I think I like Mirio Vs overhaul or this fight the most
Even though Deku lost, he was still the real hero of this fight for making Todoroki go all-out.
I love how this fight is for Deku's character - *simultaneously* wanting to beat Shoto as his opponent, yet save him as a person at the same time.
This fight is in 1 episode, but it carries over for how it affects Shoto directly and indirectly with the Todoroki family plotline in the future.
AND it shows a personality trait of Izuku that drives the entire final set of arcs.
@@Valandar2 Exactly. Unfortunately, people forget that the show was building up to _that decision_ since this episode.
5:06 - Deku had that dog in him this entire fight. Literally raw with how he is fighting with his body. lol As I mentioned before, some people conveniently leave out recognizing these moments when they say he's just soft.
Detail that wasn't adapted: When Todoroki's mom pour the boiling water on his face, he would not have been affected by the burns. His mom tried to use her ice power to heal him, very desperate and stupid decision but understandable. His scar is a frostburn.
that doesn't happen yet it was revealed at where the first cour of season 6 ends.

That scream from Endeavor. Is so iconic that every time Endeavor sees Todoroki he screams "Shoto".
This is still one of the hypest moments on the series.
The way you said "It's your power!" right before Deku said, was simply amazing!!! Love you reaction, love to see you cheering for them, and loved that you said in the end "Todoroki better be grateful to him forever"
The "Sauce" Squad though. Bakugo the Mayonnaise, Kirishima the Ketchup, Kaminari the Mustard, and Sero the Soy Sauce.
Up until now I can't think of a better backstory. Todoroki's is amazing. Shigaraki's is a close second
Dabi is up there as well for me.
Horikoshi (the author) said that Deku could have won if he was focused on winning instead of helping Todoroki.
He could have won but he wouldn't have been able to continue....it's losing the war to win the battle

Definitely lol, deku's quirk is literally like a bomb if he didn't hold back
deku would've won if he used all of his quirk's power definitely(because its a freaking quirk that has been cultivated for entire 8 freaking generations) but even if he did won he wouldnt be able to participate in the next battle anyways, still its really nice seeing todoroki being able to push back deku who has one for all with his might alone outside the stadium, that alone shows how strong he actually is.

One very cool detail, When Shoto was peeking at his mom in the kitchen only his Fire side was showing, probably why the mom snapped at that moment
Well isn't this a great way to start the day: with my favorite episode of Season 2
this is the best episode of the first 2 seasons by far IMO, but season 3 goes nuts
From loosing to todoroki to taking on entire class 1A all by himself 🥶🥶deku is beast now

I feel like if I was shoto in that situation and endeavor started yelling out loud I just know me with my pettyness would’ve just stopped using my left side right then and there atleast it would’ve been enough heat to to warm up my right side so I can use my ice at full power again

Deku is the embodiment of a hero in so many ways. He might have lost the match, but saved his friend. The friendship the two of them develop over the series is one of my favorites, and a big part of it is this fight.
