yeah, it's a tricky subject. strictly speaking, the elephants are just an abstract concept of where you're putting your focus and influence. they're not literally travelling around the city moving things from place X to Y. and the devs thought they could make awesome pieces (they are awesome actually) that represents this abstract concept. but there are folks who have definitely expressed their displeasure, but even more that the elephants, for the concept of earning prestige, which isn't really consistent with sikh practices. they've said on future printings, they'll be revistiing these choices to try to be more culturally spot on.
