    I think colonel is not clear on Mbizi/Shumba issue. The Mutasa in Mozambique are mbizi, the Mutasa in Midlands are mbizi as well. There is an explanation from other sourced which say the Shumba was adopted later by the mutasa in manicaland only

      Pane vakambondiudzawo kuti Zebra muchimanyika inonzi Shumba asi mataurirwo or the way they pronounce it, the sound is very different from the way they pronounce Shumba yeLion. To appreciate this I will give example yeLeopard. KuchiManyika Leopard inonzi Kamba asi kuchiZezuru, Kamba is Tortoise while kuchiManyika Tortoise is Hamba.

    Isn't shona a collective of different tribes ( manyika, zezuru, korekore, karanga etc) that was used by the colonists to simplify things. I thought ana Mutasa are manyika. So Col Mutasa vanenge varasika ipapo.
