Jacque is how I learned the basics that gave me confidence to cook properly and to make things the way I like them also. I still only roast whole chicken the way he taught me. It’s full proof.

    At around 9:50:
Julia: This would be good if you're a vegetarian.
Jacques: But some vegetarians do not even want milk(dairy).
Julia: Well, we have not invited them.
Julia Child was a savage. She reminded me of 'that one aunt' that showed up at the family get together who wouldn't hesitate to call out her fake-azz siblings. Loved her...LMBO!!!

Sweet lady. Epitome of a gracious woman. Such a humble master. Julia shared so much love to people through her cooking and teaching ❤️ You know she didn’t get her TV break until she was about 50 so it’s never too late to blossom if you’re willing to go for it. Can you imagine if she had given up or decided she was too old to launch a career. See what the world would have missed. So, look yourself in the mirror and simply say, like she said, “Let’s begin.”

I have long adored and learned greatly from both, individually, and as a fun, happy team.
But the one thing I will always disagree with is smooth, creamy mashed potatoes. When I see them prepared this way, I turn them away.
I still have teeth. When I eat, I prefer to have something to chew - at least a little bit. Not, what is essentially baby food. So it's always chunky mashed (not pureed) potatoes for me; with bits of bacon or ham, maybe pieces of mushroom, chopped leeks, roasted garlic, even finely chopped / steamed broccoli. Something to expand the flavor and give some texture to eat.
Anyway, everything else, I absolutely bow to the masters of kitchen fun. :-)
