you dont understand the hold it against you dialogue. aguni is pretending to be the guy that the king of spades killed from the memory, he says what the king of spades wanted to hear all this time as aguni knows the feeling because hes a mercenary as well.
I was waiting for y'all reactions !! you guys had me laughing! Chris was happy as hell and Johnny was mad asf and y'all arguing had me laughing so hard !you guys are both right this shit was epic!
@@ennoshita7495 he was talking about the players when he was apologizing. But what he said after it was about the flashback (sorry for my English, it's not my first language)
@@magdadias3853 You can read more about the king of spades and his backstory in the manga. His way of saving the players was mercy killing them. That was the only way for him to save them from the games. And he also did this when he was in war. That's why he had this flashback. It was better explained in the manga. But in the end he just wanted to save the players by killing them.
The king was talking about the players. When he said "in order to save you", he was just directing the conversation towards Aguni because that was the only person in front of him during his death as he was just stating his reason.
that "talk-no-jutsu" at first was definitely not about redeeming Niragi at all. the only part you can really call "self-righteous" was his comment about seven billion people. if anything it was more about proving him definitively wrong, since Niragi is completely correct about the three of them being the same. Niragi just revels in his own selfishness because he knows he's not strong enough to change, whereas Arisu has shown he can. Chishiya is in between. That's the only real difference between the three, the show spends a lot of time showing that in both seasons. If Arisu had shot Niragi under Niragi's own terms then he'd have to go on through the rest of his life knowing he proved Niragi was right all along. Besides, you can't end Chishiya's character arc without something like that. There's been a big thematic chain of paying kindness forward ever since episode 2 season 1 that is directly leading into this moment, and it needs to be paid off. Arisu shouted to Usagi during tag to save her > she mentions that courage is why she picked him off the streets after his friends died > that inspiration is what makes Arisu go back to save Takuma in the bus game > Takuma is then the one to save the King of Diamonds in that flashback in the well > which is part of why the King of Diamonds is finally able to make a choice for himself and save Chishiya > this is what makes Chishiya choose to open his heart again after closing it in his flashback and becoming apathetic for all of the show up until this point which is the reason for his entire character and personality, and you can't show that without him choosing someone's life over his own. To call it pointless would be an insult. I also do not get at all why people are surprised or shocked at this episode's events or even calling it plot armor. As was said, this is literally a liveaction anime and it has been depicted as such since the very first episode. These characters do superhuman feats all the time, it being liveaction should not impact how well that translates when it has been consistent every single episode. At that point if people still feel that way 15 episodes later it just sounds like stubbornness to me Is it realistic that the horsehead taggers could tank several stab wounds without even flinching and keep fighting, that Usagi could outrun a pressurized tidal wave for way longer than a human should, that Aguni killed a tiger with a single punch, that Kuina wiped her feet across broken bottles before defeating Last Boss and just walked it off? no lmao obviously not Are all of these season 1 examples consistent with the source material, genre, and how all 16 episodes have been so far? absolutely yes, not even a question. None of what the King of Spades or the squad does this episode is out of line
@revsjuarez2939 if you're saying they survived the king of ♠️ bc they survived the meteor then you have it backwards. If you survive the games, then you have the option to go back
20:54 Contrary to what movies and TV show you, a headshot isn't as easy as it looks, even if the guy you're trying to hit isn't an uber-merc that's skilled at moving out of the way.
@magdadias3853 When you die in the game, you die in real life. The injuries you get in the game transfer to the real world. There's no reason why a lot of these guys should've survived without proper medical treatment. They should've bled out lol
@@darklegion8008 but didn’t the meteor explosion happen before they started the games , so wouldn’t their injuries have transferred from real life in to the game and not vise versa. I think they’re still alive after those injuries because of their will to live and them actually surviving the trials and tribulations to get the opportunity at a second chance at life .
The way I see some expectations may fall short is because Eps 7 and 8 are treated as separate episodes. If the finale (rolling Ep 7 and 8 into one long ass episode) is cut and edited into an epic 90 to 120 min long finale, the impact would have been more dramatic.
i understand why you are disappointed with the plot armor but after the finale, we understand that it wasn't really a plot armor because their will to live is what matters in the borderlands
Yeah, I get what you're saying about plot armor/convenience for this episode. Despite that, still enjoyed it, but that is a legit nitpick to hold it back.

And also about the players. The flashback was there to show that he was mercy killing the players like he did when he went to war.

If you want all these peak actions with actual murders, you should watch The Raid & The Raid 2 movies.

No, the writing was not fleshed out. This was one of the weaker episodes compared to the rest. The action was fantastic though.
@Dark Legion Yeah, seen someone say the manga didn't have all this as far to the extent with them looking so injured.
Loved it!
10:35 isn’t this from avengers lol
Are y’all reacting to the new AOT trailer? It’s short but fire
Finish ep 8 then you understand why
