This series is a stellar act of videogame archivism, seriously well done. Great use of historical footage, a well-researched and delivered script... this is really top notch youtubing. I have no idea what quirk in the algorithm has caused you to not blow up yet, but please keep at it, it's inevitable!
I played the n64 Legends game so so much as a young teen but I somehow missed that there was a gamecube... remaster, I guess.

Gauntlet Dark Legacy is a game I always have a good time with, but feel the progression system to advance to other worlds feels a bit grindy. Still a great co-op experience! Excellent job covering the history of Atari Games here, and with the episode overall man!

One of the things I love about this series is that it's giving me a look at games I previously would have passed over at the time. Back when the GC was new and fresh, I really wasn't interested in arcade ports, or in anything that didn't really have an overarching narrative. Nowadays (with significantly less time on my hands) I find myself more interested in older games that can be played in short sessions, or are effectively arcade ports. This one is definitely getting added to the list!

I am taking a break right now but one of my first videos coming out of the break will be lead by GAUNTLET LEGENDS, so it’s fun and interesting to see how you’re approaching the same history since the Dreamcast port of LEGENDS takes a lot of stuff from the arcade cut of DARK LEGACY!
