- Unboxing of my new 45 caliber Springfield 1911 A1 Loaded Target model. In the box you got a gun in a nice little pouch. A clean black envelope that contains user manual, warnings, a sticker, and warranty activation info. You get a statement on the inside of the box, wrench for the guide rod, chamber flag and an extra mag.
Everything on this looks good, even down the the writing on the slide. You got the Cocobolo wood grips brushed steel and a target sight.
I'm thinking of picking up one of these, seems like a high quality good looking 1911 with a lot of high end features for the price.
Over the passed few years and beleave its because of the videos coming out Springfield 1911s are my 1st choice i have the garrison
Just got mine a few days ago… love the video… and you’re right… the packaging was nicely done… had the same grit around the trigger as well… but that’s ok… that model of 1911 is sexy af… lol… my next one will be a Kimber tho…
Good to know about the grit! I was wondering about that when I first got it. Besides that, it does look & shoot amazing. I have a review of a Kimber Stainless ii on my channel
@@silverstone7669 Oh cool! I'll look for it!!
Dude u really are supposed to clean your 1911 frist to get that preservative oil off because when it gets heated up it turns into SLUDGE GOO. But u don't have to clean it .I have several Springfield the oldest I bought in 98 and it still runs flawless I just upgrade my mags to Willson combat 8rd and 10rd .
Most Springfields I see including yours, the extractor when looking at the gun in the back is not fitted flush to the slide. I have had 5 Springfields and they are all like that. They are also full of sharp edges. Most foreign brand 1911s (Tisas, Rock Island, etc.s tc) are fitted better than most Springfields and are smoother. Don't mean to step on the toes of Springfield fan boys but at the price Springfield is charging for their guns nowadays, they should be fitted better,. Better than the competition. After all, they are made in America.
Good to know! I was a little surprised by the fit but it's worked well since I got it
Your are crazy lol. Springfield is wayyyyy better quality than rock island and tisas 😂😂😂😂
@@justusbryant7366 You have comprehension deficit. Reread again what I said. I was talking about FITTING not quality. Springfield by and large are full of sharp edges, and the extractor aren't fitted as well as the Tisas and RIAs. Go to a gun store and be really observant of these things, don't just be a brand fan boy. I've owned 5 Springfield, 5 Colts, 3 Kimbers, and 1 RIA. I had to replace and tune the extractors on severalof my Springfield. Had to replace two sears and one hammer strut because it broke.
@danilobadua7775 boy who tf you talking to like that? That's not true at all. That's just your experience. Hasn't happened to me and it's not a fan boy it's just they make better 1911s. Learn how to shoot before you start talking trash.
@@justusbryant7366 Boy, you have comprehension deficit clear as the rising sun. We are not taking shooting, we are talking fitting and quality. Boy, you take offense when subpar issues are pointed out about Springfield, that is a hall mark of being a " fan boy ". Get it boy???
Yeah before you do anything you’re supposed to take it apart and clean it and lube it
You just sound like a complainer. Aint nothing wrong with that trigger
That’s a nice watch lol
