Our Harriers used to put on a great show during Navy Days in Portsmouth way back. Me and my sons would be sitting on an aircraft carrier watching just a a short distance away. The Harrier always tipped its nose at the end. Boy was it loud too!
I remember taking the family to a RAF at home day at Biggin Hill in the 70's and a Harrier Jump Jet went through it's routine on the runway and my 8 year old son being awe struck as the pilot demonstrated the planes manoeuvres. My wife and I were stationed at Homestead AFB back in the early 1980's. We had nothing like that at Miami Beach then. Wow. We had F-4's and finally F-16's. The sheer thrust of the directional exhaust nozzles impresses like a Harrier or other VTOL aircraft. The crowd loved it.

That was cool AF!! I’m in tears watching this because it fills me with such awe and pride! I’ll bet the pilot was grinning from ear to ear and feeling joy, as well. 😍
Thank you for posting!! I live near Luke Air Force Base. The F-35's started flying around April 9th (I think). They fly over our house at times. The first time they did, we hadn't realized a newer jet was being used, we could feel the jet, the house shook and it's louder. We all said, "What's that?" I then looked up latest news from the base. Thank you again! It was awesome to see!! ❤
I lived under the flight path of B52's outside March AFB, in SoCal. That 8 big jet engines slowly but surely lifting those birds over our house. Wi dows rattled, conversation stopped from the noise.
Not to be lame but: He is a highly trained pilot just like for, instance, a highly trained brain surgeon is. Flying a F35-B like that may look "cool" to regular people but for him it is just an easy moment of fun.
I work on the F-35, I help build them, I’ve been at Lockheed for years, but I could watch a B model doing stuff like this for hours & not tire of it! I’ve walked into work late a couple times because I was watching an F-35 testing/flying next to the road I drive in on! That’s because aircraft are a passion to me, a career AND a hobby (I’m also a pilot). To most in that mile-long hangar, it’s just a paycheck.
I live in the tidewater Virginia area. Omg. We get to see out awesome airmen and women every day practicing. They are so amazing!!!! Thank you for your service.
That’s really cool to see! Back about 10-15 years ago I was vacationing with a friend in Key West Florida because I hadn’t had a vacation since I was a kid (so probably 12-15 years) so Key West was amazing compared to only ever going to Ocean City, Maryland as a kid. We were on one of the beaches (I can’t remember which one, I’d have to ask my friend) and a huge military aircraft slowly flew over the beach. It was black and was either a Blackhawk or a Chinook, but you could see the pilots and the soldiers in the back with the doors slid open and their legs hanging over! It was so cool!!
Redefining Psychological Warfare. Every little kid seeing this plane float in mid air now knows they can grow up to pilot it one day, and I guarantee sooo many will. I’ve been lucky to have see the blue Angels, as a scout. At 78 it still was once in a lifetime.
HOWEVER; AMERICA’ GREATNESS. On D-Day. God Bless America.
Everybody gangster until an actual F35 pulls up
Ya damn, right!😂
😂😂😂😂
Or thinking aliens are visiting 😂😂
That's funny...😂😂
I'm in 🇬🇧 and nothing like this ever happens. Thank you for posting this video. Fabulous skills from the pilot and it was a joy to watch it. Thank you Brian 👍
I'd rather live in the UK then here.....
Our Harriers used to put on a great show during Navy Days in Portsmouth way back. Me and my sons would be sitting on an aircraft carrier watching just a a short distance away. The Harrier always tipped its nose at the end. Boy was it loud too!
@@fcamiola Feel free to leave anytime, no one is stopping you. You can talk the talk. Let's see if you can walk the walk.
I remember taking the family to a RAF at home day at Biggin Hill in the 70's and a Harrier Jump Jet went through it's routine on the runway and my 8 year old son being awe struck as the pilot demonstrated the planes manoeuvres. British invention by Hawker Siddeley. Like most British engineering companies we don't make many planes now.
@@w84q12what a dumb ass reply to a dumb ass comment.
“There’s nothing stopping you” what the fuck you mean? There are so many things stopping people from immigrating from their home country to another. Do I have to list them for you? Here’s a few:
Money
Immigration laws
Familial concerns
Employment
Etc…
Show-off. No. That was awesome!!!! Great capture.
Awesome, that pilot showed off his incredible jet!!!!!
Awesome I lived there till 1986. I was just a kid but I definitely remember when the F16s came on scene. Fourth of July at mystic lake was always something special. Best years of my life.
Thank you for your service, sir
Thank you for your service! My father was a USN jet mechanic for the earliest F-4’s. He died as a result of service in 1964. My American hero.
