Finally a woman who's getting the well deserved credits for popping out awesome contents. ... was getting tired off the all-out-sausage-fest of male-mainly tutorials available. Thanks heaps!
1-"VR Rotate Sphere" (to set the center of the view) 2- adding text will be curvey ("VR Plane To Sphere" to correct it) 3- adding transtion to 360 video its vr type so ("VR Spherical Blur" as an example) 4-"VR Sharpen" its just reminder to me in the future :) thank you for this tutorial
Hi ..can you help me where to get the tools for this immersive video. I'm having bdsy party .I wanted to have a cool immersive video. What tools to provide .I really appreciate if you could help me what to buy and where to get. Thanks
Really grateful for these tips. I'm looking for this exact kind of tutorial for a last minute project I'm working on for my wedding! Would love to talk to you about it.
I'm using the VR Rotate Sphere to where I want the shot to start as per your directions exactly. You can see it move. You see the Rotate sphere numbers change. I come back from another part of the timeline and it starts off exactly where I didn't want it to start. I saved it. Why does it refuse to recognize my changes?
Yes I also render that segment of the timeline as soon as I make the changes. I'm also using standard video windows within the VR 360 environment for sound bites and a lower third name graphic for the windows. Yes I understand it changes the position and the cut off point changes as well. I render it looks all nice as it plays the clip then when I come back , complete bedlam! It shows the exact thing I DON't want people to see such as bushes or people looking from the other side. What's the point of making the changes and it does what it wants to anyway?!
This is a such useful video! One question: I have an overlay that is going through the seam at the back/side of the video and it gets cut off -- as in, the overlay doesn't just go right through to the over side since its 360. How can get the overlay to go across this seam?
Hi I notice that when you toggle the vr video display in the program monitor the screen goes to a strange profile (more like landscape). My screen does the same. However in other tutorials the screen stays basically the same (wide screen) even when toggling to 360 vr. Do you know why and how to change this?
Thanks for the video, I was laughing at your Ricoh Theta comment since I still have their first VR camera, so I know what you mean! However, they have improved. Keep the VR videos coming!
hi ... I have a problem and maybe you could help me ... how do you configure the sequence in premiere pro 2018 ... second ... when I activate the vr button and add my 360 video and I try to activate the vr button in premiere did not work ... any solution? ... thanks
Hi, i noticed your VR View preview window is a small square. This is how mine is. Do you know how i can make the window look bigger as a 16:9 Boxed look? Seen other tutorial videos with a oblong VR Preview
Hi Premiere Gal! I found this video very helpful. I started editing VR last month but the playback in my system is just horrid. Im trying to pull this from my macbook pro (mid2015) which has a 16g ram ddr3, amd radeon of 2g coupled/ intel iris1.5g graphics card. Is my system just not up to it? are there any tips I could use to improve my workflow?
I was wondering if I can make a 2D video into 3D, or make a 3D scene from after effects to 360, sorta one can pan the video. Is that possible? If it is, show me da wae.
Hi thanks for your fast reply. I also use a Mac Book Pro with Touchbar and 16 GB Ram. Do you think its enough to edit 360 VR videos? Or do you use priority your Mac Pro D700 8-core?
I mean you can't beat the speed of the Mac Pro D700 8-core, but the Macbook Pro 15" with the 2.9 hhz intel core i7 does a pretty good job, even tho it's only 16gb of ram.
Small correction, Adobe purchased a number of effects and other technology from Mettle. We also hired a couple of Mettle employees, including one of Mettle's founders, Chris Bobotis. Mettle is still an independent company, producing effects and tools, including the newly released Mantra VR.
Nice video - as usual! Do you recommend updating to PP 2018 or will 2017 do for a while longer? I can see that you are using the new lower thirds etc from -18 now...but is there a LOT more? And second question: WHY o WHY am I always at work with patients when you publish new exciting tutorials... (Still havent had time to try the kinetic text thing...)
Hey G Hosch! I highly recommend updating to PP 2018. The essential graphics panel got a new makeover and (of course future improvements are still needed) it's a heck of a lot better. Also, if you have clients that need 360 videos, update!
My effect transitions won't work. Says my computer needs GPU acceleration but I cannot find any videos on how to enable that on a Mac. Can you offer some help?
Certainly interesting, but I have to wonder how many inroads that 360° video is making for the average viewer. Is this going to be the fad that 3-D television was and fizzle out after launching with so much fanfare? In short, I wonder how useful is going to be to me to learn this only to find that I may wasted my time in the long run.
Hi John! Only use 360 video is your client needs it. I find that real estate, museums, adventure oriented clients (like National Geographic), want this time of video. Also, I just visited fox studios this past week and their innovation lab had a tons of behind the scenes videos shot in 360, so there is a market for it, it's just very limited at the moment. The way I think of it is not really a fad, but a technically that serves an ever growing interactive market.
Never heard of 360° videos before today. I wonder who is making them, and who can view them? Wikipedia doesn't have much info on them. As far as I'm concerned, if UA-cam doesn't support a video format then it's not particularly important.
Do not use Adobe Premiere for doing anything to 360 video. It destroys the 360 video in every way you can think of and then some. The video looks fine while in the player but when it's exported it's garbage. Don't believe me.. Here is a topic I posted with screenshots that show actual exported 360 video I did using Premiere Pro. community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/warning-premiere-pro-detroys-360-video-in-all-ways-do-not-use-it/td-p/10941745?page=1 Even after watching this video I still cannot get captions and text into any video in Adobe Premiere Pro. Not just 360 any video. There is no text box you can type into anywhere.
Nice! I l learned more in this one video than I did all week searching the web. Thank you!

Thanks!
Excellent video!
I don´t understand why some people need to give thumbs down to such a tutorial...
Regarding the starting point, how do I zoom out?
Thank you. Well done.

i love it...
Do we need to shoot it in 360? Or can I apply it in a wide shot.
Good job!!! But, i have a doubt. How to stabilize a 360 video at premiere ?
Really useful information, thanks for sharing.
Thank You so much :-) You are also welcome to become a fan on www.patreon.com/premieregal , that would help me a lot :-)

Hi Gal, good video. One question, can I apply premiere LUTS and editing in stereoscopic video? not VR, just one image per eye.
How can I get or buy that call out text block (graphic)?
I'm trying to get my text go back in z space...the scale from plane to sphere kind of works but not really. Is there another way?
thanks, great
I want to learn from you 360 video editing methods

Its easy - right click on the video > click on VR video > Settings > punch in 180 by 90 and you are in good shape.

How can I get the VR viewer in Premiere to show a 16:9 image, not a square one?!?
This is really helpful! I was wondering if this effect works on a laptop too?

Thank you for this video, which hardware do you use?
In this video I used a 2017 Macbook Pro 15" Touchbar, but at home I use a Mac Pro D700 8-core >> premieregal.com/gear

Thanks, Brian! I should have clarified that they bought Mettle skybox. Thanks for chiming in! :)
PremiereGal It was great meeting you at MAX! Hopefully I will see you again in a year! Keep up the great work!

Rylo 360 I what to be able to do a video like that in CC then I think it is worth it.
They purchased Skybox Studio, a plugin set made my Mettle, but I don't think they bough the whole company.

Even the built-in Film and TV app that comes with Win 10 can view and interact with the VR video. I think Facebook also supports VR video too.
Can you try and keep your hands still as it’s so annoying 😂
A lot of info to digest for a neophyte on other thing Ditch the cap the blond hair is too pretty to be covered up JMHO
