- Barrett Firearms Manufacturing has a tried and proven philosophy that embraces the past while forever pursing the best up-to-date business practices. Most would agree that some things in life and in business are paramount and never change; such as honesty, integrity and meeting the expectations of those being served.
Ronnie Barrett set that tone 25-years-ago and Barrett Firearms Manufacturing has remained true to the mission; build a business on relationships, quality products and service, and work from the customers point of view. The company credo is We think outside the box and always explore ways on how we can continue to improve.
Barrett rifles and related products made for civilian sport shooters, law enforcement agencies, the United States military and over 50 foreign countries that are American allies prove that point.
Barrett Firearms Manufacturing recently moved into our new multi-million dollar corporate headquarters that features expanded research and development, manufacturing, quality control and shipping. By focusing on improved operations, the results are higher productivity, morale, and ultimately a better product for our customers. We never rest on our laurels and that its always been done this way.
Our company believes that business success is measured far more than with our new state of the art facility, our largest workforce ever and a good return on our investment. Success is spelled out in the letters and emails that we receive. The following is an example:
Shaun Smith, Im with the United States military serving in Iraq. I just want you to know that I carry your XM107. Thank you for supporting the troops and for building a great firearm. I plan to buy one when I get back to the States.
Richard Deitke ( Ohio) I am a proud owner of one of your rifles. Keep up the good work.
Clay Conley, Aloha from Baghdad. Thank you for making the worlds greatest .50-caliber sniper rifle. Everyday that were on patrol, our sniper watches over us with his trusty Barrett.
Don Dietz ( New Mexico) Thank you for your efforts in trying to educate the public, politicians and bureaucrats regarding the .50 Caliber. If they succeed in demonizing the .50 Caliber, the road to more restrictive firearms legislation is made easier. Im a retired Navy weapons specialist. Your pioneering work has been of great benefit to the military services and police departments and has certainly saved many lives. Best wishes to you.
A personal letter dated October 5, 2006 from Colonel Harry K. Stringer (United States Army) says it well.
The name Ronnie Barrett will go down in the American History Firearms Hall of Fame along with Samuel Colt, John Browning, and John Garand as one of the great inventors of Firepower for Freedom in this incredible country of ours. Your greatest testimony is written on the hearts of dozens of U.S. Infantrymen and Snipers Ive talked to upon their return from Iraq and Afghanistan, many of them while recovering from combat injuries, when they enthusiastically describe the precision accuracy and devastating effectiveness of the Barrett Gun as they call it. In honor of God and country, I salute you.
Ronnie Barrett is a patriot and true-to-life Horatio Alger who dreamed big in 1982 when a dream was almost all he had. That dream has become a legacy.
The legacy of Barrett Firearms Manufacturing is being perpetuated by another generation; son Chris and daughter Angela Barrett who are also active in the business helping to take the company, its products and services further into the 21 st Century to meet the needs of an ever-expanding market. - Спорт
Right on bout time barrett got on you tube love and i love my 82a1 thanks barrett
best barrett clips ive ever seen loved the rec torture test
went and shot there m107 and m107 a1 today at barrett firearms. got to meet ronnie and the rest of the staff. shot the MRAD and rec 7. amazing day :D
REC7 is the best assault rifle ever!
My latest novel, The Prisoner, a techno-thriller is about the Barrett .50 caliber and an assassination. It's available on Amazon USA and UK.
I like the style Barrett ;)
Great rifles...
After looking at CoD, and then looking at Bad Company 2, I thought they had did a decent job doing one of these rifles justice. However I was wrong and realize like AmericanSniper83 that Barrett rifles should not be in video games because they cannot be recreated to fit what they can do in real life. I just wish buying one of them wouldn't break the bank because I would love one :)
If Barrett mad an AR in 6.5 grendel I'd be interested since the 6.8 doesn't offer enough of an accuracy advantage over the 7.62 x 39 from all that I've read.
this is why i should live in amarica.
the rec 7 is what our soldiers need, its like m16 and ak 47 combined. The military continues spend excessive money every day why not do something for the soldier and give them a rec 7.
@AmericanSniper83 I know right? In COD people don't die after being shot by a Barrett. It's a .50 M33 Ball round for heavens sake! It can stop a dinosaur! COD doesn't do a lot of weapons justice; another example would be the Vector.
@13thmistral I read an article from American Rifleman magazine (sometime earlier in 2011) in which they stated that the 6.8 SPC didn't overwhelm them with its accuracy for the wonder round that it was talked up to be. My guess as to why Barrett isn't currently making one in 6.5 Grendel is that Bill Alexander (of Alexander Arms) is charging exorbitant royalties for making 6.5 ammunition and making the competition buy 6.5 Grendel bolts from him.
@NastyChuck the 6.5mm grendel shoud already have started to replace the 5.56x45mm
though i didnt knew the 6.8 spc was that bad, i knew for an assault rifle round that fits in an sort of ar-15 rifle, it has almost the same range as a 7.62x51mm full rifle cartridge
thats awsome
though, do you know how bad the recoil is of such rifles ?
@benhez Actually I was watching the Military channel and saw Futureweapons after watching the Navy SEAL training BUDS and the REC7 was on it.
@NastyChuck it doesnt have an accuracy advantage over the 7.62x39mm ?
what hte hell was the use of that round then ?
holly cow
@hypnotoad2882 m107 (821a1) and the m107 a1 had the new suppressor. and so did the MRAD
@AmericanSniper83 That's true... I never thought of that. You could only put a suppressor on a Barrett M107, 82A1, MRAD or 98B because they don't have arrow head designs. And yeah it's called a Kriss and it won best close range combat weapon of the year TWICE. And it sucks in COD. Practically all the male young generation of today have a decent understanding (although somewhat inaccurate) of weapons due to the video game industry... but killing virtual people all day isn't very productive LOL.
DEAR Santa.............
@nunvikingsofthesea, wow buddy thats a pretty big round. Still my opinions stay the same. The 6.8X43 is still ideal. You can still carry the same number of rounds as the .223 with enough power to kill on first round.
@sfarbiter09 Why do you need a car that is capable of driving faster than the speed limit?
@jeppewie1206
Wow, do you really live in Heard Island and McDonald Islands?
I bet you get a lot of snow hu?
You should come to America!! Fast cars, good food, hot women, and big guns!!
I want to work for Barrett. Even if my job is to clean toilets.
@etucker5007 well, i think i'm going on vacation to america, to try it out. but i will probably not buy a gun. becouse i cannot take it back home..
why you need a .50 cal round to kill a deer at a mile distance i will never know...
The M200 is way better.
