PBP Update: Rambouillet Start in 2023?

- We have unofficial news on the start location for PBP 2023, and it's looking like the ride will return to Rambouillet, which was the start/finish town in 2019!
Rambouillet is a great place for the ride, but it raises some logistical issues, which I discuss in my video about lodging:

watching your videos is like to feel PBP vibes again....I Participated in 2019 PBP and your videos helped me a lot. I couldn't finish PBP 2019 though due to lack of sleep and PBP Route was a big surprise with continuous ups and downs of small climbs. Usually in India, we have almost flat terrain and which costs us when we ride in France even though we have multiple SR qualifiers... Regarding Hotel booking, when I went to book in 2018 December...Rambouillet Hotels were almost fully booked well in advane.....We booked lodging in Plaisir finally. Anyways...keep it up with your videos...and good to see you. Thanks!
Thanks for the update. Do you have any suggestions on when we can book a hotel room in Rambouillet?
I so heard that 8000 people will be able to enter. I almost didn't finish because of the queues last time around when 5000 people started (90h option). I suggest either you chose 80 or 84h ...... or eat outside the controls entirely.
that is my plan... have food on me for the 1st 12-24 hours, then restock in supermarkets and eat on the side of the road... or in bakeries, restaurants, etc which are not in controls. will be more expensive, sure, but i dont want to risk time. i will consider eating in controls only if i see there is fewer people. Eating sandwiches for 3 days is doable i guess. maybe bring a collapsible cup with me, buy few of those mini soups in a bag and ask for some hot water in cafeterias. i am looking into options, without lugging pounds and pounds of food on me.
@@ivanperak285 sounds very sensible. Eat if there's a small queue but expect queues. Many many food stalls appear at the side of the road plus of course as you say bakeries, supermarkets etc. You will save a lot of time .... or be able to sleep! Good luck.
