Yagoo is going to have to retire some time too. But that won't mean the end of their legacy in the world of VTubers, and it sure as hell won't mean the end of Hololive and its legend as a whole. Those that are new will certainly carry Hololive forward, and preserve its longevity for years to come.

Aqua is the first ever holo member ive seen. After that, i found out about hololive, found amazing friends that share the same passion and have had countless hours of fun watching the girls achieve their dreams. Im so gratefull to her and all of holo to have given me a constant scource of happiness and i will never ever forget aqua for introducing me to it all. Thank u aqua!

Fell into the rabbit hole during the pandemic (one of the best decisions of my life). Was feeling jaded/disinterested in games too around that time too due to adulting - but I saw aqua streaming apex and later her solo masters journey. The game that I sucked at and dropped back when it was still beta lol - she inspired me to pick up the game again and I made my friends play it again too. Thanks to her, I reached masters too and made many fun memories with friends through gaming again. Looking back now as I’m typing this it really made me sad that shes leaving…but deep down I know she will be back eventually somewhere and I will definitely support her. But for now…辛い

Back then I was mainly listening to Utaites and Vocaloid music, so channels like Hikaristation, Fake Type, Eve, Mafumafu, DECO*27 and Jin just to name a few. Through listening to stuff like that I actually got recommended some of Asia's covers, I remember watching her Track Maker cover quite I bit. From listening to some of her covers I decided to actually go and watch her from time to time, I remember catching a few of her Apex streams, and that honestly started bringing me down the VTuber rabbit hole (Given though LostPause was also a big help there too getting me into EN VTubers). I quickly latched on to Aqua because I felt kinship with her because I was socially awkward and quite shy but getting to know so many amazing people because of VTubers helped me get past that, and a lot of that is thanks to Aqua. Shortly after, JP Gen 4 debuted and one of those girls spoke English, which made the clips and stream easier to take in, and I've been a fan ever since. But Aqua was there in the beginning. To me she was a goofy Minecraft prankster who tended to fail as much as she succeeded and had funny friends around her.

I think I've only ever heard of one case of a graduated vtuber returning to their agency though so it's not common or likely at all. Aqua must have thought about this for years and want to try something new or not have to do so much work compared to when she started when cover was still small. So like with Coco it's probably unlikely to happen sadly.

I think Aqua has more chance to return in Hololive than Coco, just because of the way she streams. Coco had a lot of ideas, she tried to push all boundaries she could within the company, so when she left, I had this feeling she would never comeback and it was confirmed in a Towa stream, she said both of them went out for dinner and Towa wanted to invite Coco again for Hololive, but she couldn't since the company now is much more strict with their rulebook, so she felt Coco would be bothered by all the rules. Aqua seems to fit a lot with the company though, and it seems she didn't actually want to leave, but she probably thought over it a lot and talked with other members about her thoughts, but I actually think that of all the graduated talents, she has the biggest chance of coming back (or that's what I would like to believe lol)

Never have I seen someone with the most perfect ending for their career. Aqua achieved everything and there's nothing to prove anymore. 6 years in the VTuber industry is insanely impressive, where most won't go past 2-3 years. Even more impressive, 6 years WITHOUT any drama, in an industry where drama is almost inevitable. And even more, more impressive : 6 years while being a big time introvert. Idol world isn't something an introvert can do easily but she did. She went out with a bang, doing the one thing she wanted and achieved : being a worldwide Idol, until the end. Aqua is Bocchi but in the final season, final episode. She became a superstar. Wishing the best for her future endeavours.
This feels like the end to that slice of life anime, you know the it's a good ending and everyones enjoying it but the tought it's the last you'll see of it is there and you want another season tought it's a great ending. I didn't know Aqua at that time so I searched her on UA-cam and that was my entry point into the Vtuber rabbit hole. I don't really fully watch her streams because I can only understand little japanese, but I always click her streams when I see that she's streaming. It really feels sad seeing the Vtuber who managed to lure me into the rabbit hole graduate 😢

Tried looking for some covers and came across Akutan's cover which became my favourite. @@LiveTwinReaction Well Coco had feelings of not belonging there for a while and it was quite strong since she didn't feel she fit the "idol" type. Aqua though, at least some part of her, feels this is home so maybe.
I think Aqua has more chance to return in Hololive than Coco, just because of the way she streams. Coco had a lot of ideas, she tried to push all boundaries she could within the company, so when she left, I had this feeling she would never comeback and it was confirmed in a Towa stream, she said both of them went out for dinner and Towa wanted to invite Coco again for Hololive, but she couldn't since the company now is much more strict with their rulebook, so she felt Coco would be bothered by all the rules. Aqua seems to fit a lot with the company though, and it seems she didn't actually want to leave, but she probably thought over it a lot and talked with other members about her thoughts, but I actually think that of all the graduated talents, she has the biggest chance of coming back (or that's what I would like to believe lol)

Never have I seen someone with the most perfect ending for their career. Aqua achieved everything and there's nothing to prove anymore. 6 years in the VTuber industry is insanely impressive, where most won't go past 2-3 years. Even more impressive, 6 years WITHOUT any drama, in an industry where drama is almost inevitable. And even more, more impressive : 6 years while being a big time introvert. Idol world isn't something an introvert can do easily but she did.
She went out with a bang, doing the one thing she wanted and achieved : being a worldwide Idol, until the end.
Aqua is Bocchi but in the final season, final episode. She became a superstar.

And anyway, it's natural to feel a loss like Aqua. It was the same thing when Sana and Coco graduated.
I remember scrolling in UA-cam and found a clip where a small streamer played with Aqua in Apex. He swapped armor with her and Aqua's viewers started subbing to the streamer. I didn't know Aqua at that time so I searched her on UA-cam and that was my entry point into the Vtuber rabbit hole. I don't really fully watch her streams because I can only understand little japanese, but I always click her streams when I see that she's streaming. It really feels sad seeing the Vtuber who managed to lure me into the rabbit hole graduate 😢
It must be liberating to go out on your own terms, and to hopefully not regret it afterwards. But since this is the first time, I wonder if it will create an exodus of older members. I hope she makes many more memories in another life!
