I did get kicked out of a party once because it was a varsity party and my friend who told me to come didn't mention that, but I arrived before he did with a few other friends who were also not athletes so we all got asked to leave. It didn't seem like it would be a fun party anyways. Very dark and no room to move, but not in a good way like at a club. It was just packed.
I don't even remember. The first party-related memory I have I when my friend said she heard about a party, poured a bunch of shots for the two of us, and then realized she couldn't so many herself so I ended up doing like 7 shots and somehow even though we never found the party I ended up taking care of drunk people. I think it was the same week, but there was another night after where I hadn't had any alcohol and ended up taking care of her and some other guy while they were both drunk (again without finding the party) and I ended up breaking my foot after the guy disappeared while I was bringing her up to her room. He was fucked so I was freaking out looking for him, running down the stairs, and these two girls said to be careful which made me trip immediately, but then I didn't even go to get my foot X-rayed for 6 days because I stopped hurting after like 20 seconds. I only went because the swelling kept getting worse instead of getting better. Basically I spent my first month of college with an air cast on my foot. Getting to class when I was running late was never fun because most of my classes were on the 4th floor and I had no idea where the elevators were. I tripped a lot.
It's been two years since then. Plenty of successful parties since. Last week I got a free slice of pizza so that was cool. I was pretty drunk so all I really remember is that some random people who showed up said it was Tiki night. One of them had pineapple glasses. He seemed pretty cool.
Dang I've only ever broken small bones. In grade 8 I broke my finger playing basketball and I kinda just looked at my friend and was like "I think I broke my finger". I went to the office to call my mom and it only took her a few minutes to get to the school but my finger was so swollen already. The doctor at the clinic said it's the worst broken finger she'd ever seen. I had to wear this splint that got very sweaty all the time and smelled so bad almost to the end of the school year. The knuckle I broke healed kinda twisted and it's on my dominant hand so writing has just been weird ever since.
8 hours lecture. 2 hours for each lecture = 16 Together 24. You have 24 hours in a day. Fits perfectly they have definitely thought that through when they told you.
“If you can navigate their website, you’re smart enough”. As a high school senior applying to college, I can confirm that this is depressingly accurate.
Yea the website for my college is so fucking unusable lmao. I actually saved some links to certain parts of the website because I don't know how to get back to them.
And you have it good nowadays compared to the early 2000s, where the websites where made by some unorganized software programmers who didn't know anything about navigation/interface usability, design etc.
College Tip: Just because they serve ice cream and pizza every day at the dining hall doesn't mean you should eat pizza and ice cream everyday at the dining hall. Every other day is good enough.
I can confirm that the part about engineers in 100% true. I typically spend 20-30% of my day telling people how much homework I have, instead of actually doing it.
Right now I could be: -learning VBA -writing a report Right now I am: Watching UA-cam at 11pm You don't need to be good at time management to be an engineer...
*engineering student. It bothered me so much when the other kids in my classes freshman and sophomore years would say "i'm an engineer." History majors don't call themselves historians. Econ majors don't call themselves economists. You're majoring in engineering, so, as an actual engineer, don't call yourself one until you get your degree, cause you look like a jackass.
Aye me too. Except I want to find a way to allow humans to not have to work, yet still have a developing society due to the efforts of the robots, and find ways to ensure nobody is left homeless or poor.
As a lesbian studying CS, I can tell you it sucks for us as much as for them. If the percentage of straight girls is low, imagine how low the chances are that one of them is gay 😭
That will prevent your system from booting the next time you turn it on. I recommend open task manager, going to details, right clicking on "My Life", mouse over on "set priority", then click on "low." Thank you, please come again.
+Tympanista Make sure your processor isn't overclocked when you set your priority to low. An over worked processor will calculate the the low priority score continuously until it dies. To avoid this download Netflix. Netflix will consume calculations on your processor and nullify it's ability to run the low priority sub routine.
I can tell you from experience that Engineering is an incredible degree to get. Not only do you get a decent job, you also get alcoholism. It’s a 2 for 1 deal.
Exactly. I studied computer science and we didn't have any literature/help from teachers. We were all self taught basically, which is completely ridiculous.
i'm studying english philology and we obviously learn the academic/british accent. literally only 2 teachers out of ~12 actually speak british. the rest are on the level we were in highschool, like, it's not even american. it's just painful to listen to...
