    I agree with everyone about how they love how passionate you two are about your teachings and skills. I bet you wished you had someone do that for you when you were fresh on the nail scene. I am glad that you remind us every time that our e-file doesn’t need to be turned up to the highest RPM. I think it would be nice to know how to detect when our motor needs maintenance and how easy it is to do so. 😘

    Hi :)
    I just bought your safety bit medium (the silver) the left-handed version (thank you for catering to us lefties!) and a few other things, and I am excited to use it when it arrives! So when removing gel polish from the natural nail with the medium safety bit, I know you said in a video to use a low speed. I don't have a YN efile (i have kupa passport), does this apply to mine and potentially other e-files as well? Turn it to around 30% of the "dial"? :)

  • @marlenejordan1488
    @marlenejordan1488 7 років тому

  • @Denisejohn65NailEd
    @Denisejohn65NailEd 7 років тому +5

    @ 2:23 You say the efile will spin off the nail bed . It won't if you are having the efile go in a clock wise direction . When you are right handed , the bit needs to be spinning in the clock wise position . You are to go from the right to the left on the nail bed ....lifting up when you get to the left , then you start again at the right and go back over again . Do you know what I mean ? For left handed people , the bit should spin counter clockwise ( reverse ) and they go from the left to the right across the nail bed , lift as they get to the right side and returning back over to the left . I hope you understand what I mean . That's why there is a reverse on a efile ....for left handed people . I mean that's how I learned .

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  7 років тому +1

      Hi Denise, this is correct. If you go against the rotation you will not spin off the nail, however when you go back and forth you start going with the rotation and that is when you spin off the nail. Hope that helps.

    • @Denisejohn65NailEd
      @Denisejohn65NailEd 7 років тому

      Ok ...but you still don't see what I'm saying ....

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  7 років тому

      All good.. how Greg explained it was for right handed people. Left handed techs would work with the e-file in reverse.

    • @HamsterLife_EnglishLearning

    Excellent. One question when you have hard gel and you want to change to acrylic, it’s necessary to soak of completely the gel of the nail or you can leave part of the gel and put in the acrylic over the gel? Thank you.

    • @thearmchairjournalist566
      @thearmchairjournalist566 7 років тому +2

      Ruby Reyes it is recommended to remove the old product before doing a different system eg - changing from acrylic to gel, because for strength and durability the same system should be used from start to finish. Although gel or polish can be used over acrylic, I would not recommend putting new products of acrylic over old products of gel. That’s just what I’ve been taught but other tech’s may have a different opinion 💝

    • @melindachristie4675
      @melindachristie4675 7 років тому +1

      Ruby Reyes no not necessarily its depends on the clients needs

    • @melindachristie4675
      @melindachristie4675 7 років тому

      So once u start get clients. I need an extra course diamond or carbine barrel bit?

    • @melindachristie4675
      @melindachristie4675 7 років тому +1

      I think u must leave a thin base to redo designs or change the shape. If u were too get hard gels its better to soak them off properly and start again. But its not necessary Gel and acrylic are made w the same ingredients just in different consistencies.u can even use gel polish over nail polish just dry it 1st completely.

    I have a questioned. When I use my E-file on myself, no issues but when I’m doing a customer they complain of burning from the bit and I have the best bits from you and others. Am I possibly putting too much pressure?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 роки тому +1

      Yes heat is caused from dull bits, pressure or staying in one place for too long, can also be caused by working too slow

      @youngnailsinc  3 роки тому +2

      If you are trying to completely remove the product, you can remove the bulk of it with your safety bit. Once you get to just a thin layer on the nail, switch to your medium arbor band and slow the speed down to around 5,000 rpms. Use this with very light pressure to remove the remaining product.
