Canada does not have an extensive road network. Basic big BC loop is Vancouver, Kamloops, Banff, parkway to Jasper, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Ferry to Vancouver Island, Tofino, Victoria, Ferry back to Vancouver. You could then add a trip up to Whistler and back anytime in Vancouver.
A shorter less touristy route (avoids the Okanagan valley and Glacier parkway) would be Vancouver Whistler, 100 Mile House, Prince George, Prince Rupert, ....
You could do a variation on the first of Kelowna rather than Kamloops and get in more wine country. Or go way south through Castlegar.
For an extra big northern loop from Jasper go to Dawson City, and Watson Lake in the Yukon before back down to Prince Rupert.
The touristy adventure stuff will be along the west coast (within 2 hours of Vancouver), the transcanada or glacier parkway.
