- It is always a challenge for medical aspirants to fill the choices of deemed universities for the online counseling. This video aims to provide them some help. We are going to look at 10 things you need to consider before selecting a deemed university for medical admission.
The most important criterion for many candidates is the cost of the MBBS course. Many candidates are keen on selecting the university based on the annual tuition fee. But, does the annual fee alone determine the total cost of the course? We will find the answer in this video.
The purpose of this video is not to be comprehensive or cover all the aspects of the deemed universities. It is to bring to your attention that when it comes to medical admission, what you see is not what you get!
So, think 10 times before selecting a deemed university!

is it true that you are not elligible for state quota for PG if you do your mbbs from a deemed college?
for eg- if i do it from mmu solan i will get 50% quota for the state of himachal for pg but if i do it from sumandeep vidyapeeth, gujarat i will not be elligible for any reservation.

Sir, if one selects deemed universities for counseling in round 1 and gets a seat but doesn't want to take it, then security deposit is refunded isn't it? Or is it refunded only if one doesn't get allotment at all?
If you have locked your seat then fees will not be refundable but if you have not locked the seat then fees will be refunded.

If you are allotted a seat in round 1, but you don't take it, your security deposit will be refunded.
Only in round 2, if you don't take an allotted seat, you will lose your security deposit.

Sir Thanks, can I select only government colleges in AIQ round 1 and if i don't get colleges of my choice in round 1, select deemed universities in Round 2 of AIQ?
You can do that. But, your chances are better in round 1 for deemed universities. In round 2, you may not get a good college.

Yes, there are non-Christian sponsored candidates studying in CMC Vellore. If you are sponsored and a have good NEET score among the candidates sponsored by the same organization, you will get the seat.

Sir like u told other than annual tuition fees there are some other expenses also which the colleges ask for eg.development fees . So other expenses we will get to know by seeing the colleges main site because on mcc. NIC only Turion fees available
Yes, you have to check on their web site. Some colleges provide additional information on their web site. Sometimes, it is just revealed on the day of admission.
Sir how's the future of student after passing through deemed University?
Future depends on how you study and learn during the course. A good college makes the career journey faster and easier. But, if you do well, even private colleges or deemed universities also can take you to greater heights. In fact, there are some outstanding private colleges and deemed universities in India

Order of priority is always based on your colleges of interest, not based on cutoff marks.

Since I have very less chance of getting in Ramachandra, will I be able to get in the college which I have chosen as a second choice? Or will I lose the choice of getting the second choice?
@@tejmom2002 if you don't get ramachandra for your marks, but vacancies are available in your second choice, you will be allotted the 2nd choice. You will not lose the chance.

@@harsh_agarwal1312 Not really. Based on 2019 fee structure, the annual fee structure declared by Hamdard, PIMS Loni and Siddhartha T. Begur were cheaper.
Based on 2020 fee structure (not all colleges have updated so far), the fee structure of KMC Manipal, KMC Mangalore, KS Hegde and PIMS Loni are all around the same fee structure, between 14.3 lacs to 14.5 lacs per year. We have to wait for updates from other colleges though.
Hamdard Delhi, siddartha begur, pims Loni having low fee structure then Manipal

Sir whether there is any additional fee except admission fee which is 22 lakhs per annum in Sri Ramachandra Medical college, Chennai?????
At the time of admission, you will be paying about 22.6 lacs (includes 50,000 caution deposit). If hostel facility is availed, you have to pay an additional 2.5 lacs (includes 50,000 caution deposit for the hostel).

- If you don't get seat allotment, you will get back the 2 lac rupees.
- If you get a seat in round 1, but don't take admission, you will still get back 2 lac Rs (Free Exit in Round 1)
- If you get a seat in round 2, but don't take admission, you will lose 2 lac Rs. (Exit with forfeiture)
The educational loan depends a lot on your profile and the bank's assessment. Some banks promise as much as about 80 lacs (See this tweet: twitter.com/justgetmbbs/status/1143021706920914944?s=20)

How are the placements in deemed universities... And inflow of patients?
In some deemed colleges like KMC Manipal Mangalore JSS Mysore and rest Karnataka and Odisha pvt hospitals its comparable to govt colleges. KMC interestingly has more patients than many newer AIIMS and govt colleges
But these gems are few so choose wisely

5 lacs per year? No way. Don't get cheated by any one. Go through proper counseling.

Yes, it is showing only 2019-20 now. But, I think they should be getting the permission for 2020-21.

Hello sir ,Sir i am scoring 270 and my parents are planning to get me admitted to D.Y. PATIL Mumbai.Sir the fees to me feels like a burden.I feel that dropping would be better just to give myself 1 more chance.What should i do please give me some genuine advice.
If you think you can improve your performance by at least another 200-250 marks, it is worth repeating. Explain to your parents and convince them. But, if your score increases only by another 50-100 marks, then its of no use. You will be in the same position again.

It's just a suggestions from my own experience but seen many student improve up to 300 mark in neet. I am a 3 year dropper 301 with 12th,483,496,513 my mark in neet . Last year got 330 in biology this year reduce to 280 in biology. I improve alot in physics from last year. Chemistry always constant. My parents said me last year to take admission but i didn't listen to them. But this year going to deemed college. I got alloted in ims sum hospital Bhubaneswar. For me drop was not worth because mark always remains constant. I shared my experience. You can think and take decision. But i seen many example who improve much in neet than earlier mark

Not under MCC counseling. Some states may have seats at lower fee structure. For example, Karnataka deemed universities provide few seats for Karnataka residents at a fee structure of around 1 lac/ year. But, this is applicable only for Karnataka candidates; others cannot apply to those seats.

Sir is language a problem for students from north if they take admission in tn or puducherry
If you are moving to another state, it is advisable to learn the local language in the first year of study. You have to adapt if you are moving to a new place. If you are ready to adapt, it's not going to be difficult.

Very few deemed universities have state quota. You have to check what they are charging for state quota.

I am not aware of any colleges being "black listed". Vinayaga is admitting students, so not sure why you consider them as black listed.
Colleges need letter of permission and renewal permission to admit students. Just check MCI web site if you are doubtful of any college.
