At 7:01, the soldiers on horses reminded me of one of the last scenes in the great movie the Day of the Jackal, to me they were the same Regiment (current, of course), and marched to the same trompet sounds.
Had a flashback with the movie because of that and many other things.

C'est tres magnifique! This is just absolutely fantastic! No one else in the world, including the Brits, could do anything remotely resembling this incredible parade. And we in the States can't even approve of a few tanks in the parade on the 4th. Of course the streets in DC are asphalt and in horrible shape, so only a city like Paris---or London---could logistically do something like the Bastille Day Parade here. And if we tried to have something bigger, some judge would block it for some political reason. So I salute the French! And I want you to know that whether it is here, in the movie Casablanca, or anywhere else, The Marseillaise brings tears to my eyes.
I would love to hear the honest opinions of some of the participants: is it an honor for them? Is it just a duty to perform? Would they rather be elsewhere?
My favorite part? Probably the French Foreign Legion---who else can march in leather aprons and with axes and bring it off? And those others marching with axes, bravo to you too! And I have to say, as a guy, that even in their uniforms, there were a huge number of stunning Frenchwomen. Bravo to you too!
For every participants it is an honor to be there, they repeat the parade for weeks to be ready for the 14 of july

Soldiers who parade here are honoured publicly by the Nation represented by the president of the Republic.
They come back from different theaters of operation around the world, when they know they're selected the Legionnaires start to grow a beard for the parade.
There's a lot of different corps honoured, soldiers from Air, Terre, Mer corps ; Gendarmerie Nationale (military police), Police Nationale, Compagnie Républicaine de Sécurité (anti-riot police), Sapeurs Pompiers (firemen), students of Grandes Ecoles (military schools), particular units who just came back from Mali, Central African Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, Chad, Djibouti, Iraq, Lybia........ And there are Belgians, Japanese and troops from Singapour too in this year parade, because they worked alongside the French for some operations.
So it's not really a duty for them, it's a pride, to walk on the Champs-Elysées on July 14th, a pride for them, for their families, for their comrades, and for the French Nation. It's a tradition the French are really fond of.
Well in France it has been a thing since 1880 so it has become a tradition. However, looking at Trump trying to make a military parade a thing (like his best dictator friends) is pathetic!

This is the rarest military parade that I have seen, generally the military parades the troops march from south to north or north to south, but in this one, the troops march towards the front and then they split in two to the sides

Second, I want to explain the difference between "Rising sun flag (Kyokujituki)" and "Harken Kreuz".
Some people say that "Rising sun flag" is same as "Harken Kreuz", so Europe should prohibit raising "Rising sun flag" like "Harken Kreuz".
However, this is wrong.
The reason why raising "Harken Kreuz" is prohibited is that "Harken Kreuz" represents "Nazism", in other words, "radical nationalism" and "racism".
From the beginning, "Harken Kreuz" was used by Nazis as the symbol of "Nazism".
On the other hand, "Rising sun flag" represents "Happy", "Pleasant", "Joyous" and so on.
"Rising sun flag" has been used from old time. For example, Some samurai used it as family emblem.
So, "Rising sun flag" was not made for "Imperialism". Of course, "Rising sun flag" doesn't represent "radical nationalism" and "racism".
And even now, "Rising sun flag" is used by fishermans as a good-luck charm.
If raising "Rising sun flag" should be prohibited because of relationship with "Imperialism", many flags of European countries will become to be prohibited to use.
Certainly, "Rising sun flag" was used by Japanese imperial army. And I understand the feeling of the people living in the country dominated by Japanese army.
However, Japanese people have a right to raise "Rising sun flag". I want you to understand the difference between "Rising sun flag" and "Harken Kreuz".
Finally, I want to say that the words "War criminal country" and "War criminal flag" do not exist in the world. War crime only apply to an individual in International law.
So, the claim that "Rising sun flag" should be not used because it is "War criminal flag" is wrong.

This military parade even with the fail is much more cool and badass than the north korean or the chinese one. It has as spirit, a lot of symbol mix with history feeling, not just a huge column of soldier yelling with tank.
