You should add details of the rods to the description of this post. Manufacture, model, specs, and a link to the website. That way visitors to your channel don't have to go searching.
Back in 2015 they had a 2pc spinning rod/reel combo. I bought two. Still use them. Reels finally broke, so getting new reels but the rods are still solid. They're my favorite the tips aren't soft like the walmart rods. Currently looking for new rods the only reason I don't buy more from them is cause the don't make a 2 pc medium/heavy rod anymore.
Ripping Lips has better blanks than many of the $100 plus options. It is criminal for Mad Katz and others to charge what they do for chinese fiberglass blanks.
Been looking to get a heavy rod. Low budget, might buy the older one which I assume is fiberglass. Had a very old fiberglass light spinning rod and it was fantastic. Suspect your new one is carbon, hence the light weight. New to the channel, thanks for the suggestions.
I broke 2 of the first run supercat casting rods, my opinion was they weren't designed for big fish. I did see the new design at catcon and wanted to give them another try
Good video Johnathan, I don't own any of those, but I've had my eyes on them. I switched some of my rods over from 1 of the big companies down here in NC to the B&M Silvercat rods and I like them alot. What kind of reels you going to put on them . Now let's see you putting them to work
They look like nice rods but as a bank guy and needing distance most times I'll stick with my 12' big waters. Been an ugly stick guy for almost 40 yrs they do everything I need.
Yeah, there are a lot of variables in fishing that will hold up, I think that there are 3 known factories that are making, and it is a known sheet of fiber glass, just Google up on UA-cam, how are fishing rods made
Like your videos. You drag alot of big cats in. I respect you for not being a brager. Your a great cat man.
Thanks man that means a lot

I've got an old school split handle med light super cat crawler rod. From big shellcrackers to big Channel cats it's always held its own.
I own ten ripnlips rods. Awesome quality for the price. The medium light spinnings are my favorite.
agree med lights are sweet

The old style had a split handle and IMO was better than the one you held up 1st which I currently own as well.

I think the ugly stik catfish rod is the PERFECT startup rod. Just run to Walmart and grab one off of the shelf. Great feel and can handle any fish.
