It better not be, it's a game I've been reading up on the storylines for, in favor over the Half Life franchise. Sick of waiting, but if L4D3 doesn't appear in 2020 then I'd probably give up on any and all Valve games.

This music is somewhat really deep if u think about it. At first the fast paced stuff tells u that you did awesome and you escaped, but then there is a dull depressive music which gives u a feeling how the survivors watch the city or the area and wonder if the whole world has turned into this horrific jungle of zombies. If they will ever live through it. Think about a movie with this as the background.

Actually, when it comes to the difference between L4D1's music and L4D2's music, they tried to make L4D2's music more southern than modern. That's why they included fiddles, rock guitars and other musical instruments that seem rather southern. But I can see your interpretation of it, since L4D2's version of "The Monsters Within", it starts off with a drum bass that almost seems similar to Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll".
I think it's supposed to represent that the campaign in L4D2, the survivors go through rural areas of America, whereas in L4D, they go through the most urban ones

The name and feel of the theme are meant to give the feeling of a very hollow victory, because no matter where they go or what they do, the survivors are actually just ensuring everyone will end up infected eventually. They're carriers, no more human than the Infected.
This game is soooo much better played at night, it's like you have an enturely different set of sences that work perfectly with the soundtracks and the environment!
The other Infected themes are also much shorter and more immediate than the Tank's, suggesting that fast action is needed against them. The Tank's theme, however, is a slow, lumbering and frightening song to match the big monstrosity that can shrug off entire clips to the head and simply refuses to die. It's also oddly elegant for a giant monster's theme with the piano and violins, a bit like a deadly waltz. Although, fighting a Tank one-on-one is a sort of dance, dodging and attacking.
Always reminds me of my poor mate's brother. We finished NM on expert and he held off a huge horde of zombies so we could escape, costing him the achievement. The second time we finished it a smoker pulled him into a tank and he was thrown into next week. We escaped. The third completion we all made it onto the chopper. And at the same time we could hear him cheering that he'd finally survived, another friend took him out: point blank with a shotgun :D.

That's correct. The name and feel of the theme are meant to give the feeling of a very hollow victory, because no matter where they go or what they do, the survivors are actually just ensuring everyone will end up infected eventually. They're carriers, no more human than the Infected.

The other Infected themes are also much shorter and more immediate than the Tank's, suggesting that fast action is needed against them. The Tank's theme, however, is a slow, lumbering and frightening song to match the big monstrosity that can shrug off entire clips to the head and simply refuses to die. It's also oddly elegant for a giant monster's theme with the piano and violins, a bit like a deadly waltz. Although, fighting a Tank one-on-one is a sort of dance, dodging and attacking.

Always reminds me of my poor mate's brother. We finished NM on expert and he held off a huge horde of zombies so we could escape, costing him the achievement.
The second time we finished it a smoker pulled him into a tank and he was thrown into next week. We escaped.
The third completion we all made it onto the chopper. And at the same time we could hear him cheering that he'd finally survived, another friend took him out: point blank with a shotgun :D.
