    I really enjoyed this episode being new to the scene being able to hear the progression of how this all came to be as far as the NYC group is concerned was dope. I started riding in July being locked down in the house looking for something to get into finding EUC's was life-changing. As a resident DJ for the past 15+yrs once the bars closed I was in limbo.. so finding the grandeur Life channel then Koji rolls then Ustride to your channel needless to say I was hooked instantly. Super thankful to you guys for pushing the sport forward and spreading the word.. 💪

    Thank you for the conversation. I am with you on the Bladerunner love. The original Bladerunner is definitely in my top 5 all-time movies. I also respect Akira.

    Chris is a true talent, Basquiat. Talented ppl seem to gravitate towards each other.
    EVX, what do you think about the Sondors Metacycle? Do you think it can compete with the Onyx?

    • @evXNYC
      @evXNYC  3 роки тому +3

      Seems the Sondors is more of a motorcycle where onyx is just a suped-up ebike that is wildly impressive.

    Thx for starting an Euc podcast for reals.
    I totally get u guys about going to places u’d never go before u started riding. I grew up in Vegas and believe it or not I’ve never been to red rock, a poplar place right outside the city and now I’ve been there a bunch of times. I’ve gone around so many parts of my city I’ve never been before so yeah eucs are a life changing wonderful invention.

    I miss Ron's group ride videos! *"Respect the beep!"*
    Apparently, Polo was invented in Pakistan. The British then adapted it into the most common form now known.

    Good work Mickey! Have you managed to play Squadrons VR? I'm looking forward to some mind blowing augmented reality while wheeling at top speed within 3 years.... 🙌🎉

    (im mainly interested in this polo thing btw. like when and where?)
    but indulge this for a second: if you guys feel ready to put out something in terms of documentary (because after watching this, there is alot of origin story here. it resonates with skateboard culture, the supreme brand, and all aspects of it, from the various individuals' entry to culture, to the general vibe the culture develops into over time, due to the dominant personalities within it), i would try to reach out to CRYSTAL MOSELLE who just was part of creating "Skate Kitchen" which then later was spunoff into "Betty" for HBO......or even netflix. alternately, if you are familiar with the "MONEY AND VIOLENCE" (Moses Verneau) youtube series, despite its low budget production, it generated enough buzz to be followed up with mainstream content...theres other commonalities that i see as an outsider, but the foundation seems to be cementing towards this outcome..imo anyway. as example, skateboarding was still relatively a "white guy west coast thing" even by like 2001. you had to really be doing tricks and jumping down large sets(stairs) to have some respect and awe from strangers and scenefolk alike. but then when pharrell and lupe fiasco came out, the hiphop culture began to embrace it and things started to merge basically between rock and rap, like why jay z and linkin park also decided to collab around then. that was the same time supreme was still just a small little store by lafayette, no one really knew it except skateboarders. but generations grow, and that was the same generation that was transitioning between no internet life to fully connected life, while being in their prime young adulthood....so those guys dabbled into the boosted boards which then showed the general public that you no longer need to be able to balance and be athletic to push the board...you could just stand and go. after that...minds began to open up even more, and were at what were at today, with all the individual entry anecdotes to boot.
    but like...polo? when and where?
    another nice watch btw. watched and listened to it in full!
