Ethan....they goin to tear down that house with a real wood floor???....and ppl are flying to Home depot to get that fake wood looking tile???....its a shame...This house is simply gorgeous like Versace.
WOW THAT SURPRISE AT THE END UNREAL!!! ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THE BEAUTY ALREADY IN THIS HOUSE JUST GORGEOUS!! THANK YOU WHAT A BEAUTY!!! WHAT IS UP ETHAN LOVE YOU FROM TEXAS!!! TELL MY OTHER GUYS HELLO FOR ME!!!❤
I've watched a few of your videos. I hope someone takes out the sconces, shandeliers and other high end stuff. If not, what a big waste. The woodwork in some of those homes is not cheap!
That stair case looks very 1920's. Beautiful. Up until seeing the staircase, it was hard to tell that this house was built in the 1920's. Great video, Ethan. Thanks.
Out of all your basements you’ve done this was amazing. It was finished and Cozy! The wood and wallpaper is stunning! Thanks for exploring this one for us. Absolutely loved it Ethan!!
Beautiful home! Especially like the foyer, and the Versace wallpaper. It's a shame to think this house will be torn down. Thank you for the tour, and happy New Year, Ethan
Love the house. Why always demo? Come in clean up giant lot, update bathrooms and kitchen. Everyone has to have bigger and better. Thanks, Ethan, for showing us this amazing property.
Ethan?!! This house was built in 1925, and has only ever had two owners (Neither of whom was Gianni Versace.. whom FYI never lived in Toronto? Where/how did you ever come up with that one? LOL) Although it is only a three bedroom house, it was the centerpiece of a large 7 acre estate, until it was sold the first time in 1982 when the property was subdivided by slicing off 2 large lots from each side on and two from the rear opening onto a side street. However, the gardens, ponds and tennis court, along with the circular front drive and fountain, remained with the house on the center lot. Those same 2nd owners (who lived there until 2022) did those renos and additions you noted at that time, along with the biggest exterior change which was to change the distinct bright orange (and leaky!) original terra-cotta spanish tile roof, to the brown shingles that you see today. Lastly, that "old style" wall telephone you noted in the kitchen is/was actually the video phone hooked up to an external camera to view and open the (now gone) front driveway entrance gates. I'm as surprised that you missed this detail, as I am that you choose to add the un-neccessary superfluous(and untrue) fake Versace click-bait reference? [P.S.: There are two terrific UA-cam realty sales videos (still online!) for this property from 3 years ago, which show the gardens still intact and the house fully furnished, that you might wanna add the links to on here?)
It’s click bait. These idiots keep doing this on this site. Of course Versace did not own this . He would have had to be a Canadian citizen to buy it and live there .
Hey there thanks for all that info. Just curious what is the name of the video from 3 years ago that shows the house fully intact? I’d love to see it. Thank you so much 😊
I hope they rebuild in a similar style or that fountain will look out of place and its too insanely gorgeous for removal. I really hope they salvage 99% of the interior and windows.
Gianni Versace was an iconic fashion designer. And that mansion reflects his good taste and creative influence. Thank you for sharing it with us, Ethan! This place is truly a treasure!!!
@ I’ve worn his clothes for many years. Do you honestly think a man who had an empire valued at 800 million is gonna g to spray paint his name on his walls? Very déclassé What state was this place located? Easy enough to find out if it was really his. To my knowledge. The only properties he owned in the US were Miami and NYC.
I have to say this is my favorite house so far!!! If walls could talk & tell stories…Thanks for sharing!! So sad to see all that beauty being destroyed!!
I can't find anywhere that Versace owned a home outside NYC. This one looks like it might be on Long Island. As far as I can see, he only owned the mansion in Miami, a townhouse in NYC, a place on Lake Como, Italy and a place in Milan But, whomever's home this was, I hope they reuse all the stone from the front of the house somewhere else. I'm really surprised the power is still on, especially so close to demolition. I hope they salvage a lot of things, like the leaded and stained glass windows, that mirror, the chairs, the door handles and all that beautiful wood flooring. It would be such a shame if it all gets demolished. That was a jaccuzzi and sauna. I loved the round room.
@@speedmom1702 Exactly. Versace never owned this. The Italian style interior design elements and crude graphiti mean nothing. The other homes he owned that you mentioned are extremely opulent and over the top. This home was surely nice in its day, but nowhere near his style and level of opulence.
Its sad this will be demolished! That nobody wanted to buy it and keep up its beauty. This is one of the most beautiful homes you've visited so far ! ❤️
This is one of my very favorite houses - love the floor plan and outside property. Even though it has an 80s vibe, it was clearly decorated with a lot of style/class. I am always impressed by your respect for the houses you explore and knowledge of what we are looking at i.e. you knew the Juliet balcony. How many young dudes know that’s what it’s called. 😊
This is one of my favorites!! What a beautiful place! There are so many details, the floors, trim, stairs, that hot tub built into the floor!! How can this be torn down?? I know we say that a lot but it needs to be answered! Thanks Ethan!
Oh Ethan, im n love, I could live there for the rest of my life, the whole house is beautiful , the basement is beautiful!! I wish we could keep her… 💔🙏💕 love the jacuzzi!!💕 Thank you so much very much for sharing! Keep exploring safely!👍🙏💕
My favorite room was actually the one with the bed and the curved desk. Loved the wallpaper, and all the natural wood. Great find and sad its being torn down for something more modern. Until the next adventure!
Hey Ethan, I love how you walk around and talk about the house and your experiences when doing so. It’s like having a conversation with you. Thank you for sharing
That white outdoor furniture that you thought was ugly, ugly is a vintage Victorian set. Usually there is a settee and two chairs. I saw a three piece set listed for over $1,600 dollars. So much for ugly.😀
money and value doesn’t always mean it’s pretty! i’ve seen $15 tshirts from walmart or kohl’s that are more appealing to me than some $2500 designer shirt from gucci.
What amazing house 🎉 Other than some water damage in some ceilings, its a true mansion with no damage. When do we move in😊 It is a shame it’s going away to build a cheaper looking house not a home. Thanks for showing it. I don’t know who said they saw it before, it’s so many hidden rooms.❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
That's probably the last renovation of the list of 3 or 4. The property is lovely, and has elements of a true 30's mansion, tennis court, garden folly, beauty spots. It must have been awesome in the original form. Cool place Ethan....

How do you even get permission to go into these homes. This house was fixable. What is more sad is they'll tear down this beautiful house but leave nasty buildings up. I watch so many UA-cam videos. I've seen abandoned mansions in different counties. Even they're not torn down, but think that old malls that look more like something out of a horror movie should be taken down. They're a scary mess. At least this house looks livable. 🙁
Interesting you called it "Versace's" mansion then you found "Gianni" written on the walls, that was his first name, Gianni Versace.
Yes he is the one who was shot at the steps of his home.

What a shame what a gorgeous and unique house. The wooden floors are amazing. I love the princess bedroom.
That's a gorgeous house!
Thanks for the tour Ethan. Beautiful house and i absolutely loved the basement. Did not look like a basement at all
Love that beautiful house!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
