For my proudest gaming achievement....a few things come to mind. The first that immediately came to me, probably partially because the game is close to my heart, is unlocking and beating all of the Master stages in Super Monkey Ball for the GameCube. This requires a very fine amount of control over the GC analog stick, because the game is entirely in tilting the level to move the ball. Aside from that, 100%, including all Shiny Gold time attack medals in Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii. The time requirements for the medal beyond Gold that gave it a little shiny mark were VERY tight, and the game was long and hard to begin with. 100% also included Hard mode, which was doing every stage in the game mirrored with one HP and no checkpoints IIRC... And the third was having I think 65 of the 66 platinum medals in TimeSplitters 2 for the GameCube, which was also extremely strict across a variety of challenges and in some cases very luck reliant. For those who don't know, TimeSplitters is the series that is essentially a spiritual successor or offshoot of the GoldenEye and Perfect Dark FPSs from the N64, and TS2 is the Melee of that series - it's a truly excellent game.
Damn, I've heard RE7 is really scary - sorry that you got pwned by it because of your friends when you were young. I still haven't played it. But yes, 4 isn't very scary like the early REs, it's more tense and anxiety inducing because of the speed, aggression and amount of enemies thrown at you, plus having to Protect Ashley at times too. No Merchant is a pretty fun and not too hard of a challenge to complete, relative to how difficult some challenges get. The only issue is that you have less time with the legendary RE 4 Merchant voice lines. Got a good selection of things on sale, stranger 👋
Oh me getting owned was my own fault. What happened is that I was trying to get my friends in school into gaming but I mostly played shooters which they found boring. They also talked about horror movies at the time so I thought let's try horror games instead. That was the worst idea I could have come up with since they loved it and since at the time only I had a pc strong enough to run games like Outlast 1 and 2, Amnesia the dark descent and of course RE7, they got their brothers who lived in Canada to allow me to play those games on my system. While we never played those games together, they would always ask me what I thought and what happens next which forced me to play them even though I hated horror games. RE7 is not that scary in the beginning and even in the middle, but the end....... well I would happily not touch it or all of those other games again LMAO😅
I heard it was a republican congressman brought that bill about the 3rd presidential term forward....I don't know if he is actually in Trump's camp or just doing his own thing, but I personally don't think it's a good idea.....I wish we had more limits on politicians here in Canada. Trudeau has been PM now for almost 10 full years.
Welp........ I am from country whose PM is about to stay for 15 years😅. I personally would support such a thing since in my opinion a nation cannot get much progress in just a decade (or in America's case 8 years) and you need one party to make the progress needed in a country since the next party usually undos some of the things that the previous administration did which just resets the country to where it stood before. Though what I don't like is this stupid caveat of 2 consecutive term presidents not allowed to recontest. Its seems too arbitrary and lacks sound reasoning IMO. If you wish to argue that a country can also be destroyed by a bad leader staying in power for that long then that is a fair argument however that is where the powers of impeachment come into action and if the leader somehow manages to take this power away from the public........ well you get what happened in Syria and what is happening in Myanmar currently but I would like to keep those topics out of a gaming focused channel.
