- This guy came by Mfuwe Lodge to check on the wild mango fruit crop. It's not quite ready (but we are starting to get a few small ones!), so he decided he'd just have a nap and a snack of some leaves before heading on out.
He's a regular, and we know he'll be back soon to check on the fruit!

Elephants never lie down unless they feel completely safe--so this must be a wonderful holiday for thè Woñkey herd.
how wonderful they feel so safe there that even the adults lay down 🥰🥰
This would be the trip of a lifetime.
Agreed. Beautiful animals, magical place
Beautiful surroundings with an amazing gentle giant at peace taking a nap under a big tree. Beautiful!
Thanks Debbie! So glad you enjoyed watching!
He must feel very safe to sleep like that with no other(?) elephants around for protection.
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing! :-)
Beautiful African vibes...
Amen
Elephant siesta.😴
Beautiful video. This is the first time I saw an elephant lying down sleeping, and I have seen many elephant videos and documentaries. Elephants are so majestic and beautiful. Looks like this elephant is living a good life. Take a nice nap and then wake up and have a snack. Now, that is living. ❤❤❤😊😊😊
The cool breeze underneath that tree must be amazing.
I guess this place will be his own territory. All this lodge would have is a hay feeder.
pisolino pomeridiano. Amazing animals😍😍😍😍
I bet this draw a lot of tourists , amazing being that close to wild elephant
How amazing! Thank you for sharing. 🐘
This is magnificent! 😍 To see him resting 🥰🐘😍 He feels safe here 😘🐘❤️
😍🥰😘
So chilled out!
We were always told if an elephant laid down for to long it would crush it's own internal organs and die
Nah, the real problem is getting back up for them
They almost always sleep on their feet
Real nice, enjoyed video.👍👍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed watching!
Living with elephants. Must be heaven every day..
It is such a privilege to observe them up close like this!
