- Continuing the series, I count 50 things that are wrong with Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee! Most people tend to hate on these Pokemon games, but why? Could there really be that many problems? It costs about $100 to get the full Let’s Go experience yet you still get less content than literally every main game before it except for the original RBY; most of which are $40 or less by now save for HeartGold & SoulSilver. My main anger towards Let’s Go is that you pay so much for so little. FireRed & LeafGreen came out 14 years prior and had more content without any $50 add ons. That’s sad.
The pokeball plus is OPTIONAL
Mika what Grace meant is if you want to get all the Pokémon you have to also get the Pokeball Plus because it is the only way to get Mew in the game. Also you have to also play Pokémon Go to get the two new Pokémon.
@@seankidwell8208 Pokemon GO is free, and they're confirmed to do a wifi mew event later on. It's an optional thing. Therefore, his point is invalid.

I missed Blue being my jerky rival. It was weird seeing this other kid and Blue being nice on the side. I miss having a mean rival as weird as that sounds. Too many nice ones lately.
Yeah. Gen 3 had Brendan/May and Wally, but at least the latter had an amazing theme in the remakes. And the former was actually supposed to be a goody-goody. Barry was a nice balance. He was your friend, but he Impatient and not afraid of saying he'd fine you if you were late, plus he was actually helpful against the bad guys. Cheren and Bianca was a bit too nice, but the former had an actual goal (becoming Champion), and the latter got some actual character development around Nimbasa. Hugh was a perfect balance, like Barry. He was your friend, but he wasn't afraid to unleash his rage. He also wanted to find his sisters Purrloin (later revealed to be Liepard) and helped against the bad guys. XY's Rivals sucked as rivals. Calem/Serena, Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor barely had any character. Hau was your friend, but at least he helped against the bad guys, like Barry and Hugh before him. Gladion was edgy, but at least he wasn't a fucking Goody-Goody Gordon.

Yeah, nice rivals can be good, as long as they aren't a pushover and aslong as they aren't in like every single game
It would be nice to get a jerk rival back, only if they do it right and add some depth to the character. Like Silver for example, he was probably my favorite rival because he was that jerk rival that pushed you to complete the game, and he also had character development and wasn't mean "just because" (which is explained in his backstory).
Hopefully the next games have an actual _rival._

Special Agent Washing Tub Nah. That’s nothing special. Just a gimic to make you buy the game. Sun and moon didn’t have a bike either because of poke ride so I guess it’s just an extension. Sad they have to sacrifice a cool item though.

Honestly, I'm glad it wasn't gen 4. Not that I don't want a Gen 4 remake, but because since Let's Go is the first Pokemon game in the switch, I expected it will be experimental. (A.K.A. Meh) I'm sure many Sinnoh fans would be upset to see their favorite generation get dumb down and just imagine Cynthia being easy (Cynthia and easy don't belong together. )

Here's something I noticed about Blue in these games that made my head hurt.
- He has a reputation as if he's the Viridian gym leader Blue from G/S/C yet sports his younger, original design
- Being the champ for a super short amount of time can't be the cause of this fame, I don't buy it
- The Team Rocket/Giovanni events still occur as if Blue hasn't already gone through all of this yet he absolutely did
So my question is....what timeline is Lets Go taking place in? None of this makes any goddamn sense.
Maybe this takes place in another different timeline
The real answer is that this is a kids game
Mudkip Fan my theory is that blue from the original timeline hoped into the lets go dimension after stopping team rocket and was stuck there for a few years and because he knew battle tactics from a different world he became famous for that, eventually sogaleo or lunala found him and returned him to his timeline leave just the lets go blue in the universe
Mudkip Fan I’m pretty sure this game is its own unique universe. As is hinted by the start of the game, where Pikachu/Eevee and you go inside the TV.

I totally agree with you! For what’s it was priced at ($60 or $100), it was really not worth it.....
All it had (as far as good things go) was nice graphics and the fact you could pet/play with your starter and feed it, and that’s basically it :/

One thing I dislike about recent games, is how the rivals are super friendly now. I miss the old days where rivals were frenemies, or even better, like Silver, a badass criminal who stole his pokemon from Birch.