Thank you for your service 🫡
I grew up across from
Norton Air Base in San Bernardino, Ca from 60's until it closed for good.😥 We always had a front roll seat to the jets, the huge carrier planes etc. Watched many Air shows they flew over in complete unison. At times they would have the (sonic boom) planes that was absolutely awesome. Our whole house would vibrate. Great memories. 🇺🇲
@johnnycanread9978,
Sincere thanks for your service. May God bless you and keep you safe always.
❤️🇺🇸❤️
PS
Yes, I had my eyes on the effect the jet stream/exhaust had on the water. The pilot was exercising a lot of care to avoid the folks in the water. Lovely control.
What a treat! 🚀
I am just totally blown away by that. That was a total Maverick move. God bless that pilot and all of our troops🇺🇸🫡
WOW! JUST WOW! Many thanks to all of our Military men & women!💕
This pilot is someone who truly doesn't "work" for a living, this person 1000% LOVES their job.
Love the USA!
He has just show off his talents in piloting such amazing jets.Kudos to him whoever he is😅
Oh yes the beautiful mating call and dance of the F35B
It sounded great !
2 Word... Wonderfully Amazing.... 2nd thoughts... Beautiful TY Soldier for that. Thanks for the Post. WOW!
Totally bad ass. From the UK 🇬🇧
Thanks for sharing the technology! 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Yup the Harrier jump jet gets stealth technology!
Fighter jets are the coolest! I've seen the most awesome airshows ever starring them and other military aircraft in my 46 years, and I never get tired of it.
Everybody in that beach is very LUCKY,!!!
That was cool AF!! I’m in tears watching this because it fills me with such awe and pride! I’ll bet the pilot was grinning from ear to ear and feeling joy, as well. 😍
You take a lot of pride in xxxxxxxx millions of innocent people around the world? Hopefully, the awakening won't be painful.
I'm with you here! Truly incredible! God bless the USA!💜🇺🇸💜🙏
You’re in tears? Lol why? Bit excessive
If you do a job you love you never work a day in your life! What a great pilot putting on a show for the crowd! 👍
Had no idea they could just hover like that. Crazy engineering.
I remember being at an airshow in fort Lauderdale beach and this guy literally turn the plane upside right and made it walk. Love my Air Force.
Ho. Ly. Snapping. Turtles! That's a memory for a lifetime! I got chills just watching!
I loved everything about this!! My favorite thing though, was the wingtip to the crowd after he put on a sweet show for them !! ❤❤❤❤❤
That is awesome. Well done pilot and God Bless America.
🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤
Great Flying
Just pulling up to the beach like a total Boss. Makes you proud. Thank you to that pilot for the show of awesomeness.
Not to be lame but:
He is a highly trained pilot just like for, instance, a highly trained brain surgeon is.
Flying a F35-B like that may look "cool" to regular people but for him it is just an easy moment of fun.
The pilot decided they needed more waves.
Voyeur
Bahahahahaha
And he DELIVERED
What a unexpected treat for the people on the beach and such fantastic skill the pilot have to control a aircraft like a surgeon, Top Gun..👍
Not totally unexpected- they were there waiting for the plane
I work on the F-35, I help build them, I’ve been at Lockheed for years, but I could watch a B model doing stuff like this for hours & not tire of it! I’ve walked into work late a couple times because I was watching an F-35 testing/flying next to the road I drive in on! That’s because aircraft are a passion to me, a career AND a hobby (I’m also a pilot). To most in that mile-long hangar, it’s just a paycheck.
You are a lucky guy ! Too cool !
Those flyby’s over stadiums are nothing compared to this. Awesome!!!!
I was there, incredible show.
Oh my goodness, that was amazing!! Wow, I didn’t even know most of that stuff was possible!
I live in the tidewater Virginia area. Omg. We get to see out awesome airmen and women every day practicing. They are so amazing!!!! Thank you for your service.
That was awesome! I am so glad it was captured and posted! ❤
Best UFO footage Ive ever seen. It was just hovering there! So clear!
Beautiful water down there in Miami
What a great gift the pilot gave everyone that day! Talk about a photo op! ❤❤❤❤❤
This is why fighter pilots are bad asses!
Pfft lol
@@Michael-ig8ne well they are 🤷

Redefining Psychological Warfare. Every little kid seeing this plane float in mid air now knows they can grow up to pilot it one day, and I guarantee sooo many will. Same concept as the FD pulling the fire truck up to a school and letting kids climb on it. What do you get? “I wanna be a firefighter!”
Probably won’t tbh. They’ll all be autonomous.
Thank you for sharing something exciting and fun to watch!

That ‘most American thing ever’ is a British design from the 1960’s.
It’s from the original Harrier jump jet invented by the British in the 1960’s.
