The old Royal Enfield 350 engine never had great appeal to me. I know that in India there is even a true cult of this engine. But aesthetically for my eye is not attractive. The thing changes with the 650 engine. Just seeing it one says: aggressiveness, power, strength and above all noise. I once commented that this beautiful motorcycle the only defect for me, it was the horrible mufflers. But these two projects solved that. If you ask me, for my liking it is the Interceptor model that immediately attracted my gusto. Bravo, bravisimo. Greetings from Guanajuato Mexico

So great to receive a new episode of Rtv. I think the RE 650s are the perfect slate from which to launch a cafe racer customization project. They are basic machines that truly represent the cafe racer mentality. Thanks for showing this machine. I picked up a BMW R9T Pure to customize into a cafe racer when it first came out in 2017 but if the RE650 had been around I may well have chosen it even though I am a BMW rider of 31 years.

These look like very honest bikes. Nothing crazy but everything fits perfect - nice video as always! The peashooter royal enfield examples are just to loud for my taste. Exhausts like these cause roads being closed for motorcycles in germany. Something can sound nice without being that loud.

Yes, but there are exhausts which are considered loud at any regime of the engine, like the Megaphone per example. But with the peashooters, you can ride the bike on local roads without being very loud.
I bought a second hand 535 gt from a guy in my neighborhood for the equivalent of $1,500. Spent nearly $500 just to copy k-speed's design. I extended the swingarm by 4.5" since I'm pretty tall (6'3"). Cost $500 for the tires alone. Well worth it. Have to say, the 535 is like the bullet, throttle response time is shit and the frame feels like rubber on tight turns. Had to reinforce the tubes with some Dom tubes I had lying around. I recently bought a Bajaj v-15 vikrant (150cc) and I think it's a prime candidate for a scrambler-brat build. Much like a lot of the r80 racers out there. Can't wait to start. I saved some money for a while and now I'm about to get it. Only $600. Not bad.
I've got a 2016 Black Royal Enfield 535 cc Continental GT, and it doesn't vibrate all that bad !!!! I also have a KTM RC 390 Racing Bike and they both feel Similar to ride although the KTM revs to 13,500 rpm and is a lot faster !!!! The Royal Enfield is tiring to ride very far !!!! You have to pull it over to go around corners, but the KTM goes around corners effortlessly !!!! I like the Royal Enfield. The low revving Engine is Built to last. I have had no problems with my Royal Enfield. The KTM which I bought in 2016 has had an electrical fault in the Handlebar switch gear and a sidestand that worked loose !!!! I fixed both problems and Serviced both Bikes myself !!!! I add Redex to the Petrol which makes both Bikes run more Smoothly !!!! I am Happy with both these bikes and at 69 yrs old, I don't want to buy a new Bike !!!! Now the Royal Enfield Single Cafe Racer is Discontinued it's very rare and People say it's a fantastic Bike !!!! I fitted a Cockpit Fairing on the Bike and it Really does look nice !!!! All my friends have huge Motorbikes, but people seem drawn to my Royal Enfield. My friends look on it as a Moped or Something, because they are obsessed with having a Bigger Bike than Everyone Else !!!! But they are never satisfied with their bikes, unlike me !!!!!
Hello. The mod Interceptor is my cup of tea...... why Royal Enfield do not offer this kind of beauty from their own factory?....lol!. Your Honda is simply perfect!.
Good question. As you see on these 2 projects, the Cafe Racer seats have some limitations to transport a passenger, and the clip-ons might be too low for everyone's taste. That is why royal enfield have to sell them to be 100% road legal, and to appeal for most people to by their motorcycles. Thank you my friend for your kind comment about my Honda. :) Cheers.

CX 500! Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin! And I would know... I came close to buying one of those 535s looking for something to ride while 500lbs of Pure Fun and Sheer Terror ( the CX ) got some TLC. Wished I had after coming to despise what I *did* buy. But after running what I did buy into the back of a pickup truck ( probably it's best-use ) starting over with the 650 Conti "made me whole". I haven't had it long but suspect I will.
I hope my local Enfield shop sees this video ,mainly because that’s what they will be doing to my Gt ( Hear that ( Throttle vintage) in Columbus Ohio !

Well . . . Was just about to ask if I was seeing things with the ummmm, "tire brand logo" ! The additional tire options might be a welcome alternative, unless you are wanting to make a very obvious social statement ! The obvious styling enhancements are quite handsome to say the least ! However, it's just my opinion but, I think the "Diablo" exhaust is a bit quiet for my liking ! The Chrome ( which I like better ) Peashooter style muffler has a more appealing to exhaust note, both on exceleration, and when backing off, gives that desired bark we all love ! For my personal taste, I prefer to hear my machine running ! It, I suppose, is the voice of the bike, part of it's personality if you will ! I actually do like the leather styling ques on the fuel tank, etc. ! Royal Enfield has definitely set the industry on it's heals, and at the same time, left the door wide open for personalization ! A significant aftermarket opportunity ! I do like the headlight, is that a Royal Enfield factory item, or an after market feature ? Once again Victor, two great choices !
Yes, the "Diablo" exhaust doesn't sound great on this video. But most time, we can not trust on the poor sound quality on some video cameras, for smartphones. Não é que seja impossivel, mas acho que iria ser demasiado desconfortável quer para o piloto, quer para o Passageiro. Em relação à Harley, nunca fui um grande apreciador de Harleys. Com excepção da Street 750, acho que são motos muito difíceis de transformar. Mas se é o tipo de mota que realmente gosta, força. :) Um abraço.

Looks nice but not sure about the cup holders on top of the tank.. Think I would leave that out coz it looks too much like a 1970's Ford Capri styling.
