So you just need to remove the front sticker to clean the lens. Woaw. Didn’t know that. But you could also have looked at the service manual. You were literally one screw away from a ( démontage parfait ). The whole optic block ( part 402 ) can cost a lot online.
Ahh i remember the VX1000, i used to shoot some video on it for a local TV-station many years ago. The viewfinder is a piece of shit - very low resolution, and the biggest drawback on that model.
