      @@larryferrell4111 "Hard to believe" is simply a turn -of-phrase. What I meant is that, in the context of modern culture, it is unusual to find someone so young and so wise, simultaneously. We are free to disagree, but I'm definitely not here to be insulted by strangers on the internet. Have a nice day.

      @HEAVENTWA Місяць тому +1

      "He's the greatest of all times with his ethics?" In the Comments section of a UA-cam video titled, "When Sugar Ray Robinson Rejected Muhammad Ali" that was put out the other day, someone posted this below:
      Great as he was outside the ring, Ali would not give autographs to whites during the period before the Supreme Court overturned his conviction for refusing military induction. I was a grad student at Ohio State when he spoke there. As he was walking up the Oval and was besieged by autograph seekers, he yelled "Black brothers and sisters only! No whites!" I kept following alongside his entourage as he gave autographs, until he noticed me walking along. "Get outa here, white boy, you ain't gettin' nothing!" he said sternly as he looked down at me. All of a sudden, his expression changed and he said, "You are short! Man, you are really, really short!" (I was 5'3" to his 6'3".) "You know what? You're a white pygmy! A white pygmy!" He started laughing and then said, "You hung in there, so give me something to write on!" I opened my notebook, he autographed it, and then shook my hand. That and Sonny Liston's autograph, which I'd gotten when he made an appearance at the Ohio State Fair after his first defeat of Floyd Patterson, are the only two sports autographs I've ever had, and are the only ones I wanted.

    You can tell the interviewer has come to personally know and came to admire Ali! You can see in the way he looks at Ali, the admiration he holds! Ali was a man who was able to attract admirers! And not because of hhis boxing talent, or his gift of gab, charming smile and good looks, or his soft spoken wit... But, because he was a man of his word,, who stood by his convictions,, who was unable to be broken by society or of what he thought was expected of him to just get by! There are very few men of that quality! And those that maintain it, will always have people look to and admire them with respect and love! A man true to himself is the only man to follow!

The NOI was a hate group that hated Jews & Whites.

      @@hungrysurfer9471 I don’t agree with this line of thinking. It’s an over simplification of human interaction and lacks any depth of perception. All things aren’t equal, even when they are equalized. If the races were divided, they would still suffer from prejudice, divisiveness, classism, struggles of hierarchy, social unrest and cognitive dissonance. These concepts are not limited to or dependent on whether races live amongst each other or not. These are features of humanity, not byproducts of mixed cultures and phenotypes.

The human species originates from Africa but from there the races evolved and mixed together. Every society is multicultural. And it's unrealistic to expect two people who fall in love but are different race to separate.

    I'm listening to this 54 years after and it still hurts to know what Black Americans, especially, have gone through due to racism - and are still going through. The Whites, who have killed Blacks just because of the colour of their skin - and Hitler - others who have killed - will have to stand before God in the final judgment. That's the only hope Blacks have - and other races still experiencing racism up to this day. Muhammad Ali is really the greatest! I could listen to him speak for a whole day. He stands firm in his convictions. Most men would buckle under the pressures leaning on them but he was able to stay cool and calm under fire and still hold on to his sense of humour. He could have been an Orator and would have been the greatest. This man had wits; he could think on his feet; he could talk, put his words into rhyme. Oh, what a man God blessed the world with. I pray that he's resting in Our Lord's embrace 🙏🏾

    Muhammad Ali speaks … it’s all been lost now except for those of us who were there and were impacted by the majesty of his presence and his very words.
    I’ll never forget the meetings I had with Ali … January 13 and 14, 1984, at the Seattle SeaTac Red Lion and I was able to tell and thank him in pertinent part:
    “Muhammed, I saw you in your fights with Frazier, Foreman, Cooper, Norton, Bonavena, Chuvalo, all of them and so many more. But the greatest fight you ever had was when you took on the US Government, the Military Industrial Complex, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the CIA, and told them “Hell no, I won’t go!”
    And you won that fight and were vindicated by the Supreme Court of the United States. That was your greatest fight and I, again thank you, Muhammed Ali!”
    Muhammed Ali wept as he turned his head to the side trying to shield his face from my eyes to hide his tears.
    It was at that moment in time when he penned: “To Young Firpo. Service to others is the rent we pay for our room in Heaven. Muhammad Ali, January 14, 1984”
    Here in this interview is the man, Muhammad Ali, who stood by the power of his conviction, and that conviction has stood by and with me to this very day some 38 years later, serving me in good times and bad. 🙏🙏🙏

What people saw as entertaining and fun, he wasn't there talking just for fun, the man was talking to get the message out to everyone weather you're a Muslim or not. A majority of his interviews you can see in the end he's not there to entertain us like some kind buffoon or clown, the interviews never end with everybody all happy and dandy, and it's not because he's trying to be that way on purpose, it's just that with all the shit going on right in front of him he would have to be a lying fool to himself and everybody else if he just came out and did interviews just for our entertainment. I'm not even a Muslim but in this interview alone hes packed in so much knowledge wisdom and understanding that I can honestly say that I learned more from him than any other.