I dropped a cs class cus the prof was terrible at teaching and sped througjh everything. He told the class he had adhd and dyslexia, so he would off track talking about something unrelated every 5 minutes, and he would spell some words completely wrong. Idk why he chose to be a prof, but I have to retake the course with him cus he's the only one teaching it -_-
Highschool physics= okay measure how much force a ball has rolling College physics= measure the angle of collision if an uneven tennis ball hits a moving truck heading eastward down a highway with kinetic friction on a inclined track. Then measure how far the ball travels after the collision with air resistance using mars gravity
It's actually harder than that. Highschool physics: Determine the electric force between two point charges q and -q 500 metres away from each other. University physics: Two long, straight wires, carrying opposite uniform line charges density +- lambda are situated on either side of a long conducting cylindrical cylinder as shown. The cylinder is grounded, has radius R, and the wires are a distance A from the axis. Find the potential at point r(x,y,z).
I can tell u guys this is 100% accurate. U don't make friends, u don't get laid, there is barely any homework but u need to study hard, and there is no such thing as a college party.
"So I'm a guy taking computer science and I still want to meet girls, what do I do" " It means you F***ed up. As someone who got a computer science degree I wholeheartedly agree with this lmao.
Matthew O'Connor Nice I also am attending computer science classes, at 16 and I was able to start college early and pass the exams to not have to pay for college
Quik thats alright, I started attending Quantum Psysics classes when I was 11, and was able to fund my own college from money I made teaching calculus to Stephen Hawking.
Boy my college was a tale of two Tom's. 1.02 GPA and a total free love hippie stoner from 2008 to 2011, got kicked out and banned from community college. My life was basically summed up by the song This Afternoon by Nickelback or Last Friday Night by Katy Perry. Went back thanks to a family lawyer, would go on to graduate with a degree in finance top 3% of my class in 2018 with 5 honors. I did all of the partying and none of the schoolwork and then all of the schoolwork and none of the partying. It took 12 years but what a ride!
Not true, there are several trade jobs that will certainly be worth your time. Some only require a high school degree. Progressives have been pushing the idea that you have to go to college to live well, which simply isn't the case.
I graduated in a STEM degree with high gpa. If i could do life all over id go to community college and get into dental hygeine or some trade school that actually specializes in something with actual hands on experience. The debt, stress, and time isnt really worth it.
Im doing Computer Science and theres one white girl in my C++ class and she's probably like a 4 outside the classroom but inside she's like an 8 or 9 inside the classroom.
If your class has a 25% ratio of ladies in the classroom, believe me it's a Godsend. This coming from a recent grad who took, Visual Basic, Java, C++, and Unity (no ladies in that one though)
This is so true of engineering and similar careers/jobs. Where I work there's a chick who's probably a 3 in real life, but by my god she's like a 12 in there. There are only old guys and old women working there. So, yeah she's a goddess :/
It was a nursing lecture instead of the small physics class of about 30 students that I was expecting. Slightly embarassing moment, so much so that I was too embarrassed to leave.
i have something to add, i finished high school with basic marks, i passed all grades with a c, and some with a's and b's. such a science, but for college they wanted a bit more from me, so said maybe try other courses, shit i didnt want. so then i was essentially stuck on a 2 year course that i didnt want to do, i wont lie, i was lazy, complaicant, i didnt take it serious, i goofed off most of the time and just messed around, eventually i dropped 2 courses (you take 4-5 total in college in the UK) so i only had a 2 course college experience for another year, i did even worse, the lack of incentive to go take more lessons made me even more lazy to go to the ones i actually had to, this mixed with a teacher who was fun and didnt care too much, and surrounded by students who didnt even want to be here also (it was forensic science, interesting, but incredibly dull due to assessent work, and low rewards for getting into uni) i mentioned multiple times to the head i wanted to do maths, and physics. he made a deal, if i completed the years course and passed, i could come back and take the courses, this made me happy and motivated for a while, but i guess being lazy and ignorant came second nature, i never finished that year. so fast forwards 6 months, i wanted to go back into college, i was unable to attend my last one as i was kicked out for not finishing my course. so i went to a different one, this time giving up on my hopes of going into physics. i took game design, boy was that the stupidest mistake to make in my situation, i was surrounded by people who wanted to game all day, haha, i wont lie it was incredibly fun, but easy, too easy really, i had doubts that this course would lead no where, so i dropped out after 3 months in hopes of joining the army, a last resort sorta thing, i felt hopeless. so anyway i didnt join the army, and got enrolled onto a ''drop out'' course, for people who didnt go to college, and were fresh from high school, i wasted