I'm probably going to pick up all these. Your recommendations come from the practical heart! Keep doing what you are doing. Reminds me of the good work Blair Butler used to do on Fresh Ink back in the day on G4tv ❤
I'm 5 issues into Kieron Gillen's Die and it is knocking my socks off! Firstly Stephanie Hans art is stunningly beautiful, generally emphasizing two colors at a time, somber and deliciously fantastical at once. Then the world is really unique, deconstructing a lot of DnD and fantasy in general, but doing it with love and investment in it's own world and story. I'm also greatly enjoying the Gargoyles continuation and the new Conan from Titan comics.
Clicked on this randomly, great video sir. You mentioned that Jacob Philips’ art on Enfield Gang reminded you of Sean Philips, well Jacob is Sean’s son. But you probably know this by now. Again, great video! 👍
Give a try to "Beneath the Trees (Where Nobody Sees)". Kaya is sweet, I love it, same as The Sacrificers. I am interested on the Western, will try to read it. Thanks for the rest of the recommendations. Best Regards.
Oh dude, i read the first issue of Beneath the Trees and loved it. But i missed out on getting the issue. So i am patiently waiting for the Trade of it to come out. So Ill definitely be checking it out in it’s entirety when i can get the TPB. Thanks for watching!
@@GraphicNovelCollector just stumbled across your page and appreciate the Indy love. Definitely will give you a sub. Kaya and Middlewest have been added to my Hoopla list.
"Sacreficers" as well. The idea is deep, alas the human-animals... It smells Duck Tales, and therefore - children. And those are sacreficed in the book, so it may have sence in this regard. "Tooth and Claw" was big, but the storey collapsed and was interrupted abruptly to some reason. Maybe you know anything about the title?
Weird to see a list of BEST comics, where you admit to not finishing some of the books your recommending. A bad ending can ruin some good work and setup.
That’s why comics are amazing, there’s a ton of options out there. Just because I love something doesn’t mean I think everyone will. But I just want to share what I dig. 🤘
Wild Considering DWJ just won an Eisner for his artwork. Granted not for DE but it’s still just as energetic and gorgeous as his work on Transformers. Tell me you like cookie cutter art without telling me..

Hey thanks. That means a ton. I loved Fresh ink.
You highlighted books that others aren’t highlighting, easy sub, gr8 vid. Thanks for the post
I always try to. Thanks for watching! 🙏

I actually have the first trade of Die. It’s just in my massive backlog of books. 😅

Im glad you dig the video! And actually i didn’t know that 🤣 But that is awesome! Appreciate you!
@@GraphicNovelCollector check out Newburn by Chip Zdarsky and Jacob Philips, another excellent crime noir flick. The series is already done.
Kaya is good. I finished first volume. Love Wes Craig
Oh yeah Kaya is sensational. 🔥🔥

The two biggest highlights of 2024 to me are Ultimate Spider-Man by Jonathan Hickman and Fantastic Four Full Circle by Alex Ross.
Been loving Ultimate Spidey. Haven’t read Full Circle but have heard it was pretty great
Sacrificers was my favorite books of the year. It reminds me of the Insurance Companies that sacrifice kids everyday in America.
👀👀
Love DWJ!
Me toooo
Do yourself a favor and finish Deadly Class. As a Remender loyalist and Wes Craig fan. You will love it.
I actually just got the second trade!

Cruel Summer looks like something mature.

The Kid & the Fox...
Where have we met this tandem?
St. Exupery's "Little Prince" 🤴😉
Definitely has mature themes.
Never heard of that, no.

Finished Dead Earth and can confirm it’s amazing!
Constructive criticism: hold your hands steady for at least 0.1 seconds when holding up each comic book.
That’s fair. I talk with my hands. 😂
Does middlewest belong in a. Best of 2024? Didn’t that finish years ago
Not sure when it was released, but its books Ive read in 2024. 😅
The western massacre sounds awesome.😎
It was awesome highly recommend!
What is KaiJue?
Like big monsters like godzilla and such.
@@GraphicNovelCollectorgot it, thanx!
@@GraphicNovelCollector🙏👍
How is Redcoat and Rook Exodus not on this list?
I haven’t read them.
@@GraphicNovelCollector Even better than Redcoat and Rook Exodus is Nottingham. You won't be disappointed.
Bit underwhelming.

Wonder Woman Dead Earth has terrible art work so I don’t touch it.