I haven't played this game and honestly, I don't think I will. Just by watching some videos (like this one) and reading a lot of comments on this game, I don't like how easy it is. It makes gen 7 look like Dark Souls in comparison. I know gen 7 had its hard moments, but still. It's like there's no way you should ever lose in LGPE and I don't like that.
Dark Souls wishes it was as tough as Ghosts n Goblins, Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden, Zelda 2 etc. But yeah, one of the complaints I have about LGE/LGP is that it's too easy, piece of cake.
The jump backwards for these games is so unnecessary. Everyone says this game offers so much, bruh go back and look at previous titles.

You missed the two most important things that kill competitve pokemon. No held items and no abilities. That was the deal breaker for me and why im sticking to ultra sun.
Wasn't in the originals, not a huge issue for me. And before you point out FRLG/HGSS/ORAS, they at least have the true battle system, Pokémon catching, proper overworld, and levels.

Though I totally agree with almost everything you listed, there’s one stupid game mechanic that you didn’t mention and I absolutely hated: you have to PAY MONEY to level up your Pokémon, meaning that if you used up all your pokeballs and fought all the trainers, you were literally stuck without any way to level up.

I caught 200 drowzee after the 3rd gym and used a maxed out hypno to sweep the rest of the game.
Even though the let's go series is great there are still factors of it that suck:
1. Trading options are extremely limited now,
2. Not being able to battle wild encounters sucks,
3. Go park is also limited but hopefully that will change,
4. Not being able to turn off exp share,
5. Being unable rebattle other trainers after beating the pokemon league,
6. Training pokemon is now unnecessarily harder
The training aspect was fairly easy for me. I went i. blindly, and proposed to catch 10 of every pokemon in each route before continuing. Before I knew it, I had a lvl 42 Nidoking, sweeping Giovannis lvl 30 pokemon.
I refrained from using the candies, the "op" partener pokemon and items in battle. The game was still fairly easy.

To be honest, since the announcement of this game, I just feel underwhelmed with this game. Like... This is the best thing they could do as the first mainline Pokemon game on a home console in the year 2018? Comparing it to the games that Mario or Zelda have on the same platform is almost embarrassing. I hope they actually put effort in gen 8 considering they announced it two years ago.
Also, I'm burned out of gen 1 stuff. At first it was cool to see references to the original Pokemon but nowadays I feel is more difficult to find a piece of Pokemon media that doesn't reference gen 1.

No PCs and HMs are a good thing, though. You can change your Pokémon whenever you want to and you don't have to waste a move slot. I hope they keep that for gen 8, along with following Pokémon and the *_*OPTION*_* to use motion controls.. By the way, I hate Let's Go, so don't think I'm praising it.
Some of these just felt like they were knocked off for not having things previous generations had, regardless of how hated they were. And I also dislike Let's Go

The PC change is a terrible idea imo. You can just exploit the game by having more than 6 pokemon at high levels and just swap them out in the middle of routes, the secret headquarters, gyms and even the Elite 4, which is supposed tobe the most challenging part of the game. They already made the games easy as it is, and you can now swap an injured mon for a healthy one at any time, incluiding moments where you are not supposed to be able to go back and heal

Wait, they actually took out wild Pokemon battles!? I pretty much stayed in the dark for this game because I wasn't interested in getting it because it just looked like a glorified tech demo for what Pokemon games could be like on the Switch. Man, if I had gotten the game blind and found this out while playing I would have been PISSED.
It's not as big of a deal as you'd think. Sure, the game isn't perfect, none of them are, but it's a lot of fun.
Even Sword and Shield have wild battles. It's clear what's the superior Switch PKMN Game.
Seriously, even BDSP are better than Let's Go.
You forgot something: they completely removed abilities.
I don't care about the fact that the 1st gen games didn't have them either because that doesn't apply here. They bring in mega evolutions and a new shitmon from GO to prove that these are supposed to be the best gen 1 remakes yet, but they still removed one crucial mechanic that's been a thing since gen 3 and removed evolutions that were still present in firered/leafgreen that you could still access after beating the league (such as Crobat, Umbreon, Espeon, etc.), making this the definitive worse gen 1 remake.
Let's hope gen 8 fixes these problems so we can forget this game.

1. They could have at least given Jessie and James their Lickitung and Victreebel.
2. There was no Vs. Seeker, even though that was a thing in the GBA remakes.

I actually really enjoyed these games, my only gripe is the catching mechanic but that can pretty much be fixed by playing in handheld mode
I just can't stand that Pikachu and Evee don't want to evolve. I was so excited to have a Jolteon (my second favourite pokemon) as my starter. But that's just a personal problem I have with these games.
They did not evolve in Yellow, so that's not a problem to me.

