Seen Tyler Thompson get out of a similar pickle by dropping all of the air out his tyres. Good to get stuck every now and then to keep your recovery skills sharp. Nice spot, hairy getting stuck on an incoming tide though.
Yeah goes to show then, abit of air out can make a world of difference! And definitely is good to keep the recovery skills sharp, you never know when you'll be caught out haha. And yeah was such a nice place!!
Amazing vid guys. Everyone makes mistakes and I understand your panic with the rising tide. But hey, now you have experience with your winch, that'll be handy in the Cape. Cheers and have fun.
Good training video for my son, everything you did wrong he learnt fron, definitely lower your tyre pressures on sand dont spin your wheels so hard you ownly bury yourself and never take a car on t he beach with a overheating problem, its probably your thermostat not opening or that model always had a turbo problem. But hey ar least we got a laugh😂
Thats exactly right and glad you both got a good laugh out of it 🤣. It’s definitely more a big learning lesson! And definitely good for even us to look back on and learn for next time! And yeah it wasn't the smartest idea to go beach driving with overheating issues haha but hey we knew what we were getting into I guess 😂
Well that's exactly right! We have driven many times on many beaches with 40psi and always been fine and when bogged always let them down. Majority of times though we let the tyres down! Fraser, Moreton, Straddy, we always had tyres down ect! However, this was just a 1 night stay so it was just pure laziness, and when we got bogged, we were in more on a panic mode and just didn't think about it and straight away thought to go for the winch, which we should've 100% let the tyres down straight away which is what we normally do haha but hey it's all a lesson

Thank you so much!! And yeah indeed, best thing we can do is learn from it! And that's very true, it's all experience!!

40 psi 😳 15 psi would of been a world of difference 😂
Hahaha yeah literally 🤣 bloody rookie error 🤣
Why would you leave your tyres at 40 psi when bogged on the beach? Why do you drive on sand at 40 psi?