so much time here too, many failed attempts to gain an apprenticship later, fast forward 7 more months i land a job, minimal wage, carpentry stuff, making gates. and this is the main point i wanted to make, when you work from 8am, to 5pm, doing something physically demanding, and something you dont enjoy, for little to no money after tax and bills, those long hours in college seem like fucking heaven. never did my actions become more apparent when i started working full time, i dont like the job, and i know for sure its not something i want to persue. its not awful, i work with friends, but i dont feel accomplished, like im being the best i can be, its making me more and more depressed each day. so currently um buying online courses, putting in the hours after work, and finally going off to uni to study engineering. i wont let fear dictate my choices, if im too stupid to succeed, then im too stupid, but at least i know i tried. so thats my addition, dont let long hours in school deter you, it could be worse. you could be doing something you hate, that drains you, makes you depressed, for little to no personal, or financial gain. never have i, or hope to again ,feel this trapped, it eats away at your mind.
i blame myself mostly for not taking education or my learning seriously for the 3 years i left high school, id like to add 6 months before i got my job, i had tried to apply for higher education, its a 1 year course that helps you get into uni, i was going to go into health care, but my application was ''lost'' and my multiple contact methods had failed, i had given my application in by hand, and had rang many times before the course started. i was told ''we havent reeived the application by a person of your name'' i rang again, this time i was redirected, and told my application was too late for the course (it wasnt) i rang again and again, i was just told theyd ring back when they had more info regarding my application. at this point i blamed incompetant people, i was trying, but had no help, i guess the only ones looking out for you is you, and close friends, do yourself a favour and work hard and try, no one else is going to do you any favours. also dont be lazy haha
Same kinda deal for me. Did a year of general arts after high school. Then did 2 year trades diploma cuz people said the job market was great for tradesmen. Worked for a year in said trades, tried 3 different jobs. Hated it. Went back to university for a bridging program cuz my highschool marks weren't good enough to get into uni. Finished. Picked a different university closer to home. Currently in 3rd year of my current program in law, and still questioning if I made the right decision. All I know is physical labour fucking sucks and the job security sucked. I feel like no matter what I'll always be asking if I made the wrong life decision...
Said & Done yeah man feel the same, im currently debating what choices to take, still working the same job. it sucks knowing the only current skills you have are basic, and your job and title can easily be replaced, i guess at this point hoping for a nice job is just a day dream, i want something that pays well, offers a good pension scheme, and has good security.
The description of engineering students is completely accurate. Source: I'm a recent engineer graduate. Also you'll never have to guess when you're talking to an engineer because they'll tell you. Source: I'm an engineer.
Things I wish I knew before signing up for Uni: 1. Always have some fundamental knowledge in the course subjects beforehand. Learn the key terms, jargon and basic concepts of the subjects that you will be taking before the course starts. If you only start learning when the course starts, too late. 2. Memorizing helps you now, but understanding helps you forever. Same goes for assignments, where doing the assignment on your own instead of "taking shortcuts" will help you vastly in the long run. You will see the effects during the Final Year Project and during your first (and subsequent) jobs. 3. Get as many aspects of your life handled before starting the course. When the assignments start flooding in, you will not have the time (or energy) to find a new place to stay because your current roommate is too noisy. 4. Do not waste time during your Uni years. When you step into the working world, the luxury of time will be gone. You will have not much time and energy left to improve while working 40 hours a week (compared to Uni life). 5. Build a portfolio if possible during Uni years. It is a ticket to being hired by your future employer. 6. Study a technical field which has job market demand. Remember that people will pay you based on demand, not necessarily on what you like to do. 7. Uni life is like unlimited stream of junk food. You are given time and freedom to do things. But every single moment that you spent away will either build or ruin your future. Discipline yourself even though parents are not there to tell you so. You will reap the rewards in your working life.
Build a portfolio if possible during Uni years. It is a ticket to being hired by your future employer. This, this has never been so much true. A lot of students usually think they'll start building there portfolio after they graduate.
Know that’s it’s been a few years but if I only worked 40 hours a week I’d be in heaven. I work 72 hours a week over summer and still have more time to screw around than I do in school
i graduated high school with a 2.1 GPA went to community college for two years then went to a university and graduated with a 3.7 GPA. personally i thought college was alot better than high school. you manage your time way better and i was able to focus way better.
