  • I always show you guys my jobs that are nice and pretty and work with no issues. Today we’ll be going over what it really looks like some days. Mess after mess some days. This was a realistic day, thought I was going home early and I ended up doing over time. Haha! #electrician #femaleelectrician #lextheelectrician #construction #commercialelectrician #bluecollar #electricianlife #fypシ #milwaukeetools #3phase

Hello Lexi, I’m a journeyman electrician too as well. Not easy for a woman to do that type of work I’ve been doing it since 96. Keep up the good work. PS I love your freckles beautiful

You really work very regularly and determinedly. By the way, the hand tools and materials you use are of very high quality. It is very difficult for us to have them in Turkey. I wish I could do the electrical technician job I did in your country.

When I first started doing handyman electric, I started getting a ton of commercial jobs where I cleaned up after a contractor who got hooked on meth. Loose connections, nicked wires from overstuffed conduit, undersize wires. He helped me buy my first house.

I'm currently working a desk job, in my mid-30s, and have been pondering switching careers to Electrician. I'm sure I would need to get in better shape (not fat, just dormant) but otherwise, from your experience would you recommend this move? I make $70k now, and really good at my job, but am just bored with computer work.

@@smileychess Approach an apartment complex and offer to repair/replace broken outlets and switches. I fixed clothes dryers on the side that people paid me to haul off. I had a friend with a store who would let me sell the appliances there. He would display them, and later split the money with me. Later on, learn to add new circuits, heavy circuits for dryers in garages and 50amp circuits for electric vehicle charging. Read and learn.

Every time I go to a service call (HVAC technician) I have to make one of two decisions: 1, Do I just go and work on what I was asked to work on? or 2, do I start working on all the other hundreds of problems that I see while on call. It's a hard balance. Crazy there was a bare copper as a neutral. Some people don't understand how hot, neutral, and ground work that's for sure.

I was drilling holes in a bathroom wall to install a handicap handhold for my (then) wife. Only place to install it was directly above the light switch. One hole I drilled was just a fraction of an inch off. With a flash and a bang, my drill bit was literally vaporized and we didn't have any lighting in our master bathroom for a couple of days until I could carefully cut away the sheetrock to expose the Romex I'd drilled into ... which had been stapled to the side of the 2x4 I was trying to drill into.

As a controls contractor project manager after you finish wiring up the the transducer, here's the risk points that i see happening next.
A sensor that isn't bilateral will be supplied that can only measure positive pressure, which won't be suitable for a vacuum pump. They will assume the controls contractor will perform startup of the VFD, and not a certified startup factory rep qualified to issue a formal startup report. Controls contractor may start up the VFD anyways and improperly program the high voltage setting causing the motor to burn up over the next ~1-2 of its life

Do not understand what you termed unshielded ground for the neutral circuit. Saw the bare ground wire illegally used for now called the grounded conductor. I used to do service calls at two old car washes. Mold everywhere and damp. If one luminare was out owner would call up and said he had a big emergency so stopped doing work for the man who called everything an emergency and got mad if I took more then halve hour getting there.
