    I’m Haitian I love the season rice 🍛 I put okra sometimes I even add cabbage 🥬 damn only our languages are different besides that we’re all the same.jamaican .Haitian .

    In India we call it Biriyani, you can add green chillies in it and use ghee, instidade of fish you can do with chicken or mutton.

      Never had it with any chicken, grandfather always use pumpkin and ackee and grace mix vegetables or a next time him use pumpkin mix vegetables and sardines or the salt fish

    We call it cook up rice. Anything in the cupboard or fridge that there is not enough of, or we have to use before it spoil, is taken to flavour the rice.

      It is important not just important but it is imperative that every house has chef you know when I was young and I wasn't yet a cook I will look in the cabinet and say it's nothing to cook my grandma looks and the cabinet and she has a Meal made within seconds now that I'm older I am able to assist myself and I know what it means to have a chef in the house that means that everybody will be able to eat the chef is very important

    One of my favourite rice right now, especially now that I'm on my no meat journey. We call that okra rice. Pigtail can also be used.

      Ms Debbie even janga but still pumpkin and mix vegetables or crayfish looking pretty miss deb I am from swift river Portland we live right next to the river my grandfather. Salt him pork, beef , catch fish and smoke them even have Kreng kreng out a kitchen smoke tripe,bacon and every thing, ms deb I live in America and I salt my own meat , I have salt mackerel, salt fish , salt pork, salt beef them say u tek the gal outta de country but you can’t tek the country outta the gal I don’t buy these things my mother just cook a pot a callallo with some of my pig tail I went to work came home them Nyam it off big up ms debbie

    Hello Aunty... Thanks for taking the time to introduce real Jamaican cooking... I would like to say that IF you take out the seeds of the tomato and cook them from the beginning with the ginger it will give a deeper color and tastes better... I prefer not to use sal' fish and okra... but I can tell that this would be delicious... keep up the good work Aunty...

    I tried this for my family tonight and they loves it. I am not a rice eater so this was new to me and my family. Rice being cooked at our house.😃we loved it.