Funny thing is, as an aerospace major, I don't have a lot of "homework", but a lot of "work-that-I-need-to-do-or-else-I'm-going-to-fail-all-the-exams-because-I-haven't-practiced-the-material"-work
Back in my day you weren't required to do any homework at all. You weren't even required to show up to class. You could skip everything right through to the final exam and make that 100% of your score for that course. Of course passing that final exam without studying hundreds of hours or getting any formal teaching is near impossible.
@@BigUriel Exactly like it should be. For my last year of highschool, since I made the wrong decision (did a whole year of economics just to realize I like engineering better, and my economics title didn't allow me to sign up for an unrelated career), I needed another diploma to get into college. So I decided to take the physics, chemistry and "math II" (a special maths course for engineering) exams, thus obtaining the required highschool diploma. I did that in 20 days without any formal teaching, just me and a couple of books. I can't imagine what it would have been like to wait a whole year (or even six months) to get into college just because of some stupid rule forcing me to attend X number of classes in order to take an exam. I understand that many people actually need to take a year-long course and take notes every single class, but many others don't and they shouldn't be punished because of it.
how the fuck do you figure having a degree makes his opportunities "limited"? It just means he can anything someone who didn't go to college could do plus whatever field he's trained for.
It's also easier because you generally don't get 8 hours of back to back classes, which gives you time to actually eat food you choose and relax your mind between classes. Also if you pick classes strategically you can sleep in until whenever you want every day.
A wise friend of mine gave me the following advice: There are no good classes, only good professors. If you'd like your life to be degraded into a heaping pile of garbage, self-loathing, and despair then I highly recommend selecting professors with low online ratings. All my favorite classes have been classes where the professor was actually a decent human being, and not an embodiment of Satan in the academic form.
Facts. It is never about the class. It is always about the professor/teacher. that's why i get triggered when there's only one prof for a class... basically doomsday at that point
Community college is legit, and you may be able to transfer your credits to a "real" school, so you can save a lot of money on the first two years or so of a bachelor's degree.
unfortunately kids want to go to college for the "college experience" which you can't get a community college, and also they're afraid it will make them look dumb. I'm with you though, my tuition is like 10% of my friends' at "real" schools
do what i'm doing then, i go to a community college and date a girl at a local 4 year college. she dorms there so i always chill there and get to go to all the parties and participate in shenanigans
+Jacob Beaumont this guy gets it I'm finishing my last sem at CC then transferring to the university that is actually much closer to me As long as you got the friends in the university, you good fam
+adza botchway I graduated June 9th, and my birthday is June 26th, so I'll be 18 in a couple of days. I didn't graduate early, my age is just a little late. I have friends with birthdays in August, so they're younger than me, haha.
FriendlyFire2830 oh dang so youre just a young senior, haha wow. im an old junior, technically senior. ill be 18 at the beginning of the school year in september
Everyone always says pick a degree you like, but millions graduate each year with unique degrees they liked and now end up at minimum or wages a little higher struggling to survive! I JUST DON'T GET THIS
people get what they like confused with what they are good at. I really liked movies and thought hey, maybe I can go to film school and create connections and end up working on commericials, then, slowly make my way up to tv, then movies. Then I realised how many other people I see on youtube with degrees in film or wanting to be film makers and how....well less well off they are. I found out I'm pretty empathtic and can communicate well and I work well with others. Now I'm going to school in the medical field.
I don't get why people would want to go to college. I'm a junior and I have a 4.0 so far I've taken 6 a classes but honestly I don't want to go to college. Rn I'm learning coding so I can hopefully invent something unique and not go to college. If I have to go my choice will be Georgia tech.
Gustav Scheid you live in georgia and wanna work in coding? Better get moving to NY or Cali cuz ain't shit for jobs here for coding. Plus most people go to college because they understand if you wanna make over 100,000 a year you gotta put in the time and study. You have a 4.0? Well start applying to MIT and other colleges because one of my friends just got into harvard and he had a 4.0.
Judging by his other videos on magnets, calculus, the excellent guide on how to build a computer and intimate insight into undergrad engineering, I would say engineer confirmed.
You should switch programs now man. Civil engineers are out of jobs really badly. Switch to electrical or chemical. Someone I know who has 20 years experience as a civil engineer can't find a job anywhere...

