Nice to see ya keep going. This is only getting my curiosity ready for more Resident Evil on this channel and other M-Rated stuff that the GameCube tried to secure.
Great video for a great game! ... Looking forward to you (eventually) getting to Tomb Raiders gamecube debut. The other PS previous gen exclusive finally opening up multiplat. But... A way to go first though 😂
It couldn't have taken that much more effort to enable 480p the same way many other games did back then, some publishers like capcom just didn't seem to push it. You can tell by just how easy it is to force these games to progressive using swiss.
Yea I’m not sure what exactly the self imposed development requirements are for 480p. Swiss can force almost all of them and Capcom went on to have progressive scan for RE0 and RE4. I’ve also seen interviews with the Monkey Ball developers saying they didn’t have time to do 480p for the first game but made sure to include it in the second game. Maybe it’s a QA thing that that they needed to make sure it wouldn’t break anything? I’d really like to get an answer to this sometime. Fingers crossed 🤞
Very much a nerd about the component cables with The GameCube, as I have my own set. So I get rather curious about which games have component support and which ones don't.
I think there’s still a a good wiki style list floating around for “GameCube games with alternative video modes” or something like that. Should list all the ones that have 480p support
The Gamecube is so great. Another solid video, thanks so much for it.
Glad you enjoyed it!

It’s one of the more interesting aspects of the GameCube era to me. Working on the Eternal Darkness episode now. So more to come soon!
I remember my mom bought the RE1 remake when we got a GameCube and after we played it and screamed she returned it for Super monkey ball 😫
Been there. RE2 was the first game that scared the f*%# out of me as a kid. 😂
This version of the first Resident Evil game would later be the base for the 2015 HD remasters.
💯

I believe that’s a 2006 release, that’ll….be a while
@@ChronCube It's not last... but, by then you'll have less than 10 to go!
