    Good Guesses for Amne:
    Day 1 guesses:
"Does my role relate to information?"
"Does my role impact the state of the Grim?"
    Day 2 guesses:
(Information cold / game state hot):
    "Does my role impact alignment?"
"Does my role impact win or lose conditions?"
(information hot / game state cold):
    "Is my role protective?"
"Does my role relate to actions taken during the day?"
Obviously adjust questions as you get more information. But a good rule of thumb is to make your day 1 and 2 guesses narrow down the field of possible abilities as much as possible. These days shouldn't have very specific guesses, and should nearly always avoid trying to actually guess what the amne ability is.

These questions are questions though, the Amne ability states that you have to guess an ability. As a story teller I wouldn't consider "Does my role impact alignment?" a valid guess. But tthat is a very literal reading of the Amnesiac, of course your milage may very with other storytellers.

@@jaspermooren5883 it's simple enough to re-word these as guesses of an ability.
Instead of 'does my ability impact alignment', you'd say "My ability impacts alignment."

@@kirbs0001 that's still not really a guess though, a guess world be, is my ability "Each night, choose a player, if they are evil, they become good" (a brokenly OP ability, but just an example). My ability does something with alignment is not really an ability to guess. That was more my main point rather than the actual semantics of it.

    Amne idea:
If you publicly claim Amnesiac and claim that your team wins, your team loses, if you claim your team loses, your team wins

One of the many reasons why if you’re a good player you don’t volunteer to die, even if it’s not a Legion/BMR script. Multiple good players this game were playing fast and loose with their lives (including deliberately trying to look evil) which made this an incredibly entertaining video but settled for me from the moment of Niz’s death that good was going to lose.
Truly one of the games of all time, I hope to see more like it 😂

Honestly, I forgot the game was clocktower. It was just the Amnesiac guessing game.

Wait, I thought that Amnes can't ask questions after they die, isn't that part of the ability? The wiki says that all abilities are lost on death, unless it specifies "even if dead."

    • @arif_a_
      @arif_a_  10 місяців тому +9

They often can’t - we homebrew it to add the “even if dead” aspect in our games

@@arif_a_ Ah, okay, makes sense. I think that's a good idea, Amnes often die before knowing what their abilities do, which is rough especially for information abilities.

Maggie Bob's breathing was unfortunately quite loud. At least I think it was them doing it. People need to put some distance between their mouths and their mics.

1:01:44 as an example. It's quite noticable if that sort of thing bothers you - but hard to point out without seeming unkind. They seem like a really fun player, always enjoyed watching stuff with them but have noticed that issue in the past too; it's just an 'oops I wasn't muted when not talking' problem.

Yeah - I have resolved this issue, thankfully :)