I remember watching this as a senior in high school and laughing along, now I'm done with my freshman year and can't believe how true this stuff actually is.
“now, of course when people think of college, they think of college parties. So I’d always wondered what it would be like if I were invited to one.” FUCKING SAME
Everything from 3:22 is absolutely spot on. Having decided to make my more artistic desires into a hobby rather than my day job I can tell you that being good at what they teach you in College can only take you so far. You must gain new skills through experience and even learn from others through personal contact or through reading even after you've left formal education. For the best in the world, learning never stops.
Same here! What I've found though is that the bro culture is so strong in my CS units that there's just no other gay dudes around. The only action I get is my homies slapping my ass :(
I studied a lot, had three mental break downs over my four years, drank a lot, had a lot of stress-sex that gave me an STD scare once, and I questioned if it was worth it all every two weeks. Well, it was a journey, no denying that.
"You don't become a chief engineer by being better than everyone at math, you get there by being better at communication and dealing with people" I think I speak on behalf of every engineering student here, that this did not alleviate our fear at all.
That last bit about being able to market yourself and your product and interact with people the right way is so true bro. I'm an engineer and it sucks sometimes making a B in a class when I know these nerds are getting 125 because of the bonus points on the test....... long pause..... but I also know what these guys aren't good at.... communication, and social engineering is the best kind of engineering out there so anyone looking to be an engineer, don't be a nerd, it actually will most definitely NOT get you hired, especially management positions.
Jacques Nicolay Depending on your definition of nerd, "nerd" and "good at communicating" are not mutually exclusive. People can be an expert or be obsessed with niche topics (technical or not) and not have a very active social life only because of priorities or personalities. Some of the best communicators I know (in my CS courses at least) are introverted and seem to keep to themselves
The part about navigating the website is pretty true. The most stressful part about uni was navigating all the extra-curricular stuff like majors, graduation requirements, trying to figure out what classes to take per semester and getting a decent schedule, figuring out tuition, etc. And the second most stressful part was of course the organic chemistry exams
FireStormHR I understood from your comment that you had become a woman, I thought that was weirdly brought up. It was only minutes after turning off my phone that I realized what you actually had meant... I therefore had to find this comment again
I took an intro CS course my first semester, and it was pretty well-balanced sex-wise. About half girls and half guys. I think the ratio really gets lopsided in more advanced junior and senior year CS courses. One of the major problems I had in college was coping with not being one of the best. I always liked physics and math, but I wasn't one of the best in my college classes, whereas in highschool, I was the one everyone would come to for help. I was just slightly above average in those classes. The only thing that kind-of saved my self-esteem was being one of the best in my com sci class, and that was probably because I devoted a lot of time to it outside of lecture. I made it my hobby. I gave myself mini-projects in java that I would just code for myself. Moral of the story, if you want to be amazing at something, make it your passion.
Woah. As an engineering major that’s making me feel a lot better. I’m not the best with math but great at communicating, so at least I have something to edge up on
This is how you succeed in life: You don't Cause success is subjective You can be picking up trash on streets and still be successful if that is what you want to do. Thats why i want to be a funni youtube man And never go collage But i will probably still go to collage because mom.
If you all are thinking about dropping out of college, just remember that there is a difference between already having a skill down to the maximum level which will help you make money so you can drop out vs dropping out because you are lazy.
@@casypp3710 I do, yes. Of the 70 or so students in my year around 30-40 are female. That does vary a lot depending on your specialization. At my school, environmental engineering is actually female dominated!
As a second-year university student, the part about everyone is more mature being a myth is way, WAY too true. We can perform amazing academic feats but people in my dorm kept setting off the fire alarm because they didn't know how to use the toaster properly (True story).
As an engineering student, that homework thing is strangely relatable. I've always thought that it will be much more easy if I had the correct study 'system' but no, it doesn't work like that. The assignments, projects and everything else really takes time .
+Theo Truter Have you looked at the job prospects for law grads lately? They're still pretty dismal, even with the fewer numbers graduating and applying. Here's another thing about those numbers: fewer people applying means law schools have had to relax their admissions standards and fewer graduates who are able to pass the bar exam, and employers are starting to catch on even if that's not wholly reflected in the statistics yet. so good news: you have a good chance of getting into law school. Bad news: Unless you're attending a T15 or at least T30 school, any degreeyou get is being valued. And worse news: law sucks, but being crushed by student debt may suck even more, so your options to leave it will be very limited. Especially if you, like I, majored in English.

