happens. We move on. Keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t listen to the hate. Love your vids
Who cares, man? It wasn't on you. That was a decision by Marvel an/or Del Otto. If people blame you, they are jealous that you are doing well. It's still a dope cover regardless. You are a class act. Keep doing what you do. We support you!
This will pass just stick to your guns and stay true to who you are, and this will be in your rear-view mirror soon. We are with you brother.
Most regular collectors don't really follow this... prob seems amplified on here, but I know several sellers/buyers that never heard about this issue.
Thanks for the positive vibes dude. Bought a few books from you and I love them & the price I paid! Appreciate the Image details…Will check that out!
Bryce i wouldn't worry too much about it. We know the good you do for the comic community and the positivity you bring. Keep doing what you are doing!
I’ve been following you for a long time now, you are a class act. Head high, man!!
