I d k anything about you or this channel but I’m glad people are bringing all this up about Driscoll and he’s a bad apple. I too am in az and have had a couple people “recommend “ Driscolls messages so I started looking into him. It only took one of his messages to see how he twists scripture. I’ve seen a few and none are any better. I do not agree with the doctrines of the Christianity today but I listened to some of the documentary on mars hills and glad it’s out there.
People need to know. I’m a scripture only believer. Unfortunately. I don’t think this is only isolated to Driscoll but many churches especially mega churches

My parents used to attend Mars Hill when I was a teenager. I wasn't a Christian but they forced me to come to church with them every Sunday. I pretty much zoned out and never paid attention but my parents loved Mark and his teachings. I remember when they would get out a of a service and say "Man, Mark really yelled at us today." As if that were normal. I'm horrified to know what kind of garbage he poisoned their thinking with and hope they have unlearned his teachings. It's crazy to think I've personally met this scary man.
It's due to CPTSD most people have this are drawn to these pastors ..reminds them subconsciously of feelings of childhood voids, I was probably in ya parents generation Driscoll attracted allot of people like us cos we were sheep 🐑 but hey as a grown ass man myself now with kids best way to respond to people like him is walk away and live your life away from these people.
As someone who grew up in church as a PK, it is so nice to know that I'm not alone is screaming, "THIS IS NOT OKAY, THIS IS NOT WHAT MINISTRY IS ABOUT!" Thank you for being so loud about it.
I attended Mars Hill for just over three years and he was terrifying; so many people who belonged to the congregation are currently involved with another deeply hateful church and I feel bad for them, moving from one system of abuse to another. Mark and other "leaders" like him need to be stopped.

That podcast was so good covering his time at that church, their next subject needsssss to be about what happened after he moved to Arizona. The toxicity never stopped!
Driscoll is a master at building cults. His poor daughters, judging by the kissing situation, are probably treated like his property.
If Mark Driscoll was a virgin before he was married, he might have some credibility.

Mark Driscoll found out that his daughter kissed a boy (or a boy kissed his daughter) and told the boys father that his son should never talk to his daughter again. Mark then got onto his daughters social media accounts and told the boy to erase all content related to his daughter.
But yes your suspicion about him treating his daughters like property is correct.
Mr. Driscoll is definitely...something. I work at a non-profit. We do, of course, file a yearly 990. We also have a financial audit every single year. We take a lot of donations, and our donors expect transparency, plus we receive federal funding as well. It should be mandatory for churches to do the same.

20:23 - I used to make videos making fun of Mark's theology. He has the weirdest ideas about dating and all such related.. He brought out a guy in one of those Bubble Boy type balloon ball outfits and said this is basically how you have to be until you are married. So hilarious.

Every church should go through the book "The Emotionally Healthy Church: A Strategy for Discipleship that Actually Changes Lives" by Peter Scazzero. God is in charge and he has a way of humbling arrogant people who think they are in charge.

I know the video about the Attributes of God isn't directly related to the others, but she does a really good job at explaining the Attributes of God. I wanted to link it more as a reference because I'm not great at explaining.
The other three videos I thought made a lot of sense. The problem I found in it though was that it didn't address a few key things. Wrath is one of the Attributes of God, so how does that effect the theory they provided. Things like the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah in the old testament were acts of wrath. So wouldn't that mean that God means it literally as an act of wrath for rejecting Him. Or would this theory be more accurate since during the old testament they were living in the old covenant and we our now in the new Covenant.

I totally understand if you don't want to or don't have time to, but I would like to talk with you. I grew up in a very similar almost identical way when it comes to ministry. I'm now an adult and have some very specific struggles. I don't really have someone irl who will understand. I would also be overjoyed to talk with you about the old testament. That's what I have been studying recently.

As a born again christian I'd go a lot further to keep him and their church in your prayers. This video (as informative as it is) is just out right gossip and just spreads hatred towards Mark.

I agree his words are definitely not Christ-like. It’s infuriating how many people this man has hurt all while presenting himself as a man of God.
And thank you! I actually did an elimination diet at the beginning of the year to find out which foods were not agreeing with my body (I have endometriosis and a hormone imbalance) and I cut those out/limited how often I ate them and started focusing on eating healthier foods 😊