What colleges are you all from?
i have something to add, i finished high school with basic marks, i passed all grades with a c, and some with a's and b's. such a science, but for college they wanted a bit more from me, so said maybe try other courses, shit i didnt want. so then i was essentially stuck on a 2 year course that i didnt want to do, i wont lie, i was lazy, complaicant, i didnt take it serious, i goofed off most of the time and just messed around, eventually i dropped 2 courses (you take 4-5 total in college in the UK) so i only had a 2 course college experience for another year, i did even worse, the lack of incentive to go take more lessons made me even more lazy to go to the ones i actually had to, this mixed with a teacher who was fun and didnt care too much, and surrounded by students who didnt even want to be here also (it was forensic science, interesting, but incredibly dull due to assessent work, and low rewards for getting into uni) i mentioned multiple times to the head i wanted to do maths, and physics. he made a deal, if i completed the years course and passed, i could come back and take the courses, this made me happy and motivated for a while, but i guess being lazy and ignorant came second nature, i never finished that year. so fast forwards 6 months, i wanted to go back into college, i was unable to attend my last one as i was kicked out for not finishing my course. so i went to a different one, this time giving up on my hopes of going into physics. i took game design, boy was that the stupidest mistake to make in my situation, i was surrounded by people who wanted to game all day, haha, i wont lie it was incredibly fun, but easy, too easy really, i had doubts that this course would lead no where, so i dropped out after 3 months in hopes of joining the army, a last resort sorta thing, i felt hopeless. so anyway i didnt join the army, and got enrolled onto a ''drop out'' course, for people who didnt go to college, and were fresh from high school, i wasted so much time here too, many failed attempts to gain an apprenticship later, fast forward 7 more months i land a job, minimal wage, carpentry stuff, making gates. and this is the main point i wanted to make, when you work from 8am, to 5pm, doing something physically demanding, and something you dont enjoy, for little to no money after tax and bills, those long hours in college seem like fucking heaven. never did my actions become more apparent when i started working full time, i dont like the job, and i know for sure its not something i want to persue. its not awful, i work with friends, but i dont feel accomplished, like im being the best i can be, its making me more and more depressed each day. so currently um buying online courses, putting in the hours after work, and finally going off to uni to study engineering. i wont let fear dictate my choices, if im too stupid to succeed, then im too stupid, but at least i know i tried. so thats my addition, dont let long hours in school deter you, it could be worse. you could be doing something you hate, that drains you, makes you depressed, for little to no personal, or financial gain. never have i, or hope to again ,feel this trapped, it eats away at your mind.
oh my god
i blame myself mostly for not taking education or my learning seriously for the 3 years i left high school, id like to add 6 months before i got my job, i had tried to apply for higher education, its a 1 year course that helps you get into uni, i was going to go into health care, but my application was ''lost'' and my multiple contact methods had failed, i had given my application in by hand, and had rang many times before the course started. i was told ''we havent reeived the application by a person of your name'' i rang again, this time i was redirected, and told my application was too late for the course (it wasnt) i rang again and again, i was just told theyd ring back when they had more info regarding my application. at this point i blamed incompetant people, i was trying, but had no help, i guess the only ones looking out for you is you, and close friends, do yourself a favour and work hard and try, no one else is going to do you any favours. also dont be lazy haha

