thanks for sharing lots of cool angles, especially love when you did birds eye while walking. when you shot some on manual mode did you just use the phone app?
Thank YOU for watching! Yep, just the phone for control. I have debated buying one of the 8Bitdo controllers, but now that I'm used to the phone app, I simply haven't seen the need to spend the money.
@inquisitvem6723 Not really. There's no camera settings to adjust (ISO/shutter speed), and as far as I can tell, the X1 cranks up the ISO in order to expose for the darker areas, which, in turn, blows out the highlights.
Thank you! I'm really just learning color grading, and I edit all my videos on my phone. This video took a couple hours to shoot, and the lighting was different for just about every scene, so I first had to go in and manually adjust (color/brightness/temp/etc.) each clip individually. Once I got them all looking relatively the same, I applied a filter to the entire video and adjusted that. I then went back and tweaked the individual clips to get everything to match as close as possible. Lol, I don't know if it's the "right" way to do it, but that's how I do'd it.
Thank you for the reply, color grading can be quite the challenge when you have multiple clips and want them all to match. I’ve had this drone for a few days and I really like it.
Really nice footage. Did you hand grade it, or did you use a specific LUT? I just received mine the other day and just getting to know it. Looking forward to capturing some good shots of our upcoming travels through Bavaria, Northern Italy, Switzerland and Alsace. Did you find it difficult to control manually?
Thank you! This video took 2-3 hours to shoot, and with that comes changing light as the sun rises. I first had to adjust each clip to get white balance/exposure/color/etc. to match as close as possible. I then applied a filter to the entire video, after which I went back into the individual clips for final tweaking of the image. As for manual control, I'm quite used to it. During manual flight, the drone's speed is significantly reduced, from a 15mph top speed (when flying itself) down to about 1.5mph during manually controlled flight, so chances of you losing control of it/running into something or someone are greatly reduced. It's actually pretty relaxed.
@markr041 Thank you! I don't know what to tell ya. On my end, the highest resolution shows as 2160p. It was recorded in and exported as 2.7k, and that's the file uploaded here. Why it would show as 4k is beyond me 🤷🏻♀️
@ikhsaneddiesaputra5668 That's a difficult question to answer. On one hand, the HOVERAir is EXTREMELY convenient to use. It takes only seconds to turn it on and get flying, and it does what it does very well. On the other hand, a DJI 2SE is only $299 on amazon, it flies farther, it flies faster, it flies higher, and it has better image quality, but it's not as compact or as convenient to fly as the HOVERAir. They both have their pros and cons. It really comes down to what is best for your situation. For me, having both would be the way to go, and is my plan.
Yeah, still a beautiful city, but cheap and laid-back it no longer is. Still small, and feels smaller every day with how many people are crowding into it. You oughtta see SoCo, South First, and S. Lamar now. Nothing like you'd remember.
Best cinematic shots i've seen so far! Thank you!
@@roxi9276 Thank you so much!
Wonderful. This is one of the most cinematic sequences I have seen using HoverAir X1. Gives me ideas to shoot it that way.
I sincerely appreciate that. Thank you so much! I bet you'll create beautiful videos!
@@LifeOfIvyQuinn thank you. I surely will. I have ordered mine via my friend in US and can't wait to get my hands on it.
Very good, I've been waiting for someone to shoot video's of different angles using the modes. Keep them coming I love it. 👏👏
Thank you so much! I'm planning on it!
Looks amazing
Well done. I loved watching it especially in mind this was done with the Hoverair.
Thank you! Yeah, it does pretty well. Especially in the right light.
This showed up on my feed after I just purchased one! Awesome video, and very well edited!
Aww, thanks so much! I appreciate that. It's a fun little camera, and so quick and easy to use. No doubt you'll create some great videos with it!
Well done! Exactly the kind of video I was looking for to show off the Hover X1 drone.
Thank you!
Awesome
Thank you! I'm tryin'!
Wow, impressive. I want one of these drones.
It's a neat little piece of tech!
I didnt know that thing could back up in front of you while filming...awesome! I intend to use it in the woods though, might not work very well hehe
Yup! It's called "Dolly Track", and as long as it's not too tight where you'll be, you really shouldn't have any trouble.
@@LifeOfIvyQuinn Thanks!
Great footage!
Thank you! I really can't take credit, though. The skyline and Town Lake make it easy to get nice shots.
@@LifeOfIvyQuinn I agree as I shoot in the same location 😀 but your time of the day/lighting and edits are awesome!
@@showingaustin Aww, well, thank you!
我最近也想購買這台相機,很開心發現了這部優雅又有氣氛的影片🩵

Love these captures! And your editing. And thar color grading... I cannot believe you are just doing it manually on your phone 😮❤🎉
Thank you!
Amazing video. 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
Really would like to know how you got some angles with out being in the shot?
For some of the shots, I was flying it manually.
Superb, really well done 😊👏🏼
Thank you very much!

Is there a way to correct washed out sky and buildings at 2:47?

Really nicely done, thank you because this gave me some ideas. The quality of the video is excellent, did you upscale it by any chance?
Thank you so very much!
No upscaling. Every shot was recorded in 2.7K @ 30fps and edited on my phone with CapCut.
@LifeOfIvyQuinn But it shows as a 4K video. So you must have upscaled it, no? Nice shots, if a little heavy on the orange and teal tint.😊

Nice color Grading
Thank you! I'm not very good at any of this, and your compliment makes me feel like I'm progressing, even if it's just a little bit.

Very nice. I bought a dji recently for $250. How much was this?
how much does the drone cost?
$479 USD on amazon right now

I don’t even recognize Austin. Downtown look totally different than when I lived there 20 years ago. It’s was a small, cheap laid back place to live.