I personally like the chibis, more than the elongated, emotionless titans that were the s&m/usum/Sw&Sh avatars. They ironically feel less human than they should.
Meh, the chibi part isn't that bad in itself, but Let's Go just looks plain bad.

After these new games came out, I was desperate to enjoy Kanto again so I just bought a copy of Leaf Green and honestly I'm having a great time with it. A huge miss opportunity is that they could of remake the Pikachu surfing minigame and put them in the "Game Arcade" if they really don't want to put gambling games anymore but they didn't even want to bother
this game is for babies....... and to make pokemon go sales to increase....... i'm pissed at no abilities for pokemon, no breeding, no eggs, no jhoto region. (i love kanto a lot, but since there was no excuse to memory and hardware this time, why didnt they add another region) and also, i can only pet either pikachu or eeve(based on the game), so what's the point????? cant they like animate 151 pokemon????

Please have your thoughts on games like ultimate or things that might come in Pokémon gen 8
No wild battles killed this game for me on the spot. If they wanted to make a catching game, fine, but doing that in a remake of a mainline game where you expect wild battles is phenomenally false advertising. I usually only catch pokemon I know I want to use, and enjoy grinding my team in battles so this went against my entire play style. What’s the fun in catching masses of pokemon that have been in these games since the beginning?

Well, FRLG, HGSS, and ORAS didn't have a fucked-up capture system or unnecessary Pokémon in the overworld either. And the rivals had about the same personality as in the originals. And they didn't have any Fakemon either.

I hate the fact I can’t battle wild pokemon how do you expect me to train my Pokemon while still having fun
Personally, I dislike how much they removed from POGO and gen 7. There’s no eggs, no later evolutions, forced motion control, and no systems to improve catch chance. It lacks the progression systems that make POGO so rewarding, like catching badges and multiple regional dexs to complete.
If they make a Let’s Go Johto, they definitely need to add more depth to the catching system
Agree the game should at least hold up to the standard of mainline remakes like FRLG,HGSS and ORAS if they did I would of bought both in a heartbeat. The things I like about the games are the only new things which are Pokemon in the over world and eevee getting a gender identifier. Besides that I don't really like anything else like the only way to get mew is behind a pay wall and meltan/melmetal is in go. So you have to spend a lot of money to 100% the games master trainers and what do you get for defeating all of them a new zone, a rare item, nope, you get a title of grand master that's it. Also, why game freak would you tease us with a grown up red/blue in SM and say were going back to Kanto and have the player characters look like red/blue kids then say no this is the characters that replaces red/blue/green. Also, it feels like red/blue/green got put in the games at the very last moment so they would sell better.
I actually like the Master Trainers (or at least don't hate them like most of the game), but hate Pokémon in the overworld which should be saved for special Pokémon such as certain legendary Pokémon.

Meh. SwSh are still better. At least that one has actual battles, Rival with actual character, Champion who is actually good with good team, and no old characters being butchered. Plus, there's no requirement for challenging the Gyms across Galar, apart from things related to the actual plot of the games.

I was hoping for the Sevii Islands to return, or have some decent Post game content other than the Master Trainers. I do LOVE that they included Trainer Green in the game...and the game itself is fun. But, being another gen 1 remake (this time with yellow): The Sevii Islands shoulda been apart of this game. That, and Gen 1 is kind of wearing itself out.

I remember my friend showing me this when I was considering getting let's go Eevee. But when we played it I was so disappointed. I saw instantly how easy it was. I looked it up and saw that shines were easy as hell and that's my favourite thing about Pokémon.
As a hardcore pokemon fan, I personally loved this game
SuperYoshiFan10090 Studios Its just the charm that makes it so enjoyable. Its a good game to sit back and relax to. It takes you back to the old kanto days and the new elements really add on to the experience. It felt like a new game

I played the first games before I could read and had a time where I was really into competitive (to a point where I wasted so much lifetime on the perfect Pokémon it got unhealthy lol) and that game just was so... chilled and cute. Like you could bond at least a little with those creatures. And honestly? I think it's great they removed the HMs, since it allows you to play a team consisting of your favourites instead of those most useful for HM-whoring.
Same I've been playing since FireRed and LeafGreen.. I'm not into competitive but I've definitely played and watched pokemon for a long time and I think this game is great!