Well, in the TF2 "Meet the Engineer" video, the Engineer literally starts the video with saying "Hey there, bud. I'm an engineer."
Things I wish I knew before signing up for Uni:
Thanks!

Same for physics. Except for labs, I don't get anything that's due, but if I skip out on the work I'll quickly fall behind and fail the course.
College is way easier than the mindless busy work they make you do in high school. Maybe its harder work, but at least its relevant to my life.
What kind of work
Isn't it the other way around? Anyway, enjoy your limited opportunities and the same job for 40 years after a college;)
how the fuck do you figure having a degree makes his opportunities "limited"? It just means he can anything someone who didn't go to college could do plus whatever field he's trained for.
It's also easier because you generally don't get 8 hours of back to back classes, which gives you time to actually eat food you choose and relax your mind between classes. Also if you pick classes strategically you can sleep in until whenever you want every day.
Sorry I mixed up college and university:) In my language we sometimes call university a high school because it goes after school.
"If a university were to burn down, everybody graduates with a bachelor's degree"
*"Ferb, I know what we're going to do today!"*

It is never about the class. It is always about the professor/teacher.

Community college is legit, and you may be able to transfer your credits to a "real" school, so you can save a lot of money on the first two years or so of a bachelor's degree.

Sleep + Social life = Bad grades

Trust me
I have no sleep + no social life + bad grades. :(
I went into college saying "ehh, i dont want to be an engineer or anything like that and everyone tells me your degree doesn't matter so ill just take something I enjoy". I am now 1 missed internet bill away from signing the rest of my life away to law school.
I’m sorry what do you do?
Real life.

School.
Scam.
No one gets invited to college parties, just find one and show up
Communication skills and being able to sell yourself are the most vital parts of finding your dreamjob.

The serious part at the end is true tho.
Ikr LOL first time I've seen him being somewhat serious in a vid
The majority of his videos are funny because they are truth.
+RandomSPHD his videos are funny, but they are also true (well, most of them)

I relate to this.
Same here! What I've found though is that the bro culture is so strong in my CS units that there's just no other gay dudes around. The only action I get is my homies slapping my ass :(

Well, it was a journey, no denying that.

I know who's got the better content.
I like CE's colour!

Casually explained has better animation. I like grade's style a bit more, but I appreciate both. :D
"You don't become a chief engineer by being better than everyone at math, you get there by being better at communication and dealing with people"

You sound incompetent
The part about navigating the website is pretty true. The most stressful part about uni was navigating all the extra-curricular stuff like majors, graduation requirements, trying to figure out what classes to take per semester and getting a decent schedule, figuring out tuition, etc. And the second most stressful part was of course the organic chemistry exams
Going to to the Military : Casually Explained
Im a computer science student, and have not talked to a woman since becoming one. 3.5 years now
how the fuck dude? where do you lot live, I live in eastern europe and study cs, I have atleast 5 to 10 girls in my class and I talk with them
@@JOnniiibllaca I wanna move to Eastern Europe then XD
I'm in America, and have 0 girls in my CS class. Except for the teacher.
Scott Krafft then shit make moves on the teacher bro 😂 she prolly a 10 in your class but irl below a five
weird. you would think after a gender transformation like that, you'd be around a lot more women.
FireStormHR I understood from your comment that you had become a woman, I thought that was weirdly brought up. It was only minutes after turning off my phone that I realized what you actually had meant... I therefore had to find this comment again
u made me spit my food , and clean my keyboard for 20 min , but also cheered me up from a really crappy week , thank you sir !
I’m not the best with math but great at communicating, so at least I have something to edge up on
This is how you succeed in life:
You don't
Cause success is subjective
You can be picking up trash on streets and still be successful if that is what you want to do.
Thats why i want to be a funni youtube man
And never go collage
But i will probably still go to collage because mom.
Part of succeeding in college is being able to spell the word.
Do whatever you want, it's your life and even if youtube falls apart, hey atleast you did what you love doing lol
If you all are thinking about dropping out of college, just remember that there is a difference between already having a skill down to the maximum level which will help you make money so you can drop out vs dropping out because you are lazy.
As an engineering student I find this really really funny 😂
Are there any girls in your courses?
@@casypp3710 yeah its actually almost 50/50!
@@matthewlong2347 Do u live in Canada?
@@casypp3710 I do, yes. Of the 70 or so students in my year around 30-40 are female. That does vary a lot depending on your specialization. At my school, environmental engineering is actually female dominated!
@@matthewlong2347 What's your specialization?
As a second-year university student, the part about everyone is more mature being a myth is way, WAY too true. We can perform amazing academic feats but people in my dorm kept setting off the fire alarm because they didn't know how to use the toaster properly (True story).
The idea of a slider between fun and money is actually great! If I had known this trick, I wouldn't have enrolled in computer science...
THIS IS ART.
Hey thanks for all the great vids keep it up
Can you explain "College and University during a pandemic"?
this made me more depressed about college yay
As an engineering student, that homework thing is strangely relatable. I've always thought that it will be much more easy if I had the correct study 'system' but no, it doesn't work like that. The assignments, projects and everything else really takes time .
Guy taking English Major, we living good in the gender ratio :)
***** Im going to law afterwards, so I should be fine
Political science is in good gender ratio until nearly all girls change their major to business in the second semester 😖😖😖😖😖
What a waste of time and money. My cousin has an English degree and works at a bar :)
Ben Dover Of course, if you only do the English degree and nothing else
